OpManager CentOS packages dependencies
Hi, I'm trying to install OpManager 12 on a CentOS 6 with minimal configuration (no X), the BIN file has execution permissions but when I execute it the process exit without errors. Opmanager - Firewall Interfaces - Rx showing 100% utilization
hello, I was wondering if someone could help me identify an issue where in Opmanager, my firewall interfaces are always reporting 100% utilization on the receive connector (Rx). I know this is not accurate as some of the interfaces show thousands of Gigs coming in. I'm thinking this is a misconfiguration or a bug.
Acem Packet
I use OpManager 12.3.201 Enterprise version, and found the probem. Opmanager central inventory view show "blank" in Category, and actual inventory item shown the category is Acem Packet. Please advise how to fix this issue. seems Acem Packet will show "blank" in category view. Thank you! Code Chang

I am trying to configure the above as more accurate measurement of memory resource exhaustion but I can't see how to add those 2 metrics. Any help would be appreciated.
Business Service - Add individual monitors or URLs
I like the idea of the Business Service Map but simply adding a server node to a service doesn't fully capture the availability of that service. Are we able to add inidividual performance monitors or URLs to the Business service? For example: A web front-end will have a URL monitor associated with that service. Another example: There are key processes or services associated with that service that I would want to capture.
OpManager Updates
I am looking to apply the latest update as our current version is the original 12 SP3 (12300). I am seeing conflicts though. On the release notes URL, the latest version appears to be 12.3.229 released on Nov 15th, 2018: https://www.manageengine.com/network-monitoring/help/read-me.html?releaseNotes But on the actual update download page, I am seeing only v12.3.210 but says it was released on Nov. 26th: https://www.manageengine.com/network-monitoring/service-packs.html So, is the version released
Business View Problems
Has anyone else noticed problems with business views? I have used the Rule Engine to send devices with specific IP address (defined by regular expressions) to different business views when they are discovered. This seems to work initially, but after reviewing the groups I noticed a few things. The List view and Dashboard views both show additional systems listed in many of the Business Views. The Map View and the Sidebar which display the number of systems in a view seem to be working correctly.
Remote Loopback NICs
Is there a way to filter out unwanted NICs during discovery ahead of time so things like LoopBack or WAN MINIPORT aren't added?
Include graph in email notification
Is there a way to include a graph in the email notification? This would be a major help if you get a performance-related email or disk space issue to see the last "X" hours (4 or 24) of data to quickly determine how severe something is. I have seen it in other products and was hoping it was in this one.
Cisco firepower 2130 model.
I have problem to use below template to discover Cisco firewallpower 2130 model. Opmanager will detect the system is Linux intead of Cisco, also OpManager will not able to detect correct interface. Different interval thresholds
Is there a way to have different intervals for different thresholds? For example: CPU Utilization, I have set to an interval of 5 minutes. I want the Attention threshold after 30 minutes (6 consecutive times), Trouble Threshold at 20 minutes (4 consective times) and Critical at 10 minutes (2). Is there an option to do that?
URL Template: How to associate with device
I am wondering what a "URL Template" is used for as one created, I can't seem to associate it with any device. This is under "Configuration -> URL Template"
Custom App Templates
Is there a way to make a custom Application Monitoring template that is made up of services, processes and other performance monitors that can be applied to a group of servers? I see Application Monitors but I can't seem to modify or make new ones. Is there a way to make a "Service Monitoring Template" that can be applied to a group of servers?
NCM - Configuration Change Detection Stopped working (12.3.219)
Hello, I recently updated OpManager to 12.3.219. Since the update, my real-time configuration change email notifications and alerts have stopped. I checked my device configurations and even re-enabled change detection under the NCM module for all devices managed under NCM. The only time I seem to get the alerts is after going into NCM and re-enabling change detection. Otherwise, no emails or alerts come in. Any help is appreciated! Hello, Is there a way to modify this field in IP under a specific IP address? It populates when I mirage a CSV file over but it doesn't have a place to change the information after the fact.
change setting for device polling detail
HI, I'd like to change the setting to store device polling detail for longer. I think by default it stores detail polling information for one week. I need to set that for longer. I can't find where that setting is? Please help this is driving me crazy.
create a script for polling APC UPS info via apcupsd
Hi, I need to poll information from a server running apcupsd which monitors serveral APC UPSes. It's a linux server and on the local CLI (apcupsd is running on) I get the information by apcaccess -p BCHARGE the CLI output is e.g.: "100.0 Percent" remotely from another computer I use: apcaccess -h 192.168.1.231 -p BCHARGE How do I convert this command into a OpManager script monitor? And shall I execute this script from the local server or monitored machine? Best

I've been ripping into opmanager from ManageEngine/ZoHo, it's got some issues and inconsistencies that are driving me nuts.. It's what we have right now, and our license is up in a couple months. We're using v11, and there is no upgrade path to v12 at the moment. Have any of you used this? Have you made the switch from 11 to 12? Is there something better in the same price range?

Patch Reboot notification on Contact E-mail Field
Hello, we would like to input an e-mail address somewhere in the device that will notify when a reboot is pending. I see there is a contact E-mail in the Device notes and not sure If I can use this as the variable. I don't believe adding "Contact Email:$CustomField(Contact Email)" in the to field will work. Any advice?

OUr previous network engineer retired and now we can not log in to the OpsManager. Is there a way to backdoor into the application from the server? I wouldn't think so but there is no way I am rebuilding this thing up. Is there any hope?

How to select MS SQL instance for 'Real time graph for a monitor'
Hello, I have Windows Server with 4 named instances of MS SQL(no default instance). When I add to my dashboard 'Real time graph for a monitor', device name, monitor category MS SQL, monitor Active transactions, pool interval and time window. It shows me Active Transactions for my fourth MS SQL instance(with list of databases). How do I choose 'Real time graph for a monitor' to show me Active Transactions for second MS SQL instance?(there is no instance selection there)
Monitoring VM Vcenter Servers with Dynamic IP addresses
Hello, We recently had some of out Vcenter VM (Servers) change IP addresses because they were dynamically set. Monitor Failing but Mib getting the data
I createds a new device template for huawei switch. I added a new monitor to get the CPU utilization. Using the mib browser over this devices I can get the data for the CPU utilization but when I go to the device and then to Monitors and test monitor it fails to get the data and going to Graph show me: Data not available. ICMP Monitoring - Devices not responding to ICMP (widget)
I have a question regarding the ICMP widget available in the dashboard. "Devices not responding to ICMP" I've tested a few nodes and they come up promptly in the "Device Down" widget but never in the "Devices not responding to ICMP". Shouldn't that be the first to show a result after a monitored IP goes down? I've made the appropriate changes for the "Echo" services to be monitored accordingly with standard alerts but that made no change with the widget. Any help is appreciated!

Hi there, I woluld like to ask if it is possible to use SQL Server Express Edition for OPManager(v.11.4) Repository? And what permissions do I need to grant to WMI Credentials user to monitor WMI performance counters for a group of servers. Uninstall OpMAnager Trial version
HI there, I installed OpManger Trial version. It worked fine. I wanted to uninstall the software but that was not possible. I decided to remove manually the entire folder C:\ManageEngine\OpManager. Now, I want to reinstall the software (free version) but I have an error message telling me that I need to uninstall the previous version.
