Sending emails to Opmanager for control
Any chance you'll add some control over Opmanager via email? I'd like the option to suppress alarms by replying to an Opmanager email alert. Either that or the ability to access Opmanager via my Blackberry.
Supporting Modems
I am not sure why OpManager has been developed to support only a small number of modems/mobile devices. I have a Blackberry that I am trying to connect via USB. The com port has been registered in Windows, but OpManager is telling me that it is not connected properly.

OpManager 8.3 upgrade - issues
Hi, After upgrading to OpManager 8.3 I found some issues: 1. Legend/Units does not show for "number" graphs in the snapshot page. See the attached OpManager_8_3_router_snapshot.png. 2. No networks are show in Maps - Network Views after discovery of networks when starting from an empty database, but nodes are added as expected. 3. Monitoring Interval for e.g. Windows 2003 is set to 5 minutes during discovery, even if the device template has been change to 1 minute prior to the discovery. See the attached

We publised opmanager to the outside world but now evenry time a connect i get an certificate problem. Is there a simple solutions for solving this problem? We would like to use our own certificates but i dont know how i can configure it with Apache. Can anybody help me with this please?

hi i'm trying to test monitor linux servers by ssh. And i found the cpu utilization shows no response,but the disk utilization and memory utilization show correctly. When i test the certificate passed,you can see the annex. please tell me how i can do? thanks

Gents, I see some more false alarms in this build. I didn't have these alarms in the 8025. Do you have the similar issue ?

Recent allarms in Snapshots
Hi, Since upgrading to version 8 (now in 8030) i have noticed that when I add a new device (router or switch) the interfaces seen during the discovery as down are seen as down and do not trigger an allarm. In this case I have interfaces on the switch or router which are down during discovery and i am not aware that they are down. Is this a normal behaviour? Build 8024 Opmanager opens the web client automatically on server reboot. I have OPManager installed as a service and I want it to run automatically, however I do not want the web client to automatically open on the Windows desktop every time I reboot the server. Currrently it sits at the Opmanager logon prompt after each reboot. This server has other roles installed on it, so I would like to only open the web client when I click on the desktop icon. Monitoring file age in build 8030
When monitoring the file age (using the file monitor in build 8030), Opmanager uses the file creation time to trigger alerts. We would like to monitor the modified time of a file. I.e. Opmanager should send an alert if the file hasn't been modified for 30 minutes. Is this possible?

Removing Process Monitors in 8030
Hi! I've updated my OpManager Version to 8030. After I restarted the server a view process monitors went to "unavailable". Unfortunately I am not able to delete them. I'm not able to delete any of them no matter if the process monitor is up or down. Hint: I've added the same process monitor again and saw a difference between the old and the new ones. The old one gets his data over SNMP the new one over WMI. (but I still can't delete any of them) Also all the process monitors on our domain controller
How to do a scheduled dump
Hi! I just want to know how I can do a scheduled mysql dump of the OpManager DB. I'd like to do that once a week. I've already found the bat-files in "OpManager/bin/backup/*.*" I thougt I could call the batch files with windows task scheduler. Is that possible? What do I have to consider? Select multiple services for "Services by Availability" dashboard widget
Just a suggestion, but would it be feasible to enable users to select more than one service to monitor on the "Services by Availability" widget? For example, I have set up a dashboard to display information just for SQL Servers. These SQL Servers don't all use the same port, so when setting up the "Service Monitors" on the individual server pages, I have had to create multiple services - i.e. MSSQL1234, MSSQL2345, MSSQL3456 etc to represent the different port numbers. [File/Folder monitor] Changing the collapsed panel behavior
Hi, Tought of putting this in a new post, since they are "Categorised". As these 2 new type of monitor "Edit window" uses collapsing panels, I would be interresting, when editing, to automatically uncollapse the configured panels, not always the top one, because if I enter a monitor I didnt setup, or I setupped a long time ago, I will have to open all the panels anyway to see what's configured and what's not. If the panel has all default values, it could be closed. If not, open it so I can see

How do you setup monitoring for MS SQL Server?
For a number of our database servers, OpManager is unable to see any of the databases contained within the server. How does OpManager "see" the databases for a given server? Is there a file with security settings? When I click on the "Select Databases to monitor" link, the resulting page is empty rather than displaying a list of databases.

Hi. My company has been using Opmanager for a few years , buying it on a per-year licensing subscription. We just renewed our licence for another year, and our reseller told user that our old "premium" licence was now becoming an "essential" one, which supposedly changed nothing I've just installed the new license file and I've just discovered that we no longer have acces to the SLA widgets, which we use a lot but are now only available in the much more expensive "deluxe" edition. Config File Manger
I am having issues with pulling down the configs off my cisco routers. I have the config-copy and config snmp set on the router. I can see the tftp server accessing the device and the file but it still pulls down nothing. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
An Error Occured
I have downloaded the latest version OpUtils 5.6 and installed it, but failed to get it started: If I try to Add a router, I always get " An error occured" If I try to Add a subnet, I also get the same error: " An Error Occured", and I have emailed the diagnostic log to the support address offered by the error handler. Do I need to do certaing preparations, prerequisite befor installing/running OpUtils.
Vista Sound Issues
Hi, I encountered an issue when trying to enable the 'sound alarm' with Vista. All sound drives are installed on the machine but Opmanager would not play the sound. However when I tested Opmanager on Windows XP, the sound played just fine. Is this a bug or maybe there is a patch? Regards Andrea
