syslog report problem
Hi I have problem with the syslog report. It shows empty syslog viewer show me a fan error and capture event correctly. I also add other syslog rules to be sure that my event are going to be captured but nothing happen in the report. I upgrade to the latest version (8721) but nothing changed I use Ms Sql as database server did i do something wrong? thanks for your help
Traffic monitors might not be associated for the Interface
Hi, I have a problem when I add one Cisco device 2800. The SNMP credential it’s OK, but the Opmanager doesn’t collect traffic interface. When I try start Real Time traffic, the software shows the message: “Traffic monitors might not be associated for the Interface. Try to delete all the interfaces and rediscover them.” With others devices, I don't have this problem. Can you help me? Regards, Wellington Marinho

Hi There, I have a 10 interface licence for opmanager netflow plugin and would like to monitor x2 24 port switches and 1 cisco router. I only want to monitor certain interfaces and not all of them. How can i configure the opmanager netflow plugin to only monitor the certain interfaces on the switches and router so that i am within limits of my 10 interface licence? I am running Opmanger 8 build 8721, and Netflow plugin 8.5 build 8500 Thanks Marc
what does Excess Total committed memory needed violated mean
i just loaded my new sql server and i immediately get this error: Excess Total committed memory needed these are the numbers: Last Polled Value: 4168448 Threshold Alert: 131072 Rearm Value: 65536 what i am trying to figure out is if i have a problem with my sql server or if i need to readjust my threshold. again, this is a new server so i dont have historical data to work with. Networks Map
Hi We are unable to draw network maps from either our core HP 8212 switch or our office HP 5412. I am able to monitor interfaces on those switches, but when trying to draw a network map we only see the switch in our office, and if we select the core switch as our seed device we only see the switch, one of the 10Gb links to our Blades and the wireless controller that is in the chassis. Please see attached screen shots.
OpManager link lines in Business View
What needs to be enabled to have the Link Status changed from the UnManage gray line, to show the Traffic Load between devices? We have multiple firewalls linked via vpn, only one by default shows any load, all other lines are gray. SNMP has been enabled on some of the other firewalls, and nothing special has been enabled on the one that shows the traffic load. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
url monitor don't works over proxy (MS ISA 2006)
I try to monitor some external url with opmanager 7 over a MS ISA 2006 proxy. I configured the right proxy settings but the result is always "The URL http://www.microsoft.com is down, Reason : Host Unavailable". Internal urls are no probs. thx
Larger WMI query for MSSQL monitors
We upgraded OpManager from build 8024 to 8052 one week ago. After this Service Pack and Hotfix, we have had several of our MSSQL servers false report that SQL Agent and MSSQL services are down. After searching the event logs on these servers, we have found that the WMI service has crashed and recovered at about the same time that the false reports come through via email notification. Hello, We got problem with monitoring Disk utilization of Linux box. Linux box: [root@xxxxxxxx ~]# uname -srm Linux 2.6.18-164.15.1.el5 x86_64SNMP is running. Discovery - Devices in the specified range are not active
Hi All, I am using a fresh install of OpManager 8 on Linux (eval) to prove the OpManager concept. I can manually add in devices, which is great - however - auto discovery fails on any attempt to scan our /19 subnet either by range or CIDR. The error is:- "Devices in the specified range are not active" There are around 100 servers in the range specified with SNMP enabled. Any ideas why this isnt working?

Exchange Cluster Problems
We have been having some problems with our Exchange Clusters lately. Last week we were not able to get data from the Free Disk Space Performance Monitors (our TLogs disk ended up filling and we were not alerted!). Over the weekend we moved the cluster to the other node (2 node cluster) and can now get Free Disk Space data. However, now all MSExchange Monitors are not updating. Syslog events reports
I've got free version of OpManager (as I undestand) to use it in my home. Wanted to make it watching my home cisco router. All I want is getting syslog reports to know what's going on with my router and prevent hacker's attack. Minor Bug?
Hi everyone, I'm not even sure if I'd call this bug but I noticed something in op manager today. We were monitoring a Cisco PIX, and today it was replaced by a Cisco 881 router. The IP and SNMP information are still the same. I had Op Manager rediscover the device and everything looks ok except under "System Description". It still shows the PIX information in there and there's no way to clear it. It's not a big deal to me since the device type and everything is correct. The monitoring isn't affected

Hello, I'm evaluating opManager, and it looks great so far. On the Dashboard Widgets, is it possible to configure the thresholds for Utlization % ? For example, Volumes with most Disk Usage starts showing a color Red at 90% and above. I'd like that to be 95% and above. Thanks Jay

Deleting alarms automaticly
Hello, I am using OpManager 8 to monitor Windows event logs. Specific events are creating alarms correctly and running a script. I need the script to run each time the specific event log message is generated. This happens in a production environment up to twice a day. If the alarm is not deleted OpManager will not run the script again. Is there a way I can automatically delete alarms in OpManager? Thank you.

Question about usr access to views / graphs
Hi all! I did not find anything on this, and I know it's a shot in the dark, but i would like to know if it would be possible to grant access to views and sites and the rest just by IP ? the reason why is because our NOC is being equipped with TV sets that have Ethernet connection, so that would eliminate the need of a PC connected for authentication purposes. I still need to double-check the capabilities of the named TV boxes, but is such a thing remotely possible? TIA raymond

OPManager 7 Database Problem
After hard rebooting the Windows 2003 SP2 server, we received an error on OPManager 7. The error states "Oops looks like a few tables got corrupted. Don't worry.. Run RepairDB.bat from bin directory and restart the server." We ran repairDB.bat and restarted the server serveral times but the problem persists. Please help us. Errors in the "list view" page
Dear all, I have a problem in my OpManager Professional (Build 8721) which refers to my Servers Map. If I open the server map in the "Map" view, i can see all of my configured servers correctly listed and, by clicking on them, i can correctly get all of the details. The problem is that, if i switch to the List View, i see the same servers listed many times up to the number of servers configured. all the others are simply missing in the List View. I've already tried to run a RepairDB with no success...
Netlfow plugin issue
Using OpManager 8 (Build 8721) with Netflow plugin (8500). When I select the "Netflow Traffic Analyzer" modules link, it opens just fine. When I'm in OpManager and I select an interface to view and scroll down, I see the login screen (see photo 1). I try logging in and then i get an unrelated view to what i was expecting (photo 2). Hi , We are using OpManager build 8721. While pulling device availability report of last 30 days through OP.In case of 100% up time it shows 20 days 21 hours is total up time. Also , almost all monitor availability shows approx 25% is not monitored .Hoever there is no shuch activity where we had not monitored. Pls refer to attached report .
