Troubleshooting steps for SAP Server/SAP CCMS Monitor addition
SAP Monitor addition gets failed due to the following reasons.
- User Name / Password is given wrong
- Check the username and password in SAP Server Logon
- User account locked - Too many failed attempts : (Need to unlock the user from SAP Server)
- In SAP Server - Use Transaction code - SU01 and enter the username
- Click Lock/Unlock user icon
- User don't have sufficient privileges (Pre-requisites are done partially/ not done)
- Assign sufficient privileges. Refer here for the steps
- RFC port is blocked - Default Port : 3300
- Need to allow the port from SAP Server Installed Machine
- Port must be opened (inbound & outbound) in firewall to enable access
- To verify the RFC Port follow below steps
- Open SAP Management Console -> Expand the SAP Instance and select Access points -> Check the port of Protocol 'RFC'. Refer the attached screenshot (SAPMMC.png)
- SAP Server (Host/Port) is not reachable.
- Check if the SAP Server system is Up
- Logon Client/ System Number is given wrong
- Check the provided Logon Client and it belongs to the given SAP Server System
- SAP Jar is not placed in the correct location
- Check if all the jars are placed under working/lib and restart is done
- Check the version of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable package - Refer
