How to modify the report title and description before exporting from ADManager Plus

Objective 

This article explains how administrators can customize the file name and description when exporting reports from ADManager Plus. This is especially useful for organizing scheduled or recurring exports, improving report traceability during audits, and aligning exported file metadata with organizational naming conventions.

Steps to follow

You can customize the report title, description, and export preferences by following these steps:
  1. Log in to ADManager Plus.
  2. Navigate to the Reports tab.

  3. Select the report you want to export (e.g., All Users).

  4. Click the More option in the top-right corner of the report view.

  5. Choose Export settings from the drop-down.

  6. In the Export settings pop-up:

    • Enter a custom File Name.

    • Add or update the Description (e.g., Monthly export for audit review).

    • Expand Advanced to optionally include a logo or serial numbers, or to display hyphens for empty fields.

  1. Click Save.

Your exported report will now include the updated title, description, and chosen formatting settings.

Tips   

  • Export settings are saved per report, so review and update them as needed before each export.

  • Use custom descriptions to make reports easier to identify during audits or automated workflows.
