How can I generate a report of Group Policy settings using ADManager Plus?
Objective
This article explains how to generate a detailed report of all settings configured within a specific Group Policy Object (GPO) using ADManager Plus. These reports help you review configured policies, ensure they align with security standards, and simplify audits by providing a consolidated view of GPO settings applied across your Active Directory environment.
Prerequisites
Steps to follow
Log in to ADManager Plus with admin rights or delegated access to GPO reports.
Navigate to Reports > GPO Reports > GPO Settings Reports > GPO Settings.
Select the domain that contains the GPO you want to audit.
Choose the specific GPO whose settings you want to review.
Click Generate to create the report.
The report will display all settings configured in the selected GPO, including:
Administrative Templates
Security Settings (Account Policies, Local Policies, Event Log, Restricted Groups, System Services, Registry, File System)
GPO Preferences (Environment, Files, Folders, INI Files)
Use the icons in the top-right corner of the report to toggle between hierarchical and table views for better readability.
Tips
Schedule GPO reports periodically to keep track of configuration changes.
Maintain a record of GPO settings and update logs for compliance audits.
Verify that all domain controllers are properly configured in ADManager Plus to ensure accurate data retrieval.
