DDI Central Endpoint integration

DDI Central Endpoint integration

ManageEngine DDI Central's integration with Endpoint Central enables organizations to seamlessly access all the details of the devices and visualize them effectively. This helps network administrators manage and monitor the device's health and performance and troubleshoot issues.

DDI Central provides clear visibility on three main details fetched from Endpoint Central:

Device details

This section provides all the information regarding devices in the network. This includes:

  • Device name: Name of the device in the network.
  • OS platform: Type of the OS in the device like Windows, Linux, Mac, etc.
  • OS version: Version of the OS installed in the device.
  • Device manufacturer: Manufacturer of the device connected.
  • Device model: Model of the device connected.
  • Device type: Type of the device connected like laptops, desktops, and servers.
  • IP address: IP address leased by the device.
  • MAC address: MAC address of the device connected.
  • Memory: Total memory of the device.
  • Disk: Total disk memory of the device.
  • Last boot time: The last time the device file booted.

Alongside, admins gain quick real-time visual snapshots of the total disk memory usage.

Patch details

This section displays the overall patches and updates completed and not completed in the devices, including:

  • BIOS
  • OS/application
  • Driver
  • Third-party

DDI central also provides a visual breakdown on the missing patches' severity and no of updates installed and missing for easy monitoring and troubleshooting.

Vulnerabiity details

This section shows the vulnerability of all the devices connected to the network in a multi-series stacked and charts view that includes:

Vulnerability based on severity: The vulnerability of a device gets divided into four levels ranging from critical to low:

  • Critical: This range shows that the vulnerability is exploited by many attacks and can result in compromising the security of servers, remote code execution, information disclosure, etc., This leads to damage to the organization's confidential data, thus need to be prioritized first.
  • Important: This range shows that the vulnerability is difficult to be exploited, but when it occurs, it could lead to data loss, downtime, and trust. So, network admins should remediate these vulnerabilities after removing critical vulnerabilities from the servers and devices.
  • Moderate: This range's vulnerabilities require social engineering or access to the local network that is going to be exploited. These vulnerabilities have limited access and can cause Denial-of-Service when exploited.
  • Low: The vulnerabilities in this range will have less or no impact on the organization's network when they are exploited, and they require access to the local or physical system that is going to be exploited.

Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) version 2 and 3: CVSS scores for vulnerabilities range from 0 to 10, with higher values indicating greater severity. Critical vulnerabilities, those with a CVSS score above 9, demand immediate attention, while low-severity vulnerabilities, scoring below 4, typically do not require urgent remediation.

The Vulnerabilities list provides fields for vulnerability name, severity, and CVSS2 and CVSS3 score. This helps admins resolve the vulnerability of the devices and protect them from external attacks.

How DDI Central benefits you with these information?

DDI Central's visual snapshot on the devices, patches, and vulnerability details helps organization simplify monitoring and troubleshooting of network and devices. Network admins can identify and handle devices with missing patches and high vulnerability for immediate resolving of network issues.
