When you create a Cloud Observability cluster in DDI Central, you must define a Provider Profile to proceed further. This step is essential as it is the Provider profile that serves as the gateway for establishing the integration with supported cloud platforms such as AWS, Cloudflare, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
Follow the steps below to create a provider profile for your cloud observability cluster:
You will see the Provider Profile screen with a dropdown to select the cloud provider of your choice.
Based on the selected provider, the input fields will dynamically adjust:
Depending on the Service type chosen while creating the cluster:
Currently, DDI Central’s DHCP and IPAM cloud observability is exclusive to AWS cloud infrastructure. However, for providers like Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Cloudflare—including AWS Route 53—DDI Central supports DNS record management and new domain creation with full-fledged bidirectional synchronization.
By creating a Provider Profile, network admins gain single-point observability into their multi-cloud infrastructure, allowing them to track, audit, and manage DNS records across Cloudflare, Azure, and Google Cloud, and AWS Route53. Visualize and monitor IP resources, and correlate cloud resources across AWS—all without leaving DDI Central.
You can create as many Cloud Observability clusters as needed in DDI Central. However, each cluster supports integration with only one cloud account per provider using a single set of authentication credentials.
For example, if you manage multiple AWS accounts, each account must be integrated into its own Cloud Observability cluster with its respective credentials.
