How to monitor the Networktraffic / dataload?
Howdy, One small question .. I haven't searched it in the FAQ cause I think it is a old request but with new Hardware ... but let me explain what I mean. We got IBM BladeWorkstation .. and I want to check the Network connection between the Blades and the Thin Client. .. The Balde is not the Problem cause it is more less a normal PC (XP32 and 64 bit), the ThinClient is more tricky to finger out, cause no OS on it :-(. My problem is that I dont know what is the easiest way to search for this data load
Additional departments appearing
My departments list appears to be gaining a few hundred "Manchester" entries. Deleting these is a little tedious so I need to find out where they're coming from, and what action I need to take to prevent them from appearing. Also, why multiple entries for identical spellings?

Windows NT4 WMI - CPU Monitor
We are monitoring 2 NT4 boxes using WMI. I am getting data for Memory Utilization and Disk Utilization, Service Details etc. We are not getting any data for CPU usage. States "No data available to generate graph" How do I enable CPU monitoring? Thanks, Andy.

mysql database in another computer
Hi I tried install Firewall Analyser, it works fine but I would like to change mysql server to my dedicated mysql server in another computer. Interface error alarms (switches & Routers after upgrade
Hi, Ever since our upgrade to Version 7 of OpManager (patched to 7023), we have noticed that we are getting a large number of "Error Rate" alarms on a large number (over 100) of our switch and router interfaces. Previous to the upgrade we never saw any alarms on interface errors and were under the assumption that all was right in the world of OZ. Performance Monitor - Cannot add Free Disk Space (WMI)
Version 7023. I'm switching from using SNMP to WMI, and have sucessfully changed free disk space performance monitors on other servers, but i have one that just doesn't list the Disk space monitors after i try to add them. I can add CPU Utilization using WMI and it works, just not Disk. Improving Performance
I am attempting to evaluate moving from an Open Source network monitoring solution to OPManager, but have run into a real perfomance bottleneck. Current setup: VMWare ESX Virtual Machine (2 Gb RAM, 2 Processors) for the OPManager station. MSSQL backend database Gigabit Ethernet Connection I have approximately 45 switches (mix of Cisco and DLink) entered and discovered, but the discovery process (or just about any process) is taking a very long time. Are there any tuning parameters that I can set
OpManager 7.0 on 64 bits Debian
After several hours fight on 64 bits Debian ... so now it's working There are several problem I have now, so I'd like to ask if anyone has same and have solution for them: 1) In Discovery I can't use CIDR cause it tell me that discovery failed.... So I can use only start to and by IPs 2) on my servers it recognize 10Mbs on 1Gbs network card ... but on the graph it's true ( example 45Mb/s = 450% !!!! funny a 3) On Cisco switch It's discovery some interfaces as 1G some as 100Mb/s , so I agree that

Hi to all, I installed OpManager 7.0 Pro for testing on Debian Lenny ( 64 bit ) so it was very difficult with 32 bit support but I did it ... Traffic seems not to be correct monitored
Hello, we are testing Firewall Analyzer since a few days. We have about 6 Firewalls in monitoring at the moment. What we see is, that some firewalls show extrem traffic. F.ex. our PIX should have received 8GB of data within 10 minutes. We talked to our provider and he told us that we have less then 1GB the whole day. We see that behaviour on many Pixes. How to disable browser auto-launch?
Hi, I would like to disable the browser auto-launch when the server starts up. This is possible in SD+ by commenting out a section in TrayIconInfo.xml, but since you've implemented a very different code base in OpManager, no such option seems to exist. Is there another way of doing this? And can I also disable the browser splash screen (which, again, can be done by editing TrayIconInfo.xml in SD+)...? ISA Proxy Log Import
Hi, I am just trialing your software with a view to purchasing it, but just have one question. I understand that I can import the isa logs every xx minutes, which I have been able to do via ftp, but our proxy logs at the end of each day roll over to a new file. Is there a way of getting the files to import when the next days ISA logs are created. How to edit user details
When you click Admin � Users Under the User Configuration block there is a list of names with a choice to Edit or delete. If you click the edit tab the only thing you can edit is the password. I want to be able to edit details. The Quick Start Guide gives the impression I can edit Contact details and access details. I have full admin permissions. Hi, I have a Cisco 2811 router, i already have enabled the syslog to my ManageEngineFirewall server. I already have 4 Cisco PIx that are being logged in that same ManageEngine server and I can see all the graphs, statistis, logs, but nothing shows up for the 2811, and it doesn't even recognize it as an unknown device. Guy's, Has anyone had any success getting a Nokia IP1220 to work in opmanager. I can not get the CPU utilization and Memory Utilization to work properly. I have attached a new mib that I found but it gives an error message. Error parsing MIB:NOKIA-IPSO-SYSTEM-MIB.txt Exception while loading MIB:Could not parse the file C:/PROGRA~1/ADVENT~1/ME/OPMANA~1/./mibs/NOKIA-IPSO-SYSTEM-MIB.txt The error occured at the line no: 976 ,column: 9. Problem with SNMP OID syntax
I'm having problems with the SNMP OID syntax. When I do a get from this object: .1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.2.1.1.2 I get a 4 digit number (temperature), like 2734. This means, it's 27,34 degrees celsius. So, I've changed the syntax into: (.1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.2.1.1.2/100) But, then I get the error: The Monitor did not respond to the test request What am I doing wrong? Why can't I edit/delete the custom monitors via the webinterface? Regards, Leon
Erroneous Link Performance Counters
We are having some issue with the way utilization levels and error rates are calculated/reported. We frequently get alerts for high utilization on 1 Mb links between facilities, but when we check, the actual level is much lower. The attached PDF shows OpManager reporting utilization over 1 Gb in one direction and over 8 Gb in the other even though the interface is only capable of 1 Gb. Have you seen problems like this and is there a way to correct? Thanks.
Creation of all servers availability report through Crystal
Hi, In order to produce a percentage uptime for our server estate I need to perform some calculations on the data produced by the All servers availability report. I therefore want to create the same report in Crystal reports. I have a connection to the database through Crystal but I am having difficulty finding the fields I require and tables.
