ServiceDesk 7022 - French characters not recognized
Good day, We have just updated from version 7019 to 7022 this morning. Since then, all french characters coming from user requests are not recognized and therefore shows as a black question mark. Anything new in this version that needs to be adjusted? Thanks, skid

hello. got a problem. scan workstation by computer name "name1" and that's ok, i see IP address 10.10.1.1 (for example). then try to scan other workstation by name "name2" and its write that all correct, i see IP address 10.10.2.4 but when i look at list workstations, i see that "name1" disappear. then i try scan name "name1" and all correct, but "name2" disappear. then i try ("name1" is in list) enter new workstation with name "name2", scan and get error, that workstation already exists. what's

Maintanence Windows
We have maintenance windows setup for various task that we run because during these periods we do not want to receive alerts on specific machines. What we have noticed though is that once the window elapses, alerts are not generated if the issue stills exists. Is this a common functionality or something that can be fixed?
Migration
We recently purchased a license for OpManager and now need to move it from our Dev environment into our Production environment. This includes putting the app/web server onto a nice new VM and moving the DB to the SQL Cluster. We have already migrated the DB from MySQL to MSSQL. We also have a new VM waiting for the app/web server install. What is the best way to go about moving the DB to the cluster and re-establishing connection to the freshly installed app/web server? I can't obtain linux disk usage
I was unable to authenticate into all linux servers using ssh - I have already checked the ssh_config following the help - I'm using root as user and from the pc where the "Applications Manager" runs I'm able to establish the connection to the linux server using putty application in ssh - I also checked the log on the destination folder that confirm an authentication problem. importing several logfiles but only some are parsed
Hi, I import Checkpoint Logfiles (gziped) thru FTP and it worked fine, but if I import several (30 for instance) logfiles, It seems to parsed only around 15, even when in the "import log --> View Imported Log Files" says 'Import of log file completed' for every log file. The server is fine (hard drive, RAM, etc.). So, if I go to traffic report, I only see traffic the first 15 (or so) days. Regards, Sacha Yunusic.

mistake in changing mysql password
when i was following procedure for changing mysql password i made a mistake in following command: update user set password=password ('New Password') where user = 'root'; i issues following command instead : update user set password='New Password' where user = 'root'; now the application is not working and when i try to connect to mysql i get following error: ERROR 1130 (HY000): Host 'localhost' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server please help
Installing version 7.5
When trying to install the new version of SD I select the file in the update manager and then click install. Following the warning message regarding backing up (which I have dnoe) it says that there has been a violation of the key and the installation cancels. It now won't open at all. An urgent response would be appreciated.

Some pages through web console are blank?
Hi I have build 8400, and am generally happy. However, some pages will not display anything. I am using IE 7, and whenever I select the reports tab, or if I click on the button to view last 30 days availability, the window is just blank. Similarly the application report page is blank, SLA Management page is blank. Most other pages are fine. What do you think could be causing this ? Many thanks Neil

Can we apply request assignment restriction? i.e. Network technician can only assign to his colleague and network manager and network manager can assign to help desk manager. WMI Logon Scripts
In the readme for the 7500 update for service desk plus they talked about having the workstations push their info to the server instead of having the server scan the network for machines. Since we have about 1400 tablet computers on campus coming on and off campus all the time its very hard to scan for these machines and get accurate results. This seemed like a good deal to me because of that but i wasnt sure how to do it. If you guys have any info on this it would be greatly appreciated thanks.

7.5 Recommendation - Recurring holidays
Something missing from the "recurring holidays" feature is a holiday that happens on a particular weekday, thanksgiving for example. An option that would allow for "repeat on the fourth thursday of November" would make this much more useful.
OpManager Command Line Support
Is there any command line support for things like reports, device adds or deletes, or performance metrics from devices? The reporting is email only. There is no ability to save the report in a network location. Device adds or deletes through command-line would be nice to be able to script. Also, command line support for analyzing performance metrics numbers outside of using graphs would be great.

Scanning error
My company is currently demo-ing this product, and have liked it so far. However, I'm having problems getting the asset scanning to work. I have confirmed and re-confirmed (and re-confirmed a dozen times) that Remote DCOM is enabled on the client, and set the permissions in dcomcnfg appropriatly, and WMI is installed and enabled. Hi All ! My configuration : SDP 7.0.0 build 7020 We have a small problem: We have a category that is not still used so we want delete it. We try to restore an old database but I think this problem is very old... Actually we are in production envrionnement so we can't to huge test. Summary Matrix Report Query Change
I've created a summary Matrix report using the new custom report option, this works . But when I try to change the underlying query for this I lose the summary and end up with a report showing the underlying items.
