Code to delete all requesters at once
Anyone know the code to delete all the requesters in the db? I imported 91k istead of 1.9k. It would take me quite a while to delete them page by page. I am hoping to do this via an update statement from within SDP query. Thanks.
Remote Control
When trying to Remote Control a workstation, SDP starts trying to install the "agent controller", but always ends up with the error : FAILURE :Problem while connecting Workstation. Please report the problem to the system administrator, with the Error Code - 1,244,175,658,359. Any ideas ?
Adding Entprise Software
When I go to Assests, add new software and select Enterprise, it does not allow me to put how many licenses I have purchased. If I purchase 20 office licenses, I should be able to put that in there, so that when I scan, it tells me that I have the right amount purchased and installed. I am pretty new, so maybe I am doing something wrong. Anyone help on this?
7.5 server asset bug?
Hi I'm evaluating 7.5. I love the new IT asset type "server", but there seems to be a problem with this. After a scan, the product name is correctly identified but if I choose to edit a server IT asset, there is an additional mandatory field called model (besides product). Asset Home > Edit Server I have not found any configuration parameter to specify product models. If I click the model pull down menu it display's workstation products. (laptop, desktop) There is also a "Add new" link which again
Resolving Multiple MAC Address from one single port
I've this problem, I'm trying to view all end divices conected to my switch but in one single port it gave me the MORE button option, when pressed it shows multiple mac addresses whitin particular IP addresses assigned to. I'd like that information being obtain in every switch port that PC's are connected instead of show me that information without the switchport assigned to.
remote connect fails for 1 device
I can't use remote connect for one of my network computers, I got the message (Connecton failed for "10.10.10.10 - PC-NAME" combination). but patch and inventory scaning works fine!! I tried to remove PC and uninstall/reinstall agent but no luck.. Regards, Omar
Lost data after server reboot
This weekend we rebooted our Servicedesk server. After the reboot I could not logon anymore. My collegue was able to login as technician but it seems we lost data of almost half a year! How is this possible? We are running the following: - Windows Server 2003 std - Servicedesk 7.5.0 Build 7500 - MYSQL database Any support is welcome, please help! Add Apache Monitor - Thinks its IIS
Adding and apache monitor, whe I click on the "Add Monitor Button" it says "IIS server is discovered and added for monitoring " The URL is correct.. when I try port 80,81 and 443 it says the same thing... Any idea?

How about some "real" user forums
So exactly how much of a "users forum" are actually about users when topics and postings are all filtered by the company? One of the primary benefits of open and collaborative environments is access to near real-time support and community driven collaboration. This benefit is simply lost when a user can post an urgent issue on a forum, and 3 days later it still doesn't appear on the forums. Very disappointing.

Alert/Action list
Is there a way to get a report/list of what actions coincide with specific alerts for all servers? I know you can look at them 1 by 1 in the Configure Alerts tab, but, besides that you have to click on every server (and we have a lot!), it doesn't include availability alert actions. We have a distributed setup & I need to move some monitors to another server, but don't want to accidently lose any notifications that are set up.
Transfer resource
I'm having problems with a resource I created, but should be owned by another user. I've tried transferring it to the other user by using both my own 'password administrator' account, and the 'admin' account, but in both cases I get the message that 'Owner alone can transfer these resources...'. If I check the resource report, I can clearly see that my own 'password administrator' account is the owner.... How can I transfer this resource to another user? Thanks, Dennis
AIX SNMP Monitoring
I try to monitor an AIX 5 with SNMP, I have uploaded the mib for AIX, and I can test it with the MIB browser. Here is for exemple the monitor for CPU Utilization with the MIB browser: SNMP V1/V2 Object OID : .1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.191.1.2.1 Community : public result of GET : aixSeCPUUtilization.0:-->3 Then I have Added SNMP monitor to my AIX template, but I cannot make it working. Problem with imported files
Hi, I'm having a problem. Some days ago I tried to "Load & Search" two files to view some historic logs files. The task started normally with the Status in “Loading” and the action “In progress”. Suddenly the server went down and when I restarted it, this task was “In progress” yet. The main problem was that this task never finished and I can’t to import these files again. Regards, Marcelo
URGENT : Distribution avalaibility issues
Hello, I migrated to OPManager 8 latest build 8006 After few days, distrubution avalability stopped to work, I can display last 24 hours, today and yesterday but others are not working e.g. last 7 days shows some data but not the 2 last days. I set dashbord for management, so it is urgent to see how to fix it. I sent a support request with my phone number. Thanks for your help philippe
No due by date since 7504 upgrade
Since I upgraded to 7504 any newly created requests get no due by date assigned. Ho do I fix this.
status of mails handled and reports
Hi, Is it possible for me to view the mails handled regularly. Does these mail get stored in some folder, which we are not aware of. Besides this, please explain how to view the reports for tickets closed i.e. time taken in responding to each query, quality of response, etc. Hari
Addition fields in the "Member of" of user creation
Hi, I am having difficulties in the user templates side. I created a new user template with only "AGuser" in the "Member of" field. When I now create a new user using the template mention above, in the "Member Of" field there is the "AGuser" and for a reason in which I do not undertand the "Domain user" is there too. The "Domain user" is not in the template so why is it automatically put in? Thanks for your help in advance, Rosanna

ad import of requestors failed
i tried to import some requestors from AD; however, a number of users failed to import. Is there a way to tell why some of they users failed to import while others worked successfully?

Some assets being detected as workstation
I’m currently evaluating ServiceDesk and have stumbled across a problem with the asset scanning. The problem is that once the scan has completed, there are a number of printers, routers and access points that have allocated to the Workstation group under IT Assets. Is there any way I can move these assets into the correct group? Thanks in advance.

Firewalls Infrastructure Views
Hi All, Is there a way to change the Map of the Firewalls Infrastructure Views? I'd like it to just have device icons rather than listing interface details for each FW. simlar to how routers and switches are displayed. I'm running OpManager 8007. Thanks, Andy
Impact Details not available in reports
I'm suprised that I don't find Impact Details available in the normal list of available columns in a Tabular Report. I'm sure I could get it out of a query report, but I loose some capabilities, such as graphing, in a query report. I'm running build 7504 - this isn't fixed in a later build, is it?
Critical Issues identified in 7507
Dear Users, We have following issues reported in 7507 hotfix release. 1. NullPointer Exception upon clicking the Request approval link and unable to approve the request. 2. Upon editing and changing a request template, all the field values gets populated based on the modified templates. Actually it has to populate for the empty fields and not for all the request fields. 3. Add / Edit the contract, upon clicking the "select resources for this contract" , it throws NullPointer Exception for MSSQL
Asset state change from In store to In Use
Bringing this issue up again; Still having issues where we cannot change the asset state from In store to In use. I beleive this probelm has been ongoing since the release of 7.5 and no fix has been issued yet. Will this be fixed in the 7505 patch?
Failed Logins
I want to be notified of any failed login attempts that exceed 3. In other words, if a user incorrectly types in their password three time or more, I want to be notfied. I do not want to be notified of any attempts less than 3. I installed EventLog analyzer 5. Thanks.
Ongoing problems with entries NOT removed from DB
`Running OM 8007 on CentOS 5x and still have problems after trying to remove a device, and then not being able to re-add it since the software "believes" the interface already exists. These ongoing database corruption issues by many users clearly indicates an improperly designed DB. I have tried the script, RemoveDB this DOES not work. Tried to remove manually with the mysql approach listed elsewhere in these forums (mysql -u root -P 13306 OpManagerDB), but none of the suggstions work since the db

Add Request Button doing nothing
Hi, Since we updated to 7507 some service desk users have reported being able to login, fill out a request template, but when hitting the button to submit nothing happens. Is this a known issue to be resolved in 7508? Regards, Mark
Requester Details Form Bugs
When I open request template, firstly my name isn't put into the requester details "Name" box in IE or Firefox. I am a technician and admin but my name should still appear here. Then when I click on name field, and click away again (without entering any details), the following things happen. In Internet Explorer Technician changes to Select Technician Group changes to Select Group Site changes to "" (Not a valid option) In Firefox The same happens except Site doesn't change to "" I notice the service
Allow Remarks or Notes fields in Purchases to be searchable
It would be great to have the Remarks and/or Notes fields searchable within Purchases
Is it possible to localize Date?
We are using SupportCenter Plus Multilingual version. All ( almost all really) user interface is localized, but all Dates and Calendar control are still in English. Is it possible to localize it or switch to numeric format ( like 05.06.2009). Best regards, Vsevolod seva@csoftcom.com
IP SLA monitors using Trial?
I am trying to setup some IP SLA monitors on a trial version and everytime I add one it does not show up under the device. When I go to all monitors it shows there are none configured but if I add another one it shows their status on the history page. Also since the monitor is not showing on the device how do I delete the ones I have created?
