ae_scan.vbs Script Problem - Not updating to the server
Hi, I am running SDP MSP 7.6 and have the ae_scan.vbs script setup in GPO to run when any user logs onto the domain. The problem is if the user doesn't have admin rights (the majority of our users and we're not about to give them admin rights) logs on, they recieve a windows script host error saying they do not have the privledges to run the script and need admin priviledges, and for the few users who are admins, when we login, we don't recieve an error but the script is not updating SDP MSP with

Dear All We have a Machine that's our Domain controller but we can only access to Windows Event Log data on that machine (access is restricted and only allowed to our Infrastructure Services). We are thinking that permition was the permition needed by Eventlog to collect data but we see now that's insuficient What kind of permition is needed to let EventLog Analyser tool to collect data from that machine? VPN reports from Juniper SRX device
Hello Sirs, We are using Firewall Analyzer 7 (build7000) to gather reports from Cisco ASA firewalls. I added another device which is Juniper SRX210 firewall. I easily got it up and reporting to Analyzer server. All the traffic is being reported perfectly. Couple of users are also connecting to it using VPN (dyn-vpn by Junipers terms) I’m having a question about VPN Report section, however. When I see reports from CiscoASA, „VPN reports” section shows the active VPN users. On SRX – nothing is showing
Cannot send mail to external recipients using Exchange 2010
No problems when using Outlook or other e-mail clients, but when using SupportCenter get the error: "Sending notification failed". Templates are nice but Macros are better
It would be a VERY useful feature for us if you can include the ability to 'record' macros for the purpose of creating, populating and closing incident or service requests with 1 selection. Here's an example: A user sends us a request to load, run, and notify him/her when a batch job has been completed. disk space increasing on local drive (even though MS SQL is used)
I have set EventLog Analyzer to use MS SQL, so I would assume the disk space should not increase on the machine where EventLog Analyzer is running. But there are two folders with significant disk size. One is c:\ManageEngine\EventLog\Archive and the other one is c:\ManageEngine\Eventlog\server\default\indexes\hot. What are those two locations for? Why does data get written to those folders (I am talking 5-10 GB a day, which adds up significantly over time). Shouldn't the database be the only one

User Survey Problem
Dear Sir, Is there any way that I can check whether the users have feedbacked the survey of incidents? We want to do the analysis and we need to know which request already had its survey feedbacked and which one didn't, so we can followup with user for further assistance. Hi, We have some custom views we use on the requests page. We want only some technicians to see these views, we could make them private for each technician but this is obviously a long process. Is there any way to make a custom view and push it to some technicians but not all. We could filter the technicians individually or by their site association.
Where to view tasks assigned to Group but not to Technician?
I think my concern may be covered by the known issue at the end of my email but I believe I'd prefer a different solution, if possible. Tasks in request view
If I have a request that I assign tasks to say 2 people is there any way to tell if those tasks are complete or not from the request view? We currently use Track-it and are testing SDP as a possible replacement. In Track-it they are called assignments, but we we can look at all open work orders (requests) and see assignments (tasks) in the same view so we know the status of them as well. From what I see in SDP, I would have to 1. Go to the home tab 2. Under my tasks, click show all 3. change the
VM Host monitoring
I have an issue with monitoring VMWare Hosts. VMWare typically requires that all SNMP monitoring run through Virtual Control Center. If monitored on the host themselves there is overhead. (I do not want to add anymore overhead, especially monitoring). Is there a way to monitor VM hosts via the VCC? I have tried with the current MIBs and it fails every time?
Cant start application from command prompt
Hi, Im using the Desktop Central Free Windows Toll. Im aware that we cannot start new task from the remote task manager, therefore I'm trying to start application from command prompt. However, when I do that, the application (e.g. notepad.exe) only started in "Processes" and not "Application" under task manager. May I know is this the restriction of the software? or is there anyway I can achieve that. Thank you.

Configuring multiple hosts behind NAT
Hi There, I'm trying to configure multiple hosts behind a single NAT'ed public IP to report into an external collector. I am however only seeing one of the three devices reporting in. I'm picking that NetFlow Analyzer may be detecting the same interface name, or something to that effect, as the three devices are behing a single NAT'ed public IP. How is the configuration of devices behind a NAT'ed IP recommended for NetFlow? Any help would be appreciated Cheers Frazer
Unable to Access Interface Templates
When trying to access the Interface Templates, I receive "Sorry, an error occurred. OpManager was unable to retrieve data from the database. Please try again." error. Can't get SSL/CA working with SDP
Hi, My company has recently got some proper CA certs. I've gone through the process detailed in the FAQ several times, following the directions to the letter, and just can't seem get things working. I created the keystore file and sent a CSR to my cert authority (StartCom). Note that StartCom requires minimum 2048 lenth SHA1 encrypted CSR's, so I simply added "-sigalg DSA -length 2048". New AD User with "User must change password at next logon"
I am currently testing out the Demo of ADSelfService PLus for use in our facility. I ran into an issue with adding a new user and setting the user to require a password change at next login. When I run the Selfservice application and try to connect as the new user in order to set the new password it tells me the username/password is incorrect.
