IPAM Add-In
Hi All, I have just installed the IPAM Add-In on my OpManager 9200 install. It has done a great scan of a subnet with my servers on it and resolved the MAC Addresses and confirmed the reverse DNS matches up. But what I cannot figure out is how to find out the connected switch and port. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

Custom Report with Hardware and Computer subcategory information.
I am looking to create a custom report in Desktop Central that includes both computer and hardware information, I noticed when selecting one subcategory or the other my options are limited. Example, I am attempting to create a report of current laptop and desktop computers, computer model, memory, Description (in this case the User assigned), as well as the monitors attached to the computers, monitor type, size, etc. How do I create queries above and beyond custom reports which will include all
SMS messages looping
Hi, SMS test actions works fine, however, the sms goes in a loop and keeps on sending the same sms test message over and over. It stops when the Nokia phone is disconnected. I use Opmanager 9 SP1 on XP working in a VMWare virtual environment. Thanks for any response Marc

I am new to Managed Service Engine Plus (MSP) and I am currently configuring 8.1. Can you explain what purpose of the e-mail address is on the MSP Organization Details page under the email categorization section? My company did configure a previous version (7.6) and we were able to set the e-mail address to the same email address defined on the MSP Details - Mail Server Settings –Incoming page. I've got two separate instances of Password Manager Pro and two licenses. At least, I think that the two blocks of text are the licenses. I have two questions: 1) How can I determine which one is which? 2) do they need to be saved to files with specific names in order to be uploaded to the application? Thanks. p.s. Asset report
I need an asset report that will tell me if an asset was updated for the previous day, week, and month. I would like for it to have the technician, the asset name, the asset type, the date modified, the previous state and the current state. Also, I would like for it to be grouped by technician. Does anyone know if there is a way to accurately track consumables from when they are purchased to when they are deployed to a printer/faxmachine etc.... the reason I am asking is I created a group to categorize toner/ink when we purchase it but I am finding it difficult to assign it to a dept. when I mark it as "In Use" it wants to be assigned to a user or deplartment or asset but it will be assigned to that person or asset idefinetelly. HI I Would like to know how OpManager measure availability with ping. What is the frequency of the pings, it size and other details oF the ping that measure the availability. What happened if the network is slow but available and the ping is missed? OpManager will measure that time as NONAVAILABLE?. What is the OpManager's Default time to to discard a ping. Incorrect number of scans
Please see attached screen shot. There are only 7 machines in this custom group, so how can 26 machines have been scanned successfully? Also, there is a misspelling in this drop-down menu (see attached screen shot 2)

The Stacked Port Detail report only displays one MAC address per stacked port. How can I get the report to list all of the MAC Addresses for each port?
Unable to create a folder monitor in OpManager "folder not found"
I am unable to create a folder monitor in the latest version of OpManager 9101. When creating any monitor and clicking on "test" I get the error "folder not found" See the screenshot of the simple example below which is checking for the c:\windows folder. Removing Attachments from Contract record
I'm updating a contract with a new pdf of the actual contract. There is a pdf of the old contract in the Attachments list. When I click that filename to download it, I get an error "The file was not found." I want to delete that file name from the Attachment list. I Edit the contract, click the red X next to the file name and it disappears. However, when I Save the contract, the filename reappears again. It's as if the filename can't be deleted because the file it points do doesn't exist in
Attachments in notification e-mails.
Hi Is it possible to get the attachments included in a ticket attached to the notification e-mails? We have some external support partners and when a ticket is assigned to them the notification e-mail gets sent to their support system and generate a ticket. Now they need to log in to our system to get the attachments and it would save a lot of time if it could be included in the notification e-mail. Br /Thomas
How to handle technicians leaving?
Curious on best way to handle a technician leaving. I don't want to lose her history, but I want to free up the license that she was using. I don't necessarily want all of her old items to be moved over to her replacement either. Any thoughts?
Application has not been installed properly (Gina, GPO Installation)
I have a GPO setup to install the GINA client. However after installation I receive an error station that "Application has not bee installed properly". Then a loading screen appears. The same experience is had both pre and post login to the OS.
new DATABASE format
Dear Zoho, OpManager user/customer for a long time, I noticed that you changed the type of embedded database within opmanager. For a long time (since v6700 I think) we are using OpManager with MySQL DB embedded. DO WE HAVE to change/upgrade our installation to the other DB embedded version ? What is the best practice for managing laptops of Road Warriors, or those people that are occasionally in the LAN, but more frequently are traveling to various client sites and connected only via internet. We have a server that is setup in the DMZ, but should I only install a remote agent, or does DC attempt to connect internally first, and then if that fails, connect to the public facing server? New user in AD group automatically run installation of printer or something else
I have a task to do but i really dont know how to make it with DC8. I had to install printers in one BU on all Computers that are in that BU exmp XY. I install DC agent on all computers that are in AD in OU_XY After that i create Custom group Printer_XY and i put all computers from AD in OU_XY in that custom group. Last step was to create Configuration that install that printer from print server on Custum group and that work just perfect. Now i how changes and my question is how one computer
AppManager - URL Access
I have installed AppManager onto a Windows 2008 server, and can open the web console directly from the server. However I am unable to open the web console, directly from my desktop via my URL: http://pd-vm-ssi:9090 Error message: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" Are there any settings to enable remote access? Uninstall failure Password Manager Pro
I am attempting to uninstall PMP from a server and then reinstall. This is to document the installation process as a qualified installation. The uninstall script runs and states complete. BUT, when I attempt to reinstall. I get the Uninstall query from running the ManageEngine_PMP.exe. I have removed the original folders. but still no joy. I am assuming there is a registry key artifact. What is the key to remove. Would it help to download build 6800 and attempt there? I am using 6700. Oct 2012 build.
Saved Configurations
The Automate Patch Deployment feature works nicely, but is there also a way to create a configuration within Desktop Central that can be saved and re-used on-demand? In other words, can I create and save a configuration for a custom group of computers that includes a new scan, download and deploy, then I could just manually re-run that configuration whenever I wanted? The attached screenshot shows that a new scan and download can be included in a configuration, but all I see is "No Patches Added."
