authentication key
hello I'm trying the free professional version of servicedesk plus but I'm not able to get the authentication key to provide it for desktop central, what can i do to have
Technicians receive "User does not have sufficient privilege" when trying to login.
In ServiceDesk Plus, I created a new Technicians beside of Administrator, in order to issue less rights to the Technicians to minimums errors while testing. But Technicians receive "User does not have sufficient privilege" when trying to login. After close the windows, everything seem to be normal. Wonder what I had did wrong. Best Regards, David Fhu

I would like to remove the "Support" tab, the "Jump to", and "Help" from a standard users session. I can't see as an option when creating a role. Is there a template I can edit?
Service catalog resource questions
I have 2 questions regarding Service Catalog resource questions : 1) Is there any way to delete questions from the pool of existing questions? There are some old questions which were created during a workflow testing period, and they're no longer needed 2) Is there any way of adding a question as a multi line plain text area (HTML text area form element) instead of a single line "plain text" input (HTML input form element)?
SMTP Issue (Office 365)
We're having issues trying to get SMTP working via SCP with Office365 (Sending Notification Failed) Incoming mail (fetching) is working fine & we're able to telnet successfully to the SMTP server. Keen to know if anyone else has this setup? Screenshot of settings attached. Tried tweaking the SMTP / SMTPS & TLS options without success.
Handling Exceptions When Creating User Accounts
Is there a way to create custom naming formats that will handle exceptions like a username that already exists. I would like to create a rule to use a different naming format in these situations.
Backup files don't get deleted
Hi everyone, is there an issue with the deletion of old backup files? We have configured SDP MSP Standard 8.3 to retain backups for 7 days and write backups to a custom path. The backup files are written correctly but it seems as if they don't get deleted. Thanks Helge

When a requester views their requests, they can see certain details of the request. For example, they can see the "Due By Date", "Created Date", "Last Update Time" etc. Is there any way to show the "Response DueBy Time" as well?
Automated Reporting Customization
Hey there, So far, I have enjoyed using ADAudit Plus, however the canned reports are rather limiting. For example, the Recently Modified Users report is displaying a lot of msExchMailboxAuditLastAdminAccess logs. Although this information is helpful to log, I would not want this included in my report nor any false positives, I would prefer to only have any anomalies sent to my e-mail. How are your clients leveraging the reporting? In my case, what options are available for me to customize these reports

We have purchased the licensed version of AD Audit Plus and I am trying to report on 'frequently locked out' users, 'recently unlocked users'. Desktop Central Migration
We have recently migrated our centralised Desktop Central Server to another server and this is now configured and working. However we are looking at transferring our 6000+ clients to this as well, they all use individual remote offices however is there an automated way to complete this without having to uninstall/reinstall the agent on each machine. Good morning, I started having an issue with java.exe pegging my ManageEngine server on which Desktop Central and ADAudit Plus are installed. Desktop Central has build 90066, the last update I did a few weeks ago. Without warning or any changes to the server OS (virtualized Win2008), or the applications, java.exe started running at 100% CPU utilization. Description limited to 255 characters in the database
Hi, I'm creating an SSRS report and the description field is being cut off after 255 characters rendering some the requests unreadable. Is there any way of increasing the limit or is this hardcoded by the data type? Thanks

Google Map size in Widget
I have the Google Maps Widget on a dashboard showing all our branches. This is great for quickly identifying a branch with a problem. However if I refresh the widget the map goes to full screen of the widget window. But when the map refreshes itself it shrinks in the widget window and I then cannot see all the branches. Is there a way to make the map stay full size of the widget? Rob

PMP with existing local mySql Installation
We are attempting to try out Password Manager Pro MSP edition and are installing it on a Linux server. We would like the program to use the existing MySQL server instance to store the data, however, we have been unable to find instructions anywhere for how to accomplish this. hi! sorry, but could not find any usefull information... I am testing the eventlog Analyzer and can not find out what "agent" I need to collect events. I had several test installations, some of them did not uninstall without error, and now I have a version where Eventlogs are collected from a Server I think I installed an agent for, but another server which I added to the hosts still has 0 events reported. How to upgrade database?
I've got troubles with production instance of SDP MSP. It's still running on mysql, but, for a year of runnig, we've restore it once from new install. Right now I run into a performance problem. My server freeze, java uses 100% of processor time and almost all 4GB memory. I can't update 8211 to 8300, because of freezes. I'm looking to reinstall SDP MSP on a new server, but it use mysql database. New install of SDP MSP uses MSSQL or postgr sql. How can I restore my backup to a new server? I want not
Cannot restart SDP
Hi, On a Windows machine, I cannot seem to get SDP to restart. I actually have to reboot the machine to have it started. I am using the installed shortcuts in the start menu "Shutdown Service Desk" and "ServiceDesk Server", but I do not have the startup splash screen. Any ideas ? Thanks Maxime

Service Request approval work flow sequence
Hi there Please advise how come my template approval tree will stop on each stage. e.g, Stage one approved, the ticket status will put on Hold and will not automatically kick off stage two approver. Therefore, I will need to manually select the approver on stage two and press "send" to inform the approver and start the flow sequence. Please advise. Thanks

Hello-- I uploaded the MIB from Symantec on their Symantec Protection Engine for NAS version 7.5 and am trying to create monitors in OpManager to be able to be notified when events occur in SPE for NAS. I've been trying to configure the monitor after I read another forum post here, and I still need more details. FAILED to update SDP 9018 to any other version
First time run into a problem with update SDP 9018 to any other version (I tried 9023, 9022, 9021, 9019) all stop with the same problem. Query to return requests using custom additional fields
Hi, I want to create a report to select all requests filtered on a user generated additional field, this can't be done using the servicedesk reports so I need to query the back end. I need a list of requests using a particular template, with the requester name and request description, plus the three additional fields. Also need dates. Thanks.
Additional Fields not working as expected
I have been experiencing a problem where the additional fields I create for request templates do not always appear in the "Edit Template's" "Drag and Drop fields". In some instances the additional fields I have already created will appear there to be added to more templates, other times they won't be there so I will then add a new additional field for the exact same thing being a duplicate field.
