Backups not working? Upgrade not working?
Hi. We have NCM 5980, and database backups don't seem to work. The scheduled backup via GUI doesn't do anything (even though the page says the previous backup was then and then), and nothing shows in the backup execution history either. NCM help section says that there should be a BackupDB.bat file under NCM\bin folder to manually take backups, but it isn't there? I found a similar file under "D:\NCM\troubleshooting", and that creates a DB backup file, but the created backup is stored on the root

Hi, Is there a script that could be used as part of automation to send a report out when an event happens ? I'm trying to figure out if AD Manager can be setup to automatically send a report of all locked out users when any user locks there account as an early warning system...is this possible ? Issue with binding to single IP address

If I run the report 'Folder Permission Changes' it lists folders that apparently have had their permissions changed on my NetApp filers. However, the columns New Permission Original Permission Permission Modified Are all empty or display '-'. What use is this?

Last night we have update from the 12500 version to 12710 version, and detect that the "process monitoring" in the Linux connected by SSH are not working. and this affect to the Linux health however, the process are started, and in the process list it does appear: If we "Delete" de process and Add it Again, it still doesn't work. System not email requester when a ticket is udpated
I have gone into Setup > Automation > Notifications and checked the "Acknowledge Requester by Email when the request is updated" but the requester does not receive an email? I sent an email to the system and it automatically created an incident, and emailed me back stating that a ticket was created. OpManager v12 not recognizing Windows Server 2012 R2 host
I have a Windows 2012 R2 server that OpManager can ping and the credentials test succeeds, but it can't identify it as a server. If I manually associate it with the Windows Server 2012 R2 device template, the dials all work but it continues show the category as 'Unknown' and the Status as 'Device Not Monitored'.

Removing Local Admin Rights
I'm in an environment where a legacy program that required local admin rights has gone away and I'm looking for the best way to remove local admin rights my users have to their pc's. We have close to 300 machine and in lieu of going machine to machine I was hoping there was a better way. I asked this question int he ADManager forum and was directed to Desktop Central. Hi. With SDP 9202 I can search a portion of text and find a lot of results contains that portion of text (in title or request body). With SDP 9213 this is no longer possible. Is this correct? I have tried to reindex data for the requests with Your batch script, but nothing is changed. I have tried to use jolly characters or blockquotes, same result. Hi, Is it possible to either customise or disable the web form that appears when a request status is changed to 'closed'? I want to be able to add a second tier to the request closure codes eg - System issue -> Network. Date/time limit
Hi, We're currently facing a problem with the date/time format in the Manage Engine. We're trying to capture birthdays but the Manage Engine date/time format only allows until the year 1970. We can enter dates that are 1969 and earlier but upon saving, it does not show the value entered. Upon report extraction as well, it shows as Not Assigned. I always get a list with groups and then I have to click on permissions? Thats not what i want! We need that share report for recertification and audit! No Agents for OnDemand?
I seem to fail at finding the option to create agents to be installed on workstations, an option that is available on Service Desk Plus. I tried the Probe and to be honest its horrible, it fails to find computers that are in the same IP Range, even my second computer on my desk is not being discovered by the Probe and in such it is an unreliable tool.
When Addressing a Reply or Forward
Is there a setting so that you can type in a Contact/Support Reps User Name, instead of their email address? Example...user name is Shari Smith, but the email address is Cherrybug@domainname.com.... Right now with our setup, you have to type in "Cherrybug@domainname.com" (or at least the first part) to get the address to come up.
