PMP integration with OpManager and DeviceExpert
Hi, Actually, we are using PMP in our company, and we are working in the purchase process for OpManager and DeviceExpert. My question is if there is any option to change the credential profile of the devices on DeviceExpert and OpManger once you change the devices passwords through PMP? The idea behind this is basically avoid the manual process of updating those credential profiles. Could the Password Reset Listener be used to accomplish this task? Thanks in advance. Jose Suazo

Change HA Server from primary to secondary
Hi, We have Password Manager Pro running on a Linux box and we now require to move the installation to a Windows server so we can use the AD authentication. We would like to preserve the Linux installation and use this as the secondary server for HA. The only documentation I can find states that the HA role is assigned during installation, is there anyway to change the primary server once it has been installed without having to re-install? Hi, This is an example. We have 10 computer and on all of them Administrator pw is 'Admin123.' Is possible to change pw for one system and that will replicate to all others? if yes, how do we do that. -devin
Multiple SMTP Servers
We're in the process of upgrading our Exchange server and have some people testing the new server. Is it possible to configure the "SMTP Server Details" to include two Mail servers so all notifications are sent to both. If so, what is the syntax I should be using for the server name field? Weird Proxy issue
When I want to access PMP from internet, when I do this I have a weird issue... PMP is accessed from the internet on HTTPS (443) and nat-ed to PMP-server on port 7272. I get the log on page, so far so good. Then when I try to log in it won't go any further and get eventually a time out. I see in the browser that it has problems with "j_security_check"... Now here is the odd thing: when I enable HTTP (80) and redirect it to the PMP-server, log in runs flawessly!!!! I really don't want to open HTTP
Bug: Import Feature and Password Reset
If import resources from a CSV file, such as a Linux host, I cannot then go back and configure password reset, because a message pops up saying that two accounts must be entered. However, there is no way to enter an additional account except when you manually enter the resource. The edit resource dialog does not allow one to edit all the information that the new resource dialog does.
Configure Password reset
The configure password reset tab under Resource Group is not working for me. I selected a couple of resource groups and then hit configure password reset. Nothing happens. I selected one group, nothig here also. It works if I click on the half circle arrow, but I would like to do more than one group at a time.

email notifications when users are added to PMP user groups
I'm having issues with emails being sent to users, notifying them of such privileges, when they are added to groups. I setup the email settings and tested successfully. Configuring MS SQL Resources in PMP
Hi, I have PMP in our environment and am trying to determine the best way to configure MS SQL Resources. Currently I have some Windows 2003 servers with MS SQL installed and at the moment the resource is listed as a Windows resource with a local admin account defined as one of the user accounts within the resource. Cannot see any accounts when adding another resource
We run opmanager 6.1, Standard edition licensed for 2 administrators. We have 2 resources, with a number of accounts within each resource. Everything is working properly. I want to add a third resource. However, as soon as I add a third resource and add an account within it, suddenly none of the accounts show up in ANY of the resources that were just working fine. I click on a resource from the user tab, and nothing happens. Then I delete the resource I just added, and suddenly I can see the accounts

Auto Log Off Not Working in PMP
I have the Auto Log Off feature turned on for my users in PasswordManager Pro but it doesn't seem to be working. The displayed page remains indefinitely unless clicked on (much longer than the amount of time defined). Then sometimes it goes back to a log in screen and sometimes continues on. Why is this happening? Shouldn't the session be discontinued when the timer expires? Please let me know how to fix. This is a show stopper for my rollout of this product in my environment. Kurt
PMP 6.1 Password Alert
Hi All, A few days ago I've installed PMP 6.1 and went filling the application with passwords. Today I just saw (as admin) a yellow bell. When I move my mouse over it it's "ringing" and get a popup with the text "1 passwords in violation". What does this mean? How do I find out which password is violated? Perils of Password Sharing in Enterprises
Hi, Administrative passwords are literally ‘aplenty’ in enterprises of all sizes. They are mostly insecurely shared and lie scattered in the enterprise leaving little scope for any internal controls. Administrative identities like 'root' account on UNIX/Linux, 'Administrator' in Windows, 'Enable' in Cisco Devices etc are shared by a group of administrators. Apart from the ‘officially shared’ passwords, users often tend to reveal administrative passwords to their colleagues for some reason or other.
PWP in DR Site
We are testing our DR version of PWP Pro for the first time. In normal circumstances we have HA set and the DR PWP can see the live PWP on separate sites. In our DR test we break the link between the two sites, upgrade the permissions on the Domain Controller on the DR site and all log in. When we try and open PWP on the DR site, we get unknown user name and password for any domain user that tries to log in. The service is running successfully (I have restarted it and it started successfully). AD
Audit report question
Is it possible to create a report based on a custom filter? I have created a filter that only displays "Password Retrieved" operations for a specific date range, but when I click on Export, I receive all data. We don't currently purge any data so the report is showing data for the last 6 months. Spell out the password using words?
Notice how the "I" (capital i) and "l" (small L) can look alike? If I were to read a password out to a user, I may get confused if it’s an “i" or an “L”. This would pose a problem when logging into Windows where the user only has three attempts before the account is locked out. Would it be possible if the password font be changed (e.g. to Courier)? Or better yet, have a phonic representation of each character (each character has a word such as "a = apple, A = APPLE"?
PMP through a proxy never completes the "Fetching" phase for account passwords
We're working at implementing Password Manager Pro at our site and are hoping to keep the service on our private network and expose it's service via our F5 FirePass VPN server. The FirePass allows us to do layer 7 (HTTPS, etc) proxies through it and everything seems to work fine in PMP except for the fetching of an account password to be displayed. (We just get the cyclon-raider style 'fetching.gif' and never have it turn into the **** for the masked password) We're continuing to look into

It would appear that we have set up HA properly between our 2 servers. I verified by going to Admin>General>High Availability per the how-to. Trouble after installing 6100 update
Hello, I spoke with a very helpful support person this morning who was able to work through a few problems we had with the 6100 build update. It appears everything is working pretty well, however we are receiving some errors when trying to access some of our password Groups. Three give trouble, however the other 12 appear to be okay. Here are the symptoms: If we click on a resource under "Show Resources" for any of the 3 groups in question, an 'error on page' is generated (see below) Line:

Hello, What does a subscription to Password Manager Pro Standard Ed. entitle the user to? After the subscription expires, does the user merely lose access to software updates, does the server revert to the free version, or does the server lock up completely? Does the Windows service account password reset work for local accounts? I'm just testing the product right now and I don't want to hook it up to the domain at this time, but can it reset local services using local accounts? The options in the documentation don't seem to match what I see, but it may be because I don't want to import my AD users at this time.

Canceling the syncronization schedules
Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to cancel the syncronization schedule for a domain import of resources. I can view it via the Admin -> Active Directory -> View Syncronization Schedules, howerver have not found a way to cancel/re-create a schedule as it seems to retained the previous import information. Import of Multiple user accounts (1000's)
I have been trying to migrate our old password system into PMP, however i cant seem to bulk import the user accounts, i have been able to bulk import resources, however that is not very useful when there are 200 resources and 4000 passwords / accounts. has anyone had sucsess at this, or can confirm if this is even possible? thanks,
Service presenting blank screen
We keep getting blank screen when going to the web service and it does not route to the backup. This is cured by stopping and starting the service. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to correct it?
Change AD Imports and User names
Is there any way to change the "User Name" in PMP to use anything other than First Name Lastname from AD? (without changing the AD data, which is correct) The reason is that we have a number of users that have the same first name and last name but different initials. PMS imports all of them as the same. Example: Fred A Bloggs and Fred B Bloggs are in the AD as First name: Fred Initials : A Last name : Bloggs Display Name: Bloggs, Fred A First name: Fred Initials : B Last name : Bloggs
Delegating Access with Password User
Hi, I have an issue while delegating access to a resource/Resource group with Password User. View & Modify works fine, however when it comes to Manage - Password user do not get to manage the resource. Password user do not the arrow like icon to share the resource further. If I delegate the same resource group to a Password administrator, it works fine. I am using PMP Ver 6.0.0 Please advise.
