Has anyone out there had any experience monitoring a LeftHand Networks IP SAN? We have 5 NSM 150s configured in 2 separate clusters. I'm getting lost here trying to find the right MIBs and which ones to monitor. Thanks...and have a great weekend.

How Does OpManager ID a Device is a SQL Server?
Hello-- I've been adding new devices to OpManager build 11300, and when I added 4 SQL servers, OM identified two of the devices as SQL servers and automatically added the SQL oriented monitors ((MSSQL Named Instances, MSSQL Dashboard view, Database, and MSSQL Monitors)... ...BUT, it did not identifiy two other SQL servers as SQL and so they don't have the above monitors, etc. Why didn't OpManager identify two SQL servers as being SQL even though they all have the same credentials, the same
Finding the right HP mibs
Hi, I have downloaded the HP MIB pack and there are 306 MIB's in the package. There is seemingly no way to find out what mibs belong to what system... Has anybody a clue? Do we need to make a support request to HP to get this info?
OpManager OVF Ready for Production use?
Is the OVF deployment ready for production deployments? The documentation is limiting on the initial setup, and how are upgrades handled as well, the current download is a release or two behind?
OpManager 11300 and UPS battery low
Hello. We just upgraded to build 11300 today, and after that we got alarms from both of our monitored Powerware UPS devices. The message says "UPS battery is low". Still, both batteries are charged at 100%, so there must be something wrong with OpManager. No issues with build 11200.
Automation to send reports and alerts to email address
Hi, I have installed Windows health monitoring tool. Right now we have to enter e-mail address of recipient and attach the report. Is there a way that the tool e-mails report to e-mail address as soon it reaches the threshold?
opmanager 11300 problems shown on your demo
Im very nervous to upgrade, as I'm not real favorable of the departure from nuts and bolts way of looking at network and server status, to what I think, looks like a more 'glossy' view of system status. Looking at the online demo of 11.3 I'm seeing glaring problems with availability information for multiple devices (screenshots attached). 1. I think this issue needs addressed 2. Report on all system health or disks usage
How can i get these kind of reports: * All systems (VMs, VMS hosts (VMWare) and physical servers) health -- availability, CPU, Memory and Disk utilization. Default "Health Report" does not includes data for VM hosts * All systems disks and volumes usage. Something like default "Volumes With High Disk Utilization" but with VM hosts.
Monitor Self Signed SSL URL
Hi, I am getting issue in monitoring Self Signed SSL URL. If I leave " Match Content" filed blank and click Check it shows no error. But when I enter any value in " Match Content" it shows error " The String Password did not appear in the response of URL : https://abc.local" I am using following build OS Name & Version : Linux, 2.6.18-308.el5 OpManager version : 11300 (32 Bit) Kindly help.
uninstall OpManager
I tried to uninstall OpManager a couple minutes ago. It was hanging. I tried again. It says that 'setup' file is missing. Please help me how to remove OpManager completely.
I am not able to open localhost.
I have installed the manageengine software - free edition and after that i am not able to open localhost page. it stuck on http://localhost:9090/jsp/Login.do I have done the troubleshooting steps like start,restart change port number, system restart etc. but still i am not able to open the localhost. can you please provide me solution for this. Edit Thresholds not staying
I am noticing not just this but removing any thing doesn't do nothing it just goes back as if you did nothing. Currently I am getting an alarm on a particular item so I want to edit the threshold to 0 or nothing but it always goes back to the previous data that was in there. I tried to delete the device and readd but it does nothing. Its almost as if the data is not being deleted out of the database. My build is 11100
CLI performance monitor(linux)
We have 8 RHEL 6 servers and 1 centos server. We added CLI monitor metrics to all machines. It worked like a charm.But 2-3 days later we found the CLI monitor not working. Can you explain why this is happening? Provided the username/password are correct. Hope to hear from you soon! Ranny

Reports and Data capture on SYSLOG events

I have configured my firewall to capture event logs to be sent to the OpManager SYSLOG server. Based on the rules set, I altered the failed login rule to capture the warn and informational type data, however I purposefully logged into my firewall incorrectly I am not seeing this information in the viewer, nor am I able to capture this data in report. Netflow plugin data issue
Hi, I have opmanager plus the netflow plugin installed. I have two issues 1. I have data coming in from two sonicwall firewalls. a nsa3500 and a tz215. the data coming in from the nsa3500 is fine and is accurate. the data coming in from the tz215 is not. firstly i only see four interfaces when the tz215 has six. secondly the current network speeds and data shown is much lower than what i know is actually being used. i suspect it is off by a factor of 10. how do i fix it? 2. i accidently deleted (meant

Is it possible for OpManager to monitor for the occurrence of certain “Processes"? As an example we have a server where there should always be 6 processes running named "CareProvider.Messenger.exe *32". If there are less than 6, then it should alert. Unable to connect to rest api from powershell
I'm hoping to start adding and updating devices via Powershell but I'm having issues making a connection. I'm receiving the error mesesage "Unable to connect to the remote server". All was working well in the iOS App until we upgraded to 11300 and now we get: webcliebt.api.parametervaluenotexists with a button that reads 'try again'. This happens under any category in the Infrastructure area. Business view works fine but we want infrastructure to work.
OpManager Blank Screen after Login
Hi Guys, So i just installed OpManager 11 and left everything as default during the installation. The only thing i ran into was when i tried to specify a web server port, it couldn't use 80 so instead it used 8086. Other than that, fine. I've tried to use it, and so far only gotten as far as logging in with admin:admin. after that, i get a white page that after a good 10 minutes, eventually say "Internet Explorer could not display the webpage". OpManager - Google Maps
The google maps feature is nice; however, I see no point in using it in its current state... It only allows you to add devices, when it should permit the addition of links to business views... Try adding 100+ devices for one location on a google map (WHAT A MESS!!!). Please add the ability to add business views (as a link) to google maps.
Opmanager alarm error
Hi We have been getting some false alarms on our Disk space monitor the last couple of month. The alarms are only present at night one or two times a month usually it happens at the time our weekly backup of our systems runs. Is it the combination of backup of disk and the monitor running at the same time that triggers this error? F.x the e-mail alarm says that there is less than 900mb free disk, but the monitor itself in Opmanager shows no such thing.

Unable to login
Hi, I have installed Opmanager v11.3. Was able to successfully install it with default configuration and Postgresql. The login page appears when I use http://localhost. But as I input the default username and password the page hangs there and gets blank. The top of page shows License Activation and hangs there till eternity. Could someone please help tell why this is happening and what is solution for this?

Service Account Locked Out
Good Day, We are using OpManager 11200 to monitor our servers and website urls using WMI. For the last 3 to 4 weeks the service account which we use gets locked out at irregular times and we get 100 of mails stating that the servers and urls are down. The account gets locked out every 2 to 3 days. If the wrong account details were added on one of the URL monitors, would OpManager not lock the account out constantly, instead this happens at irregular time intervals and days apart. Please assist
Turn off alarms for disabled services
Hello, I get alarms for disabled services. I don't want any alarm for this. For example "File Replication Service". Is there any way to avoid getting this monitors configured in the first place, and also is there a way to remove all monitors for disabled services? Thanks.

HTML Formatting included in SPM Export
Whenever I export a list from Switch Port Mapper via any method (PDF, xlsx or csv) a lot of HTML formatting is included. For example, IP addresses are listed in the cell as such: "<a class="linktxt" onclick="javascript:getPopUp('172.16.70.194' , event )">172.16.70.194</a> <br> " When we tested OpUtils running under Linux, this didn't happen. We moved it to Windows and started noticing this. Currently running 7.1, build 71013. Can this be fixed? Thanks!
