hi All, as i know OpManager is capable to monitor 3Com switch, but after i added the 3Com switch and which has snmp enable (i can see the blue star under OpManager), i didn't see any under CPU Utilization or Memory Utilization. pls help thx.
Problem with resource monitoring
I added new device (Linux machine). It works fine. Hi, Nice SP, installation went well and all seem great, I tried the file monitor and got some weird behaviors. There is a little glitch on the "Test Monitor" function. If the monitored file does not exist, there is a javascript error that appears, line 7452, char 3, error is "Object Required". I know the file does not exists, but I expected the same popup with a red "File does not exists" instead of a javascript error :) As I wrote this message, I made some check, and a really weird thing happens...
Build 8050?

We're currently on 8030 and I'm starting to get confused regarding the different service packs being released. Any clarification is greatly appreciated. Rob

NEw vendor and Category
Currently I have a created a new monitor for a temperature alert device. I was able to create a new Type (Sensatronics) but I had to list it under a random vendor(3Com) and category (Desktop) since I don't see the option to create my own vendor and categoryu?

Monitoring additional Proc, Memory & disk monitors using OpManager8
Hi We are currently using OpManager 7 & are in the process of evaluating OpManager 8 (build 8025) for Windows server monitoring. In addition to CPU, disk & memory utilization, we are trying to monitor some additional parameters like Disk Queue Length, Memory monitors (Pages per Second & Page Faults) & Processor monitors (Processor time & Idle Time). We are able to monitor CPU Utilization, Disk Utilization & Memory Utilization, however the other additional monitors mentioned above do not seem to

Dear All, I had monitored some remote server, these servers didn't set SNMP before. Now I got the right, install and set SNMP agent in them. then I changeed the credential ticket(test passed), I hoped the addtional information(CPU, mem and HD usage) for those existing systems would be collected. But after one day, I didn't see the addtional informaiton. So I try to "Rediscover Now", I got some correct information for the server(such as Sys Desc. Type etc.). but I still can't get the information
Issue with Opmanager 8040
Since updating Opmanager to 8040 the schedule reports have stop working. This happened a while ago where the clases folder was sent to correct this problem. Please can you resolve this issue asap.
After the Upgrade of Opmanager 8 to SP4
After installing the SP4 my Domain controllers have problems with the CPU monitoring. The CPU Utilization is using the SNMP OID: AD.OS.Total.PercentProcessorTime in stead of SNMP OID: .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2. That means that i always receive error because the total is around 100% and not the current 1% How can i solve this

OPmanager, Alerting sending SMS to ISDN Modem on USB
I have a AVM FritzCard ISDN Modem, connected to USB on the Server. I want to send SMS Alerts to this AVM-ISDN-Modem. The Modem uses Dial-Up to our SMS Provider. The USB uses no COM Port - it's a USB Port. The way to send Mail to generate a SMS uses the Internet. Internet is not the best way to send Alerts ... And i don't want to connect a GSM Phone to the Server, because is in the basement of the building with no GSM Signal there. Is there a way to config this ?

Alarms are not clearing on their own
I have two devices that have alarms stating they are down but I have tested both within opmanager using the Ping tool and they both are active but the alarms will not clear by itself. Thanks, Joe

Dear Support, I am currently running Opmanager 7027 and would like to upgrade to the latest build# 8040. The AMS purchased initially together with Opmanager 6 license had expired. Can I continue to download and upgrade to the latest version? Does upgrading require a valid AMS? Thanks.

Hello, we have OpManager v8025 ... it's work fine ... Like service, with Apache server ... But, we upgrade to v8030, and ManageEngine disappeared from list of services ... Apache server to ... We start OpManager from batch file, like service ... but new version uses TomCat server, not apache ... How we can change settings properly ? WEB access dosn't work ... Best regards, Z
Sending emails to Opmanager for control
Any chance you'll add some control over Opmanager via email? I'd like the option to suppress alarms by replying to an Opmanager email alert. Either that or the ability to access Opmanager via my Blackberry.
Supporting Modems
I am not sure why OpManager has been developed to support only a small number of modems/mobile devices. I have a Blackberry that I am trying to connect via USB. The com port has been registered in Windows, but OpManager is telling me that it is not connected properly.

OpManager 8.3 upgrade - issues
Hi, After upgrading to OpManager 8.3 I found some issues: 1. Legend/Units does not show for "number" graphs in the snapshot page. See the attached OpManager_8_3_router_snapshot.png. 2. No networks are show in Maps - Network Views after discovery of networks when starting from an empty database, but nodes are added as expected. 3. Monitoring Interval for e.g. Windows 2003 is set to 5 minutes during discovery, even if the device template has been change to 1 minute prior to the discovery. See the attached

We publised opmanager to the outside world but now evenry time a connect i get an certificate problem. Is there a simple solutions for solving this problem? We would like to use our own certificates but i dont know how i can configure it with Apache. Can anybody help me with this please?

Gents, I see some more false alarms in this build. I didn't have these alarms in the 8025. Do you have the similar issue ?

Recent allarms in Snapshots
Hi, Since upgrading to version 8 (now in 8030) i have noticed that when I add a new device (router or switch) the interfaces seen during the discovery as down are seen as down and do not trigger an allarm. In this case I have interfaces on the switch or router which are down during discovery and i am not aware that they are down. Is this a normal behaviour? Build 8024 Opmanager opens the web client automatically on server reboot. I have OPManager installed as a service and I want it to run automatically, however I do not want the web client to automatically open on the Windows desktop every time I reboot the server. Monitoring file age in build 8030
When monitoring the file age (using the file monitor in build 8030), Opmanager uses the file creation time to trigger alerts. We would like to monitor the modified time of a file. I.e. Opmanager should send an alert if the file hasn't been modified for 30 minutes. Is this possible?
SD plus and Opmanager not linking
Running SD+ Enterprise v 7.6 build 7601 and Opmanager build 8025 When I click on jump to Opmanager in SD the link does not work. When I click on device Info>asset details in Opmanger again I get an error.
