Opmanager mail server and sms settings
Dear Kevin i am not able to set the Mail server setting as customer details setting is listed below could any one tell me what i do, file is attached where i have set this mail server setting and server is hosted in Google mail. also i have connect the modem with server for SMS service and we are not able to set the sms setting on Opmanager could any one brief me about sms messages sating how it will work? no custom monitors (temparature) for vmware template
Hi, At the moment it isn't possible to add custom monitors to the vmware hosts when running in the vsphere plugin environment. I would like to see the hardware status shown in virtual center also to be shown in opmanager. Or if that isn't possible, to have the ability to add custom monitors to the vmware hosts. Any comments on this ?

Google Maps settings not saved
Hello, We recently re-installed our OpManager server due to a crash of the old one. We were able to access the flat files and managed to get all data back and everything works great, but when we open the Google Maps Widget, which has several devices in it, it always starts with a view somewhere in the US. I "relocated" the view several times, but it doesn't seem to save the view. We are using the latest build (8812). I upgraded the new server after the data was restored from version 8811, on which
Removing notification
I set up a notification for a user on all switches and the user no longer needs to monitor the switches. He is set up with other devices and they need to stay. I can select the group go into notifications and un-check everything and he is no longer notified but his name is still in the notification tab on all of the devices. Is there a way to remove the name from the notification tab?

I see that OpManager supports VMWare monitoring. Now that Microsoft has released Hyper-V (Microsoft's competitor to VMWare), will OpManager be providing direct support as it does for SQL, Exchange, and VMWare monitors?

AIX Monitoring using CLI
Hi, Would like to refer a problem encountered in OpManager in monitoring AIX servers. OpManager cannot monitor the CPU, Memory and Disk utilization. I have already raised this issue but the problem keeps on occurring. We have different versions of AIX: 5.1, 5.3, 6.1 Your immediate response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Upgrade OpUtils 5.8 to 6.x
How do you upgrade to the new version of OpUtils 6? When I run the installer, it wants me to uninstall my current version before the install will run. How do I do this without losing my settings and configuration? Thanks.
Customization/Localization
Hi OpManager Team, is it possible to change/customize the translation of the menu anywhere? The attached files show the parts, where I want to change the translation of "dashboard". Technically it might be right translated with "Armaturenpult" but practically it's not used in the content of network management at all. The second question about customization is related to the third screenshots attached. Is it possible to deactivate the whole "link status" diagram, which is new in business view? Best

HI I am currently testing Opmanager 8 and I have two server that I want to monitor. Is it possible to monitor using Opmanager with LAN setting or does it have to setup a third computer to use as Opmanager to pull monitor data off the two server.

Hi all im using OpManager build (8812) I have configured my opmanager to monitor three services on server and its shows " service down " while the services are up , i cleared however after 10 to 15 min its shows up again and so on.. please help Thanks
Unable to fetch Managed Object details for the object
Hi everyone, We are receiving the above message when trying to click on an object in opmanager. The object shows up as "Unknown" with it's name as USCHHV03. I've seen this in other threads and it looks like the issue may need to be resolved via a call. I've attached an op manager support file as well. Thank you for your time.
NOC view with ACL type read only access for auto sign-in when using a Web browser.
Create for the Admin a NOC Manager link similar to the User Manager link under tools, where an Admin can define NOC PCs (static IPs) that could display a webpage without having to sign in. The Admin could define what the NOC PC would have access to, but with read only access.
OpManager WMI monitors graphical display issue
Dear Team, My OpManager server is recently having some problem displaying the graphics of monitors for WMI monitors (like radial display for CPU, memory and disk). It only shows the default gray color (no data to display) . When I try to test the monitor (Edit> Test Monitor) i get a positive response with WMI. I try to restart the ManageEngine service but in less than 24 hours the same problem would appear. This has happened the 4th time since its first occurence last 3 days ago. I'm not sure what

WMI with OpManager for Linux
Pardon my ignorance :), but can OpManager 6 for Linux also perform WMI monitoring? I do not see WMI monitors in the available list.
Expand Port Display Name Field
When configuring the ports on a Cisco switch the default display name is the full name of the port plus the description entered in the CLI. Could the size of that field be expanded in the configure ports screen? The text runs off the side of the text box and so you cannot see the full name of the port without scrolling in each field. It makes editing multiple ports difficult. Either just double the size or make it a user-configurable amount of space. Thanks

Problem to add new Esxi server
Dear Support, I have some problem to add new esxi to OPManager : Before, when I added a esx server, I received a form with "host name", userID and Password to establish the connection. Now, I receive the same form as the form in the admin panel and the esx server is not added correctly to OPManager. I think that problem occurred since I had updated to 8812. CLI API not closing sessions correctly
Hi, I have discovered an issue with the CLI API and am wondering is there a fix/workaround for it? The issue is the close() method in the CLISession class sends a FIN,ACK message to the devices. This is supposed to be just a FIN message if it were to adhere correctly to the standards. Most devices however ignore the incorrect flags and exit the session. However some devices are stricter and do not close the session. These are Cisco devices and the result is that the line stays up on the device and

How can I map by zip code
We have over 350 sites nationwide and we would like to have a US map on the OpManager dashboard that would have each site in it's correct location with a dot that would change with status - red yellow or green dots. We have zip code data for each site and would like to place them on the map by zip code instead of having to manually place each site. Can anyone help me with a method to do this?
Device image
Hello, I'm new in APManager and even after upload an image to the correct directory ("\ManageEngine\OpManager\webclient\common\images\DeviceImage") the Business View doesn't show the image I have just uploaded. When I use a standard image the BV shows the image normally. It should be something easy to fix, but after change the image properties some times, I give up.

Create Device Templates based on non OID data
Currently a device template can only be created by using an SNMP OID. While that makes sense and makes scanning more intelligent it does limit the usefulness of the Quick Configuration Wizard. AIX interface not show
I have 3 AIX server that I monitored using OPManager. I have successfully add the server in to OPManager but in the interfaces section the interface not show, when I try to rediscover it says that unable to rediscover. The credential tes was passed for both SNMP and CLI. What can I do to showing the interfaces ?

Add traps from multiple MIBS
When adding traps from imported MIBS you can only see a small number per screen and they have to be each processed manually. Could this list be expanded to show more MIBs in a single screen and have check boxes added to search more than one MIB? If you have a large number of MIB's this can take a long time. Another thought would be to also add the option to search and import traps simultaneously when the MIB is being uploaded.
