Router Info - IP Routing Table
Good morning, It seems that when you change the community name for a specific device, each time you do a "Router Info / IP routing table", the SNMP community string sent is "public" and not the good one. Could you confirm ? (same for IP address table) Many thanks,
A Few Questions
1. Why doesn't ManageEngine OpManager automatically discover all computer names? Some computers are listed as IP addresses, while others are automatically named. 2. Do monitoring options change depending on the device type selected? 3. If it is a laptop computer but the brand is only listed as generic, should you choose laptop as the category or choose the brand? For instance, I have a dell laptop I am monitoring, but the only category for that is dell. Should I make the category laptop or dell?
OpManager (linux) as daemon ?
When I start opmanager in linux (console), it stays up until I log out or my ssh session expires .. how can I keep it up ?

Is there somewhere in OpManager that one can reference "normal" ranges for any given network that one can enter for a given device to be monitored? (i.e. "Interface Graph: a normal range for Tx Traffic in Bps)

Installation Keeps Repeating
I am trying to install the OpManager program on a computer system that is running Windows 2000 Pro. It is just below the recommended specs. The problem is that the Preparing to install the Java Virtual Machine just keeps running. It restarts several times and never completes. I let the system try to install overnight last night and it never gets past the initial install screen. I have already downloaded the latest version of Java and that did not help. I have all the Microsoft patches and hotfixes
Error when calling the get on Traptime

Errindex: 1 I have loaded the BEA-WEBLOGIC-MIB and it loaded fine and I am able to browse it. when I try a get on any other Mbean I get Sent get request to hdmctomdvl2.harley-davidson.com : 161 No data available in this sub-tree Am I doing something wrong? Monitoring CPU Utilization in Linux Servers.
I have SNMP enabled in all of my Linux servers. But i am not able see CPU utilization in 1. Snapshot of the device and 2. Graph viewer also. Can somebody help me out to see the CPU Utilization. Thx, John
Saving Monitoring Intervals
I'm evaluating your product and so far really like it. One problem that I'm having though is that all my clients PCs are generating alerts whenever they are shutdown. To resolve this I go under "Configure" -> "Monitoring Intervals..." and then uncheck the Desktop item. But when I go back into this screen it's checked again. What might I be doing wrong. Can OpManager send the trap to other manager? ver2
I have already explored the link that Radhai sent answering Li Guiquan's question. But for OPManager not only do I need to forward the trap, I need to edit for example the comunity first, and then send it. How can I do this, furthermore where do I get the java program needed to do this? Thanks
Starting OpManager for Windows as a Service
Is there a way to get OpManager 5 to startup as a Windows Service? If not, is this going to be added in the near future? In my organization it's hard to justify having a logged-in user start-up OpManager just to have it run. Thanks.
