monitor error
I'm adding AD monitors to the my DCs and i'm coming across an error when testing the monitor. The service account we're using is not locked out, I successfully tested the WMI credentials and I confirmed the service account is a member of the domain admins group (I even added the service account to the enterprise admins group). NetApp FAS2040 Monitoring
We are implementing several of these NetApp filers and wish to monitor & report on them through OpManager ( build 8721). We have uploaded the NetApp MIB and worked at creating a new device template with monitors. Long story short, no conclusive results. For instance, CPU Utilization or used and free space on volumes. Has anyone else had any success creating these monitors? Thansk in advance.

Process monitor using snmp
Hi support team, We use SNMP to monitor servers and we have several questions: 1.As we understand, when adding Process Monitor, Opmanager will query HOST-RESOURCE-MIB to determine process list. Some manufactures provide specific Mib for servers information (aix, Hp-ux, ...), and those MIBs contain such kind of information (CPU, Mem, Disk, Process...). Device Details Password - how to set for all/template devices?
Hi all, I have a question regarding the Password option under a servers 'Device Details' section. When I choose a server I can then click this option, and choose my SNMP under 'Use this Snmp Credential', I have 100+ servers that need this setting, how do I do this on a group basis? It's not under the deviec template. Bit of an OPManager novice, just getting it all set up so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

How does one go about monitoring the Cisco switch stack/chassis using opmanager? I downloaded the MIBS and placed in the appropriate directory but not sure how to look for specific things related to the chassis. Any insight would be appreciated.
Monitoring blackout periods
Is it possible to set a blackout period where the alert will pause from its monitoring schedule? This would be helpful for scheduled restarts that some applications may require or need. It would avoid uneeded alerts of "down/up server(ices).
Interface limit incorrect in Opmanager Essential build 9000
I get this error message: "Your current installation has 12538 Interfaces. A single installation can handle only up to 10000 Inetrfaces. Please try the Enterprise Edition" Isn't the interface limit 50.000? Best Regards Daniel

Isilon Monotoring
Anyone out there had any success with monitoring Isilon storage systems? I have managed to connect to the Isilon but when I try to set up new Monitors using MIB Browser the MIBs are not readable. MIB Browser opens the RFC 1315 MIB by default, but when I try to use the ONEFS-MIB file the browser refuses to open it. I have tried to open the Isilon MIBs with MibBrowser.bat without success. I have also checked the MIBs with another browser (from System Pulse) and they parse ok. I have attached the two

OpManager MSSQL 2005 database seems too large
Hi - I upgraded my OpManager last night from 8721 to 8812 using the upgrade packs required per ManageEngine web site (files ending 8810 and 8_1_2). The upgrade took much longer than expected - the MSSQL backup took 58 minutes and the database reorganization done by package 8_1_2 took more than 45 minutes). I was monitoring both the application and SQL server using Task Manager during the upgrade and didn't see any resource constraints. My MSSQL database is 82G, which seems quite big and I suspect

After some time (1 or 2 days) OP manager stop to show Memory, CPU, Response time and Disk utilization information then i simply run DBREPAIR few times or restart services of manage engine, after that it working fine but for just 1 or 2 days. When I change the view to display 50/100 items, it displays only the first 20+ items and there is no scoll bar for scrolling to view the remaining items. Using both IE and firefox. 2. URL monitors stop working
Hi. We have several URLs being monitored by OpManager but after a few days of adding them they randomly stop being managed (not all at the same time). If we choose to manage them they are fine for a few days (or sometimes weeks) but then break again. See the screenshot to see what happens. SNMP v3 Opmanager and Nortel/Avaya
Hello, I have over 200 Nortel/Avaya switches, mix of 5500 and 8600. I am moving all these to SNMP v3 as part of our PCI compliance. I have created new credentials in Opmanager to reflect v3. When i update a device with the new credentials, it fails , when i try to "rediscover now" again it fails. the only way i seem to be able to get Opmanager to use V3 credentials correctly is if i remove the device using RemoveDBEntries.bat, restart Opmanager Server and re-discover the device.Then it works fine
OpManager 8812 map and list views display different device numbers
Hi - I upgraded my OpManager last night from 8721 to 8812 using the upgrade packs required per ManageEngine web site (files ending 8810 and 8_1_2). After the upgrade, I noticed that when viewing my maps, the items shown are different depending on whether I am viewing the Map view or the List View. For example, Servers map view shows 42 servers, list view shows 44 servers Routers map view shows 91 routers, list view shows 109 routers Etc. Any idea how I can fix that? Thanks
Netflow plugin becomes unavailable
We are starting to have an issue where the Netflow plugin stops and no flows are being processed. We have to restart the OpManager service to get it going again. We are on the latest version of both OpManager and the Netflow plugin. We also have the NCM plugin. All are running on the same server running Windows 2008 R2 with 8GB RAM. Weird Graphs
Hello, Wondering if anyone else is having the same problems I am with my graphs. I am seeing weird ups and downs in my graphs. The poll rate is 1 min but still shows the above. Opmanager login error after upgrade
Yesterday I upgraded Opmanager from 7200 & above to 8050. While the installations didn't end with an error, I started receiving "Oops looks like a few tables got corrupted. Don't worry.. Run RepairDB.bat from bin directory and restart the server" errors when I trying to login. I tried repairdb many times, with no error messages, but that didn't solve the issue. I found log files in \logs directory that includes many errors as below. What should I do to repair this issue. I only have the conf folder
Uptime Widget
Is there an easy way for me to get a widget to display the uptime on all my devices or devices I choose? I have the SNMP monitor already running on each server. I created a Top N for a Performance Monitor widget. But it only shows lowest ever value, highest ever value and average. I would like the current value to be displayed.
When will OpManager Distributed Version 9 be released?
Hi We are currently using version 8 and holding off configuring and exploiting it in the hope version 9 becomes available soon as promised. Is there an actual date? Hi I have recently changed the mail server settings to use a different mail server. But when I set the "From Email ID" field, it is being ignored and the mail is being sent from the address that opmanager uses to authenticate with the mail server. Thanks Dave
How to duplicate OpManager to another site
Hi, I have OpManager that running fine in primary site. Since there were quite number of changes / configurations were done, is there a way we can duplicate the OpManager from primary site to other site? The most significant configuration what we done is SNMP traps, MIB files, Notification Setup, and Device template. So, doing this all over again is not a best practice and its time consuming as well. Derive new business view from existing?
Is it possible to derive a new business view from one that you have already created? I spent a good chunk of my time a few days ago creating a view of part of my infrastructure, but now I want to diagram out specific portions and it would save me tons of time if I could just derive a new view, delete all the irrelevant items for that portion of my infrastructure, and then save that view as a new one.

Problem creating downtime schedule
Hi. I am using OpManager 8 (build 8052) and have an issue with the Downtime Scheduler for monitoring URLs. Some of our web sites are offline from 8pm until 7am the next day so I want to schedule downtime for this time window. However, when I set the start time to 20:00 and the end time to 07:45 it generates this error: End time should be greater than start time How can I get around this? I tried creating 2 schedules, the first from 20:00 to 00:00 and then a second from 00:00 to 07:00 but
Configure Network Interfaces for monitoring by OpManager
I am running OpManager 8 on Windows and have several Ubuntu 10.04 LTS servers. I have been able to get pretty much everything I want configured but cannot find a way to make OpManager identify the ethernet interface(s) in the servers. I haven't been able to find any information on net-SNMP or in the forums here.
Can only see one MSSQL instance
My SQL server have two instances but OpManager can only see one. Tried to rediscover. Tried to "Add Monitor" under "MSSQL Services" but the second instance is not listed.
