Is there a way to block websites with Desktop Central? I have been reading through some documentation but have not been able to find anything. Thank You.

Does anyone have a solution to use DC to turn off SSL 3 on the computer? I know this is a per user option. I would like to see who has it set to on and the ability to turn it off. Mark

Good morning, I started having an issue with java.exe pegging my ManageEngine server on which Desktop Central and ADAudit Plus are installed. Desktop Central has build 90066, the last update I did a few weeks ago. Without warning or any changes to the server OS (virtualized Win2008), or the applications, java.exe started running at 100% CPU utilization. A way to see which missing patches have been deployed?
Hi I regularly go into the Highly Vulnerable list and apply patches by machine. When I have a lot of systems outstanding it is very hard to keep track of which ones I have done. The configurations view doesn't show which machines each config has been applied to. Can the machines that a configuration is applied to be added as an optional column in the configurations view? Or is there another way to tell which machines I've already applied patches to? Right now I just end up re-applying them. Rob

Shared Network Printing configuration issue.
We setup this software on a server BIOPDF.com. We shared printing software and have tested successfully. If the shared printer is added manually as a user, the printer installs fine and works. If I try to add the printer with Desktop Central via configuration shared network printer it does not show up. Desktop Central states the printer was installed successfully, but the printer does not show up on the client machine ( in control panel devices and printers ) and does not show up as a printer

Need help with configuration
Hi all, I have installed the free version on our AD server. I then used the console to install the agent on two computers. I created a MSI package, tested it on an old machine and it works, and created a configuration task to send out to the two machines. The problem is that neither machine gets the program installed. Can someone point me in the right direction. thanks Mitch
scheduling custom script
Hi, I want to run a custom script everyday that checks and reports the percentage of space left. I want to run this everyday but unfortunately I don't see an option to do that. Its says I can run it at logon but I don't login to every server everyday. Is there anyway to get Desktop Central to run the script at a specific time everyday or even several times throughout the day?
ports utilization for Desktop Central MSP - Directly connections
Hi guys, I need to install Desktop Central MSP trial version for the moment and I want to connect 3 remote client with the direct connection option. Hi, Can someone please tell me how to get a report which shows me which registry setting was applied to each user, currently this report only shows how many registry settings were applied but does not show which they were. I also tried to find an option to report on a specific registry setting configuration, but there does not appear to be one. The report I am looking for should show each user and each setting that is applied to that user something like this Username reg setting configuration

Desktop Central agent "Apply configuration" Question
Why will the desktop agent on users computers not reapply configurations when "Apply configurations" is clicked? For instance I have a shortcut configuration that puts certain shortcuts on peoples desktops. If a user would accidentally delete one of these shortcuts I could tell them to right click on the agent on the task bar and click "Apply configuration" and they would appear in a few seconds. Need to remove Malware Bytes from many company computers
I have been working with DesktopCentral for a few months now. I am trying to automate removal of MalwareBytes from my company's computers using a custom configuration / script. I have tried all the scripts I could find via a Google search with no luck. Can a program be installed or uninstalled from DesktopCentral client computer connected via public internet?
I am able to push Windows operating system patches, but not other program installs / uninstalls, onto my company's computers working remotely (using public internet instead of secure company network). Does anyone know why this is the case? What might I be doing wrong?
Java deployment - "Error occurred while downloading the required files."
I have deployed Java 7 Update 65 (32-bit) to 239 machines in our organization. There are 150 successful and only 5 failed which doesn't concern me to much at this point. There are 32 machines that are in retry status and the majority of these machines show message " Error Occurred while downloading the required files." I have seen this message on a few other deployments as well and I am not sure if the problem is from the Desktop Central Server or the Distribution Server. Has anyone run into this
Be able to set the package installation order for a configuration
When creating a configuration with multiple packages it would be great if you could set the package installation order. Some applications require additional installs of addons and bit so setting the order would be great. Another example is we use a configuration for setting up new computers, the configuration contains the packages for all of the software that will be installed on the computer but some things need to be install before other things.

Dynamic Group Deployment Issues
Hi, I had a Dynamic Group set up based on whether or not a particular software was installed. This Dynamic Group had 18 computers in it. When I used this group as a target for a software deployment configuration, my configuration went out to over 90 computers as soon as I deployed it. It was as if the configuration completely ignored my target group and instead deployed to all computers. I do not understand why this would happen. Thanks

Clearing Free Disk Space is Critically Low message?

HI, I want to move DesktopCentral database from current server SQL2005 to new server with SQL2012. I tried with backupdb.bat than changedbserver and restoredb but nothing happen. When I start again DC database is still on old server. Any idea?
Configurations fully deploy but status is incorrect
I have been deploying configurations to multiple computers and single computers. Sometimes the Status will show "Executed", sometimes it shows "In Progress", and sometimes it will show "Ready to Execute", and sometimes it won't deploy at all to some computers even though the agent is live and healthy. Working with DC version 90023 as well as Agent 9.0.23W. I thought I read somewhere that the upgrade to this version was supposed to resolve this issue, but I am still experiencing it.

user can't interact with install package
Hi It seems since we upgrade to build 80215 that some of our install packages which require user interaction do not work. There are no prompts appearing on the screen. This used to work. If we go in and manually change the properties of the DC agent service and put a checkmark beside "allow service to interact with desktop" then it works. is this a known issue with this build? is there a fix? (btw this is on Windows XP that it doesn't work)

Writing Binary Registry Values
Hi, Is there a trick to writing REG_BINARY values using Desktop Central? When these values get exported in a registry file they export in the format "SomeRegValue"=hex:12,ef,c0,.....etc I have tried taking the data that comes after =hex: and putting this as my Value Data / Expression but it doesn't work. It looks like Desktop Central is rewriting the values so when they are written to the registry, the HEX values no longer look like they do when they get imported from a .reg file. Is there anyway
