Enterprise Edition - Adding a managed server
Hi, I'm trying to add a managed server to an admin server. I'm getting an error message saying: Connection refused as the Managed Server 10.9.0.11 [9090/443] is not running. The Managed server is ofcourse running, and the SSL port (443) is opened two-ways between both the servers. When I check with wireshark, I see that the admin server tries to contact the managed server with port 9090. And that it fails since it's closed. I cannot, and don't want to, open port 9090 between the servers as it does

Hi, I try to monitore some IBM Websphere application in WAS 6.1.0.7. We work with cluster and the administrative security is enabled and "plugged" on a Microsoft Active Directory. I installed the application perfServletApp as it said in the prerequisites and the PMI is activated. I map the security role on the admin user (ad user) When I test the URL in the help I receive the answer in the attached file. When I configurered the monitor, in the Systemout.log on the server it was: [perfServletApp]

Web client not seen
Hi, I started the Applications Manager in Linux using the respective script (startApplicationsManager.sh). The applications manager has started successfully and also sending out SNMP polls for which it was configured for. When i try to work using the web-client (http://hostname/applications.do) I see nothing. Only a blank page is displayed in IE (In firefox, some java script error is shown). Previously (say a couple of weeks ago) the same URL was opening properly and Applications Manager was working

Hi All, our support helpdesk has reported that they can no longer access the status summary page on our Applications Manager server. They used this feature to perform quick morning checks without actually logging into the App. I have recently updated to Version 8300 sp3. Hi support! I have some ping monitors and i don't have any data about packet statistics. but on the other hand Appmanager collects data about round trip time. I have data and statistics. Why? Appmanager gives this message : "Packet Statistics is supported only if the ping output is in English". In my scenario all pings outputs are in English. Why does not collect data? Incorrect statistics using AppManager8
We're using AppManager 8 version 8.3 but we're getting statistics which can't be correct such as 106.8 cache hit ratio and -16% total log used. Why would we be getting these incorrect figures? Until these are correct we can't trust anything coming from Appmanager

Dear sirs, To display the state of our apps and network, we use a couple of wall-screens so that all IT-employees can monitor network and app health and availability. To incorporate multiple views from different monitoring tools (we use Opmanager as well and some other tools as well) we use a browser with a set of frames of which each frame displays an overview of a different tool. Unfortunately there is no way to show the Plasma View in Applications Manager within the browserframe as it always shows

Oracle Error ... Performance of Datafiles not shown
Hi, We have Application Manager Build 8300 and using Oracle Monitoring. Our database have 2 Oracle SID's in one server and the "Performance of Datafiles" is not shown under Table Space tab. Supposed to be, it should have 20 datafiles as shown in Oracle Enterprise Management. See attachment. I already tried to delete and add again this monitor but still, the problem is the datafiles is still not shown. Kindly please help on this issue on this latest build 8300.

perf reporting problem
I am trying to monitor some linux servers via snmp but it is showing 100% CPU and 99% Memory utilization in Manage Engine Application Manager. We are using version 8 b=, build no 8100. When I use ssh to monitor the same boxes it shows the normal utilization figures. Shailendra

Home View group monitor status not updating
So it appears as though whenever a monitor instead of a monitor group goes down or its health changes, the status of the entire group still shows "green or good" in the home view. Why is this happening? I need to be able to glance at the status without having to look at the number of errors to determine the health of my equipment.
BUG ?: a Web monitor keeps monitoring the old IP address
hello support, my precedent request was about how to change IP addresses of some monitors. it works fine for the server (updateIP.sh) but not for the Web_server monitor associated to them. I did the change by using the shell script. everything is fine when i check the server monitor. but when i check the Web_server monitor associated with the server, he keeps the old IP address. thank you for your help IEC-IT Department

Custom Monitor for OpenVMS
I am attempting to create a custom monitor but am having trouble getting the Telnet Client to work with OpenVMS. When I make a connection to the Server I get prompted for a username, which when entered should be terminated by a carriage return, this is not happening and as such I never reach the password prompt. Is there anyway I can insert a carriage return or indeed any control character at the end of the username and password. Mr Christopher Self
