AM display incorrect status for WebSphere ND monitor
Hello, I'm testing monitor WebSphere ND using AM 8.4. I add a new monitor in Network Deployment type as attached picture AM_WAS_Config.gif. Then AM can get information all cluster members correctly (all clusters are up). After that I stop cluster TWCMem2 (See attached picture WAS_Status.gif for information from WebSphere console) But AM still display that cluster's status is up as attached picture AM_WAS_Status.gif. Why the status isn't correct? I try to setup a new monitor using WebSphere Base type
Unknow reason casue Server DownTime
Dear Support Firstly ,the App Manager is running quite well before. While i noticed that one of the monitor is having some problem recently Attached the screen shot for your reference. The overview of the monitor group show other service within the group is running normally. The web service is proved to be running. While i don't know why the Windows Server Monitor is showing DOWN. Inside the window server monitor . it show the System Health is GREEN. which mean Service UP. While in the Availability
wscript.exe process hanging
I created a Custom Monitor Type and setup 3 monitors that run the vbs script with different arguments. With all 3 monitors managed, the wscript.exe process will hang - no errors on the system, no alerts, no nothing. In addition, Applications Manager will respond extremely slow during this time. How can I tell why or which monitor is failing?
About Event Log monitor (Alert Email with customize Field)
Dear Support We had already using the Application Manager to monitor the event log of our server. And I have already created the rule to monitor specific "Event ID" and "Event Type". It works fine. While we would like to ask whether it is possible to attach the Description of the event inside the Alert Mail. Since i know the application already captured those data that we needed. Custom Monitor
Have successfully created a custom monitor which is displaying information which I would like to see over a period of time. Have enabled reports for the attributes in question but only appear to be able to see information for 6 hours. There is an option for displaying 7 or 30 days but it does not work. Should I be able to see historic information on Custom Monitors? Also, is it possible on a Custom Monitor to define the health of the monitor? Chris Self
User Operator Groups
We added a user as operator and gave the ownership of a group. When they logon to the the Home page they see the message "There are no Monitor Groups owned by you" although if they browse to monitors they can view the monitors in the group they own. Jon Cavallo

Windows Server being monitoried got removed!!!
I had a Windows Server 2003 being monitored, with 4 monitors attached. It just so happens over the last week I've had an app that throws an error in the event log every minute or two, so I was getting emails every minute or two. Yesterday and today I didn't receive any emails and when I went in to check the monitor - I found it missing!!??!! The 4 monitors that were attached are still there, but no the main one. Anyone else have this issue before? This is a major bug. Support information is on the

Hello, I have got an "Exit code is 9009" when I have set and tried to execute a bat file using script monitor, then Output File was not created. I am not sure what happens as when I lauched the batch script by hand it works OK in a Win2003 server. What is the meaning of this message in Apps Manager? Regards kkami

Email settings are not saved
I am using ManageEngine App Manager 8 for evaluation purpose. I am trying to configure mail server via Admin > Configure Mail Server option. I have a local SMTP server running @ port 25 and it does not need authentication. I uncheck "SMTP Server Requires Authentication" and save, the save actually does not happen. The email setting page still has requires authentication and has some crap for user name and password. The send email fails because the authentication credential is not needed by the mail

Patch downloads and "issues fixed"
I noticed on you download page you show build 8.4 or 8400 as the newest patch or download but when I select the " issues fixed" link it shows 8500. Is this release going to be out soon. If so I would rather hold off and then only upgrade once from 8301 to 8500. Thanks Kevin

If I klick the arrow on the Monitors tab, my script type is visible and it says I have 2 monitors of my custom type, which is true. When I click it, it says there are none. I can't find my monitors in the bulk view or any other monitor view either. The only place where they still are accessible and visible are under the monitor group

I was able to get all monitors working as I wanted using WMI only after I disabled windows fireall from my server I am monitoring. If I enable the firewall and open ports 135, 445, and 1025, it fails with "RPC server unavailable". I have been though all the forums and followed all the instructions but no luck. I can not leave the firewall open. Please advise. David Lee

Deleting unused Monitor Types
The environment I am trying to monitor is pretty straight forward. Many of the default monitor types are not used in our environment. How do I remove Application Servers, Java/Transactions, ERP, Database Servers, Servers, Mail Servers, etc. that I am not using? They just clutter up the interface and are wasted space Thanks!
Exit Codes in Windows 2003
Whenever I run a batch file on a Windows 2003 system the ERRORLEVEL returned is always Zero (0). This does not happen with windows XP. This causes the Custom Monitor to consistently fail with various error values.

Hi I am trying to do a custom report on Weblogic Thread but I cant see historic data in the table am_wls_threaddata . After reading some documentation I found that the data is being cleaned/archived after 3 hrs as specified in the table AM_DATACLEANUPINFO . I am in urgent need to publish historic data on all threads that were available in weblogic instance ever i.e right from the time when monitor was installed. Export configuration
I have a bad upgrade from version 7 to version 8. To clean this up i would like to export my current configuration ( devices, Actions, etc) out and do a fresh install then import the config. Is there a easy way to do this? Also if i were to have this scripted so i can have a backup solution of my configuration can you point me in the right direction as well?
Error rounding off
When a report gives 99.98% uptime pie diagram shows 99%. So it doesn�t round it off correct, it just cuts the decimals. I have showed this for Gibu in person so I hope for a fast fix. //Chris Chris Salmi
