What changed in this version? There isn't a changelog for it, but the build and service pack is there. I'm assuming it has to be somewhat of a big change since it jumped from 4572 (minor) to 4580.

ADSelfService Plus Gina agent failing to install
How do I manually install GINA agent on the machines that are failing to automatically pick up the agent? Is there a way of manually run the agent on the machine or maybe deploy it using Desktop Central? Is the agent downloadable?

Using Company attribute from AD in a multi-OU organization
Has anyone found a way to tailor the email notification to a specific domain in a multi-domain Exchange/AD environment? Since ADSelfServicePlus has limited variables and is not able to pull the Company attribute from AD, has anyone used some other method to determine the company business unit (domain) that the message is coming from to tailor the email message. e.g. Dear %userName%, In accordance with corporate network security policy and best practices your password enabling you with login access

Hi, We're about to deploy ADSSP within our organization. I'd like to have a list of error messages, description of, and solution to the issue that the end-user may get, so I can prepare our support organization and documentation. For example, error messages like: "Change password failed", "Password policy failed", "You are required to enroll with Security Question(s). Please login and enroll. Contact your admin in case you don't remember your password", "Permission Denied. Kindly contact your Administrator"
How do I send a test message for password experation to view how it looks?
I am using ADSelfService and want to modify the message a user gets when the password will expire in "X" days. I want to modify it and send a test message to myself. Can you give me th esteps to accomplish this? Thanks, Jerry
SQL and MySQL?
(Currently considering evaluating the product for purchase. Haven't installed it yet.) http://www.manageengine.com/products/self-service-password/system-requirements.html I don't see SQL or MySQL mentioned in some of the downloadable documentation, but I see references to it on the above link. I'm confused... Does the product come with a "built-in database", but perhaps SQL or MySQL should be considered for larger installations?
Mobile App?
Good Afternoon, One of the questions that has come up during out testing is if there is a mobile application for this tool. If not, will it be friendly enough for the user to navigate to the website to reset their password? We would test this, but do not have a proper device for the DMZ at this time. Thanks, Tina

Restict OU
Is there a way to restrict specific OU's from being able to register? I cannot figure out a way withoug having to set as expired or stale account. thanks
Application has not been installed properly (Gina, GPO Installation)
I have a GPO setup to install the GINA client. However after installation I receive an error station that "Application has not bee installed properly". Then a loading screen appears. The same experience is had both pre and post login to the OS.

Possible to run both HTTPS & HTTP services simultaneously?
Hi Guys, I want to continue running the HTTP (unsecured) method for current workstations on the network. and then run a HTTPS secured service so users in another environment (Novell) can access the password portal via the login, As the Novell login GINA (which is required) requires a secure URL. Is this Possible? I checked out the settings Admin > Product Settings > Connection options (screen shot attached) but it seams that you select 1 option or another. Company logo not displaying at logon screen
Within the admin portal, I added our company logo at the rebranding area. It shows up in the top left corner when I'm logged in as the admin, after a user logs in, or within the reset/unlock sections, but it does not show at the initial logon page for users. Am I missing an option somewhere?
Associate a DC to a group or user
Is there anyway you can associate a DC with a group or user? The reason I want to do this is because I would like the user to be unlocked or have their password changed on their local DC and not all of our DCs. The reason for this is that its taking far to long to change the users password or unlock their account on all DC's. Thanks.
How a about a single security question with the user questioned on character xyz?
Users are getting fed up of being asked multiple questions and are forgetting the answers or mistyping them. Banks use their own system of password reset which is much more simple but and the same time secure. If the registered security question is 'What is the first part of the name of the street you live in?' and the Answer is 'Portland' ADSelfservice should ask 'Please enter the 3rd,5th and 8th characters of your security answer?' Obviusly the characters requested would be any 3 random characters

ADSelfService on Blackberry / Mobile Devices
Hello all, just wondering if anyone has had experience with ADSelfService and mobile devices? In particular Blackberry mobile devices? We've recently rolled this out to all our users and one question which keeps coming up is "Can I access the website on my Blackberry?" I've tested on several devices by navigating to the self-service login page however after logging in it just appears to hang on "Loading...please wait" Any suggestions? Thank you
Verification Code adn Pre Enrollment
When using Q&A validation - we can import/pre-enroll employees and import the Q&A's. We need the ability to pre-enroll employees and import the verification code email address. I do not see where we can preload the email address used for verification code validation. Is it possible for us to do this directly to the database or in some other manner? Is that an alternativve version of the enrollment import which can allow import of an initial email address for the validation email and/or mobile

Icon does not appear in gina. I set a 48x48 pixel icon. I scheduled the customization but nothing changes.
How to install an SSL cert from Network Solutions
I tried to follow the instructions within the AD Selfservice application and they did not sem to work. I tried the Comodo one. They also had godaddy and Verisign, but the crt data I had did match any of those instructions.

Unable to install GINA - Fatal Error
Hi there, I'm having difficulty getting GINA installed on several machines in our network. When I run the GINA installer these machines go into the "Error Occurred Machines" section with the following error "Fatal error during installation". Tried installing manually using the ADSelfServicePlusClientSoftware.msi but not able to install that way either...keeps coming up with "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. Integrate SelfServe with Servicedesk
Linking the two together would enable the same set of details to be used in both applications. This would save having to constantly update two sets of data. This is especially important with Users, departments and sites. Allow choice between verification methods when multiple methods are provided
It would be very beneficial if there was an optinon to configure the verification method when using both Q&A verification and Verification Code; the user could elect to use one or the other. ADSelfService Plus ability to have space in mobile phone number.
When using SMS as a way to reset/unlock account it would be good if it was possible to have spaces in the mobile number, as of today if you do have spaces in the phone number no SMS is sent. Also it would be very nice to have the application remove (0) from numbers as well.

Country/Region field - Drop Down Error
Hi On the Self Update Layout when i change the Country/Region field from a single line to drop down the users gets the following error when trying to update their details. Error Code - 80072014 : Data updation unsucessful as per standards set by administrator. Please try other alternatives. On Single line I do not get this error. Any ideas?

Need help on changing the example that is shown when prompted for "Domain User Name". It shows a (Example: Jsmith)" but we use firstname.lastname. Rather not confuse the users. Thanks
issues with IE after 4550 upgrade
after upgrade to 4550 (from 4520) I cannot click with IE 9 the different sections (tabs) inside ADSelfservice. It works with firefox. When I try to click Reports/Configuration/Admin/Support nothing happens. Same for the users. Please advise. Many thanks. Artur

Cannot send notification to OU users
Getting this message when trying to send enrollment message to OU users. User have email address in the relevant field in active directory. Sending to direct email address works The selected container(Domain/OU) is empty i.e. no users found.Please check "Notification Delivery Report" to know if everyone received it or not.

I really need to redirect a url to the one that contains the SSL attached url. I assume you could do this on the webserver portion of the product but unable to figure out how. Any help would be appreciated?
