Automate sending emails to distribution list members
We are wanting to send emails to the members of each distribution list, asking them to reply if they wish to be removed or if the list is no longer needed. The body of the email would have this statement/question and list the name of the distribution list, the email address of the distribution list, and the members of the distribution list. We created a CSV file created from a report in ADManager that lists all of the distribution lists, their emails addresses, and the members of each list. Using

NTFS Reports
Hi I am trying to generate an NTFS Report / Permissions on Folders report, but the permissions are not displayed at all. I know the parameters of the report are correct because I can see it cycling through the folders to the specified subfolder level as the report is being generated. As I said, no results are displayed, but I can see that it believes there are a significant number of rows returned (i.e. 'Showing 1 - 50 of 240'). I have been looking for a way to run a report for all members of a group in AD. These are typically requested for Auditing purposes. Is there some type of report specifically veered towards this? It would be great to have this option.

ADmanager logs display passwords in clear text
Hello, We've just discovered that ADmanager displays changed passwords in clear text in several places. One is on the Audit Report. Another is the log files on the Server where it's installed. This seems like a huge breach in security. Is there a way to to turn this off or at least an option to hash the passwords?
Report output - resizing window
Hi When I run a variety of reports, the output window cannot be resized to show more lines. The default window only display 2 - maybe 3 - lines. Is there a way to manually 'grab and drag' the report window frame to increase the display window? What utilities are available to graph complicated Folder access by multiple groups? We are using Manage Engine Plus to list the folders and permissions for an area on a large file server. For example we need a graphical picture: Security access provided to 18 AD Security Groups over a very large number of nested folders that are at a minimum of 3 levels deep extending to 10 levels deep. What type of access is available to each group at each folder Are there any manage Engine tools that will do this?

I'm trying to use CSV Generator. Following instructions in the help file, I've created a CSV file and browsed to it from the selector. Then I click the Generate button and I get an error: "Invalid Format: Provide sAMAccountName as header" Trying to follow those instructions, I opened the CSV file, put in the value "sAMAccountName" in the first row, and tried to Generate again. Auditing Office Location for against a specific list of acceptable values

The result is that we frequently have AD User Accounts created with an office location that either isn't exactly correct or is entirely incorrect for our environment. I'm currently working with manage engine support on an issue with my instance of AD Manager after a service pack change was made last year. The issue is whenever we attempt to run a group object report it seems to hang like it doesn't finish. The vendor informed me that this is because the product has been modified to perform a domain sync with all group objects in the domain after generating the group report. Good morning! Whenever my help desk techs unlock a user the audit report shows that the account was unlocked by the service account that admanage is using to authenticate to the domain. How can I change this so that it shows the actual tech that unlocked the account? Thanks MC

Why do reports output groups with a space after each
Hi, When we export a report and say, we're looking at the groups someone is in, it provides a list in the CSV but each one has a space after it. This is a slight annoyance as when importing this into Excel you have to remove the space for each. Is this by design ? It's only after the 1st group item, which means you normally get Domain Users,_Group1,_Group2,_Group3 etc.(Where _ represents a space). Any advice or reason for this ? I'd prefer no space myself :-) A

Hi there, I was testing ADManager Plus on a trial basis. I added a custom attribute called "Last Logon Time" using the LDAP attribute "lastLogon" for User reports. I could then select this attribute in the "Password Never Expires Users" Report under Password Reports. Now that I have purchased ADManager Plus, it won't let me create the attribute in my new installation of ADManager Plus. It says the attribute is already in use however I cannot select this attribute in the "Password Never Expires

Hello; My company is currently evaluating ADManager plus. We like the reporting for SOX requirements but were wondering about customization. When I search a directory for users, I cannot find a place to configure directory depth. Say I wanted to move 2 levels past a directory called C:\ABC. Is this option available? Thank you.
Members of Groups report not working correctly
We run a scheduled report to list the members of all the groups in a particular OU. We have noticed however that the report is not listing the members of the groups correctly. For instance we have one user that is a member of a group which we can see in AD but the report is not showing this user as a member of that group. Is this a bug or an issue somewhere else? We are on build 6.3.8.6380 of AD Manager Plus
Scheduled Compliance Report
We would like to be able to schedule a compliance report showing user permissions across multiple servers in the domain. The option is in place to output to the screen, but that requires clicking on "Advanced" to see the actual permissions. Is there a way to output that information to give to our Compliance team? Hello, I am new to ADManager Plus. How can I make a report about share (not ntfs) permissions with nested groups (with listed users) AND export that as a CSV document? I always get a list with groups and then I have to click on permissions? Thats not what i want! We need that share report for recertification and audit! So, is there an easy way to perform that with ADManager Plus?
Server Share Report
I am trying to schedule a daily report that will provide shares and permissions to a group of file servers. I can find the canned report for shares under reports but cannot locate it under Schedule Reports. I do not want to run this manually every time. Am I missing something?
Soon to expire password report
Hello When I run a 'soon to be expired password report', no matter what number of days I set no results come back. If I do a command line ldap query, I get a number results back of accounts with passwords soon to expire. Can any one help please. Regards Colin
Last Logon Location
The AD Report "Real Last Logon" shows when accounts last logged on and the number of times that account has logged on. I do not see a column that lists where the account logged on from. I know this information is in the Security Event Log. Is there a report that would show this along with the last logon time?
