Does AD Manager Plus recognize RODCs?
All; I have a read-only domain controller sitting in a DMZ. AD Manager Plus has the ability to "see" it, but isn't recognizing it as a domain controller. Has anyone seen this? Thanks. Rich
Dashboard stats are wrong
New install of AD Manager Plus, I login and the stats show things like 1639 users, 1601 of those inactive, which is clearly not right. It also shows I have 45 disabled users, even though there are over 400. I've checked to make sure the Domain Settings are correct, made sure I'm on the latest version of software, refreshed the dashboard, rebooted the server, etc. I don't feel like I'm going to get very useful data out of this tool if I can't count on the dashboard to be accurate. Error deleting home folder while deleting User Object
Hello, While deleting a User Object in ADManager, the AD account and mailbox were successfully deleted. However, the home folder does not get deleted and comes up with an error message: 'Successfully Deleted the User.Unable to Delete the homeFolder - The system call level is not correct. - Error Code : 7c .Successfully deleted the user mailbox permanently.The associated user object also gets deleted in Active Directory' Note: Delete policy is setup to delete home folder and mailbox. Please advise.
Bulk User Modification Templates
Is there a way to perform bulk modifications on user modification templates like the user creation templates? We have just as many user modification templates as the user creation ones and it's crazy to have to modify each mod template when making changes like group memberships.

Automation Policy error loading objects.
Hello guys, just upgraded to the latest build (6350) and i wanted to give the automation a go, but in the automation section there's not much happening when clicking things. ( the dropdown menu won't open) Also the "automation policy" section gives me an error. ( an error occurred when loading objects ) Can you help me out? Thanks
Group management VS Group membership view
Hi Is it possible to : - Have write management in a set of group - AND have view rights when using "Search AD objects" when using delegation rights What i already dis : - create a delegartion with "Group attribute" -> add to group - create a technician with a limited scope of group. He can see the all groups via AD explorer , but not via "search AD objects" AD explorer , not very convienent because not search tool :) Thank you Lucien

AD Computer cleanup
I've followed the stepsoutlined in this post to create an automation policy and task which will remove inactive computers. My question is what happens if a computer is enabled and moved to a different OU in the 30 day waiting period before deletion? Several of my techs still use ADUC rather that Manage Engine and I want to make sure Manage Engine is smart enough to see there has been a change and not delete that computer account because of the change. 1 helpdesk technician 2 domains
Hi All, Is it possible to have one helpdesk technician manage/reset passwords in both domains, instead of have 2 accounts for the same person to manager both domains. I know you can check impersonate as admin which will work. But we also have ad audit in which when impersonate as admin is selected, the user that made the change is not logged in ad audit, but rather logged as administrator making the change. Thank you. Is there a way to create users in multiple domains? Case in point: I create users in our domain that may also need an external account for remote access. Instead of doing double work, I would like to set up a template that would create the user name and password that for both of them at the same time.

Terminate user template
Hello. Im having a little trouble finding out how we could automate our termination process: We have a hybrid setup with Office 365. When we disable a user, we need to do 3 things: 1) apply an attribute change to hide the user from the Office 365 address book. 2) Run a custom script for Dirsync to make sure the user can no longer login (we already run the same script in the user creation Template and it works). 3) Move the user to the disabled users OU. How to get data into CSV files for import?
How do you get your data to put into CSV format for new user creation? I want to go from some type of data input form where a manager enters first name, last name, department, phone#, etc. Then that data will be 'processed' to find appropriate values for other fields. Example: These values are entered: Pat Smith Accounting Accountant 123-456-7890 From that information I want to end up with: If Dept = Accounting then Company = Alpha; Email extension = @alpha.com; staff folder belongs in \\alpha\accounting\staff\@username;

ADManager - Autologging into accounts to create Home Folders in File Redirection in Groups policy
We are a school and have hundreds of accounts we set up for exams a few times a year. We have 2012 r2 group policy driven File Redirection set up so all users log in the first time and their home folder structure is created. Unfortunately, this means logging into hundreds of these accounts to do the same for the exams (as we need to load files into the home folders for the students to use in exam conditions. Deleted Computers & Users
When I delete computers and users using AD Mgr, I can go in and restore them. How long will AD Mgr keep those deleted items to where I can restore them? Is there an option to set a retention period, like a recycle bin?
Move, Disable, and Description
Is it possible to Automate the following process? I want to run a scan for all pc accounts that have not logged in for 45 days. Take the reported accounts and Disable, Move to a specified OU. Then change the description of the moved accounts. I can see that you can do all this manually. But when trying to create the Automation all I can do is move and disable. It is missing the Description portion which is important to us as this is allows us to state when the account was disabled by using the description

Group modification permissions
I would like to see more granular role options for allowing our Help Desk techs to modifying specific group attributes in AD Manager Plus for existing groups. For example I may only want them to be able to set the manager for a group. This should be setup with the same breakdown as there under the roles for modifying user objects. Please add this to the next update.

I have the business flow setup and they can request the user to be added or removed, I approve, and the work is performed. Incrementing Usernames
When bulk creating users we use the format for John Smith, SmithJo. Occasionally we'll have a situation where there is a John Smith and a Joanna Smith, resulting in duplicate usernames. Is there a way to automatically increment usernames when there is a duplicate, appending a 1, 2, 3, etc. to the username? This way, Joanna Smith, being created first would be SmithJo, and John Smith would be SmithJo1.

Goodmorning, I am trying to find an easy way to search for users by e-mailaddress. We have about 1500000 users in our AD, so running a report every time and then doing a quick search is not an option. Is there a way to enable a search by emailaddress via the 'Search AD objects' in the top-right corner? If not, is there another option to directly search for an e-mailaddress?
