Issue When Creating Rules for Custom Templates
So I'm having an issue when creating rules for a custom templates. I have a template for creating users and I want to automatically populate the home folder directory field depending on the OU chosen for the specific user. My first 3 rules are working correctly. I noticed that my last 12 rules aren't working. I've also realized that the "select field" dropdown is showing up differently for each the rules that work, compared to the rules that aren't working. For the rules that are working the

Advanced search option for ADmanager plus
Hello, I'm in the middle of moving users Home catalogue from an old server to a new, and implementing DFS in the process. So now im trying to pull an advanced report when i want to include certain OU's. But Exclude some GPO's. I haven't found an advanced search option yet so im pondering if i should pull a report and include all OU and other extra columns, export to Excel and continue to sort it there. It would really be helpfull if there was an advanced search option though. Anyone know how or
How do manager update Membership list
I have assign a manager to a group in order to update the member list. I have also provided a security role to the manager to allow Read/Write of the specific group. But I don't see how the manager can edit the list, unless he has a technical role in the tool. Seeing as there are hundreds of Manager, that would not scale-up, if we needed a technician role for every manager, just to update the memebership of their group. I've looked at the documentation and have not been able to find the steps. Is

User modification using custom template
Hello, I am actually having some issues when I am trying to modify some users of the Active Directory with a custom made user modification template. The thing is that when I am selecting a user from a report for modification and I am choosing my own template, the values that are actually in the active directory are not displayed. But when I use the system template they are actually there. Is there a solution to my problem ? Best regards, CLEVERS Emile
Replacing Group Membership with CSV
I'm at a college and we have adopted ADManager Plus to automate provisioning AD accounts, groups etc from our ERP/SIS. So far things are going well, but I was setting up some group automation today and ran into something that seems will require two scheduled pieces instead of just one. I want to have a group populated with updated membership from a CSV (just contains the sAMAccountName). I figured I could use an Automation Policy and add two steps, one to remove all members and a second to add the
Applying a template to an existing Account
I remember this being discussed a few years ago but it was said that it was on the road map to be an added feature. It, however, never got added. An important feature for AD Manager Plus would be to allow a template to be applied to an existing user account like it during a new account creation process. Is there any idea when this feature will be added. It's been 3 years since this was last discussed.
Reset Password options
We use ADManager 5.2.0 (build 5210) and we would like to know if there is a way to limit what a person can do on the password reset screen? At our company it is common that users must change their password at next logon if they forgot there password. On the right site of the screen it now set to N/A, can we change this to default Yes so that our helpdeskstaff cannot change this?

Punctuation removal frm usernames
Is there a way to remove all punctuation from usernames? I've created a naming format and enabled: remove umlaut accents remove all spaces trim unwanted spaces and dots This work really well for those cases, but we do get users with dashes - in their names and occasionally apostrophes ' in them, and I can't find anywhere to remove them. I've tried adding them to the umlaut accents and replacing them with spaces and hoping one of the other rules will remove the space, but no luck. Perhaps even a feature
Lastname upper with char management
Hello, I'm trying to create a Naming format that transform lastname in upper case, delete spaces and manage special char. Example: LastName: O'Connor Test Naming Format: OCONNORTEST Upper Case and spaces management are OK but I can't find how to delete " ' ". I tried to use the option "Remove umlaut accents, add a new accent removal pattern like " ' " => " " But there is a blank (Result: O CONNORTEST) (the option remove all spaces doesn't seem to work with this rule) How can I handle this? Thanks.
Remove (not replace) character using a naming format
I'm searching for a way to be able to remove some character like the apostrophe from the logonname, email and so on. Technically they are accepted by AD Manager and Active directory but we dont want them. By example if i have the user John D'aléa My current naming format that is first 5 of the last name + first 2 of the first name will provide d'alejo We dont want the apostrophe so i need a rule to remove it so the end result will be dalejo or daleajo I tried doing some replacement with the umlaut

AD Manager and incremental usernames
Hello, I'm testing out ADManager plus and considering buying it to manage our Active Directory. We have an organization of over 1200 users. Our username format is HNxxxxx where the xxxxx are random numbers, e.g. a username could be HN10111. Can this be done automatically so when one of our AD administrators creates a new user, AD Manager Plus will figure out the username by it self without us "interfering"? Best regards

Group list not in any order
Since updating to build 6550, we have noticed a problem with the way groups are displaying in a list. When looking at a user's account properties and then displaying the groups the user belongs to, the list seems to be in a completely random order. Although having the group OU displayed is useful, when the user belongs to a long list of groups, it becomes unmanageable. Can this be displayed in some kind of order, either alphabetic or OU/alphabetic? Thanks, Helen ManageEngine User Group New Zealand

False positives in AD group report
Hi I'm running reports to determine who are members of a couple of groups. I've selected the groups, which I know have x members in, however when I run the report it shows every member of AD in the report, so I cannot determine who is actually in teh group and who is not. It used to work fine, I've not made any changes to the config, so I'm now confused why I cant seem to report on the actual group members Thanks in advance John

In other words, is there a way to change all of the manager setting of Alice's direct reports to Joyce without having to change each user individually? Helpdesk technician reports
Hello, I have actually created 2 helpdesk technicians, one "readonly" and one "admin". Because there are some information that are in the Active Directory that only the "admin" users can view. So I was wondering if there is a way where the readonly user is limited in the fields available to add in the report he is generating. And that the admin user can still view all the fields. I am not talking about the modification templates but about the user reports. Is it possible to manage that through the
Unable to Edit User Creation Rules

Custom attributes
I am actually managing some users in the Active Directory. My users are composed of many custom attributes. So I created several Case Sensitive String custom attributes by modifying the Active Directory Schema. When adding some of my custom attributes, i've chosen DateTime as DataType. But, when I'm using my custom template to add a user using that DateTime attribute, I'm receiving some weird numbers in my Active Directory field. Here are some examples : When entering 2017-03-23, 131346972000000000

Hi, I've few items like Locked Out Users, Disabled Users, etc in the homepage of ADmanager set for all the support persons. But it seems the synchronization of ADmanager with Active Directory is happening only once in 1hour. Since we are planning to deploy ADManager in production, this will affect the real-time work. Is there a way to have the synchronization between AD and ADManager happening every minute? Kindly let me know. Thanks Karthik PS: attachment
