We're trying to configure the mail server for ADaudit to send alerts. However, when I try to send a test e-mail I get this error even though the server configured is not localhost: Send Mail Status :Could not connect to SMTP host: localhost, port: 25 This is on a Windows2012 server.

Session Expiry not working
We have set Session Expiry to 20 minutes under Admin > Connections, however I have come back to my desk after an hour and the session is still active and working.

Problem with audit file feature with Celerra storage
Hi, I'm in the process of evaluating ADAudit Plus. I mainly need to audit a shared folder available through an EMC VNX5300 storage that emulates a CIFS server. Audit is succesfully enabled on storage and SACLS are set for the share, I can see audit logs through event viewer but File Audit Reports are empty. Installing ADAuditPlus
I am trying to install ADAuditPlus on a Windows 2008 R2 Domain Controller. I am getting "A referral was returned from the server" error, with no other info. There is nothing in the logs regarding the install. This error pops up as soon as I click on the EXE. It is a brand new AD install, with a fresh install of 2008 R2 server.

Populating local administrators Group on servers with Group policy preferences. After a while ADaudit triggers alarms "Member '-' was removed from Domain Local Security Group 'Administrators' by 'DOMAIN\SWE-FS1$'." and directly after "Member '-' was added to Domain Local Security Group 'Administrators' by 'DOMAIN\SWE-FS1$'." File Share Auditing Windows 2003 Cluster
We have a Windows 2003 Cluster with 4 file shares on it, the cluster does not show up in options for monitoring of file shares, but the member servers do show up. I added the primary server that currently has the shares in ADAudit and added one of the shares to test it out. The SACL was not applied Windows Error Code 11111. I added the SACL manually via the instructions. After that I clicked run now and after a few seconds I refresh under status it says troubleshoot. I followed all of the steps

Since several weeks AD Audit Plus does not collect event data anymore. The dberror contains the following message: [warning] changed limits: max_open_files: 2048 max_connections: 100 table_cache: 969 I do not know how to change parameters for the mysql database. Hello, I'm currently trying out your ADManager Plus software on a Windows 2008 R2 server. I installed the software with the default options and tried logging onto the console. However, once I click the "Login" button (using user:admin/pass:admin) it just sits there for a very long time and never logs me in. Just some additions I'd love to see in the next release of a great product: Ability to set a default reporting period through the GUI. This is useful in large environments with a lot of events. The default of 24 hrs in some cases can be a very large time consuming (and memory consuming!) report. How to create alert for "DNS Nodes Added" and a question about the Report Categories.
Under Reports > DNS Changes I see a built-in report called DNS Nodes Added. This contains useful data. Looking around I can't find how to create an email alert from this report (or for any report not under "Profile Based Reports). Chnage Default Time Period
Is there a way to change the default time period used for reports such as 'Logon Failures@? It appears that it defaults to 24 hrs. I have had several instances where on my domain we have millions of failures in a 24 hr period. when you click on this report it takes a long time to display as there are so mane events. Also, since there is so much data, the java.exe memory usages soars also. Ideally, I'd like the default reporting period to be 1 hr. I know I could create a new custom report but why
GPO alerts no longer in Standard Edition?
I used to get email alerts whenever a GPO was modified. After updating AD Audit it no longer lets me configure GPO alerts to send emails. There is a message that says "Advanced GPO Alerts are only available in Professional Edition".

Is there a way for ADAudit to send it's alert emails in plain text vs html. I have then sending to a ticket system that does not support html so we have to dig through the message whenever a user is locked out etc.
