Using virtual name for ADAudit
How can I use a virtual name for ADAudit Plus. I would like to use a simple name for the users to connect to. I have already setup a DNS alias to point to the server.

We have Ad Audit Plus running and we can see locked accounts information. Occasionally the Caller Machine Name is \\TMP. Does any one know why we are not seeing the hostname of the device?

Services on "ManageEngine ADAudit Plus" is not running on the old server
Hi support team, I try to migrate ADAudit Plus to a new server 2012 R2 but I ran into the issue. I follow the step on the ManageEnginePitStop (please see attachment). I can't copy an "ADAudit Plus" folder to the new server because "mysqld-nt.exe" (please see attachment) still running and I have no other option to stop it so I force to end task. After I stop " mysqld-nt.exe" I able to make copy over to the new server. Anyway, before I continue to work on my new server, I want to let my older server

Server shares not listing
Hi, We have a server that has a name 15 characters long, when trying to add the server in ADAudit plus only 14 characters are showing, (e.g. "abc-filestore-01" listed as; "abc-filestore-0"), so when we try to list the shares, it comes up with an empty list. Server resolves fine in DNS and the NetBios name shows fine, server has been in service for a few years and all shares are presented to users without any issues. Anyone happen to know how we can get this working?
Purge data and browser compatibility
Hi Couple of questions 1) How can I purge old data without archiving it? At present I only want to keep data for 30-60 days then have it deleted. We have no need for archiving. 2) The interface does not render properly in Chrome, is this a known issue? and is there an ETA to fix it? Thanks

Hi, Is there a way to show the source IP Address (or machine name) of the user who logged on to a server in ADaudit Plus?

Hi, In ADaudit, is it possible to generate a report that shows if the users who logged on has Administrator Privilege. Also, can the tool show what the user did on the server, (for example restarted a service, or created a new email...) Thanks

Moved the database per instructions to SQL server, installed the files needed on the ADaudit server, but when I try to start it I get this error: The ManageEngine ADAudit Plus service terminated with service-specific error %%-1. The wrapper.log file shows Previous start failed. Please, Reinitialize DB and restart server Why is this happening now?

Hello, i'm getting this error in wrapper.log since i upgraded to the latest version. When i reboot the server, the problem is gone for e few minutes. Below is an extract from that log. After server move, Java is crashing
I recently moved my ADAudit install from Server 2003 device to a Server 2012 R2 device. I installed the same version of ADAudit on the new server, then copied over the entire ADAudit folder from old to new server. Now ADAudit will start but Java soon crashes after only about 30 seconds. Login failures in the thousands
We have disabled an admin account and now when I look at the reports I am getting user logon failures 60k plus. I have been through event logs and searched through everything I can think of that would show me where this user is trying to logon. I guess what im trying to ask is how do I get these failures to stop.
Problem when removing a technician
If I add an AD user directly as a technician (let's say admin role), and I then later remove that user and add either an OU or a security group WITH that user within it, I can't log on with this user. The system says it doesn't exist. The only way to be able to log in again with that user, is to re-create the user. At least, this happens in our system.

When I try to update there was a generic error and then if I running the program i have this error: TRYING TO START POSTGRESSQL SERVER FAILED. Able to also search for samaccoutname when specifying user in reports
When searching up an user in i.e. "User Object History" (and all other similar reports where you specify an user), I see that the search input only searches in the "display name". I would like it possible to also search in the SamAccountName-field. We have an Active Directory where the admin users have different "display name" than the "SamAccountName" and because of this, I have to know the "display name" of the user instead of the actual username.
Use a Boolean expression in Quick Search
It should be possible to specify a NOT function in the "Quick Search" feature. For instance using an "!" in front of what you DON'T want to be searched for.
Exclude computer accounts
Like the "Exclude user accounts"-feature, it should be possible to exclude "caller user names" which in fact are computers. We have a lot of entries coming from the Exchange servers and the "caller user name" from AD is "<servername>$".

Migrate existing AD Audit data into SQL?
I originally installed AD Audit well before the SQL backend support was available. I would like to move the data to a SQL server, is there a documented way to migrate my current AD Audit data into a new SQL database?

Using Audit Plus to find Services running with Administrative Privileges
We have a requirement to keep track of Services running under a user with Administrative privileges (rather than just a service account). Does Audit Plus allow you to report these? Thanks in advance for your assistance.
AD Audit continually crashes daily. Same error every time. Support has been unable to resolve.
The same message appears in the wrapper service every time, and AD Audit Plus stops running. Support has connected in twice and supposedly resolved the issue. One found it was a database issue, the other a jar file needed updating and lock file deleted. Issue continues, server requires daily reboot. Hello ADMP support team, I'd like to know whose Account matches the which IP. If I want the current or history of the Successful(or failed) log-on on AD server log-on list with time, which report I have to choose? For example, there was repeated logon and and that account locked. But AD admin could not distinguish which machine(IP) was keep accessing to the AD. We would like to monitoring only events about GPO management. Is it possible to restrict events reading only by events that belongs to GPO management?
All recently created users are not shown
When we look at the "Recently created users" report we only see users that have been created manually by a technician, not the users that have been created automatically by MS FIM, any ideas?
Account Lockout not showing computer hostname
When checking the Account Lockout Analyzer, some locked accounts show no Caller Machine Name for the time the account was locked. Looking through the Windows Event Log yields the same result. A few other times we have seen this behavior the calling machine was a BlackBerry handheld or iPhone trying to connect to our network as the user, but this user has neither device. Is there a way, maybe even outside ADAudit , to tell the calling machine name or IP address?
Using the Advanced Audit Policy Configuration
All of the domain controllers in my domain are 2008R2. Does AD Audit have the ability of leveraging the Advanced Audit Policy Configuration settings that can be set through a GPO? Move MSSQL Database to new Back-end
We have ADAudit Plus running on a MSSQL Database already and wish to move it to a new SQL Server. What is the procedure for doing this? The only one I could find in the documentation was going from a MYSQL/PostSQL to MSSQL. Thanks!
