Opmanager build 8700 - issues adding servers
Just wanted to see if anyone else has had an issue adding servers after an upgrade to build 8700? Specifically that when a server is added, it says "Device added successfully." however the machine isn't actually added to the device collection, and can be re-added over and over again, it almost seems like the database isnt being updated or something similar. just wanted to see if anyone else has come up with a solution, thanks,
import data from old version
We have had an eval of 5.6 running for some time after been supplied by yourself with an extension eval. We have purchased ops, service desk and wifi manager. Is there any way we can move data from ops 5.6 into 6 or will we have to start from scratch.
add f5 LTM to opmanager
hi all, can anyone suggest how to add mib file of F5 LTM in opmanager. After adding the F5 in to opmanager it shows few stats by default but we are looking for detailed ones. Whenever we try to check specific OID it says this oid already exists with F5 LTM XXXX model number which is correct but it does not show any option how to enable those. Hi everybody, how can I deal with a case of two MAC addresses sharing 1 IP address as it happens with network teaming/bondign cases? I tried to import using as file but it complains if I put the two rows. If I import one row at a time it takes only one value. Is this case taken into account in OpUtils? Netflow add-on issue
We are evaluating OpManager with Netflow add-on. After installation and logged in to OpManager, I received following error when I select NetFlow Traffic Analyzer module in Op Manager. HTTP Status 404 - /netflow/jspui/dashBoard.do type Status report message /netflow/jspui/dashBoard.do description The requested resource (/netflow/jspui/dashBoard.do) is not available. MIB Upload - Error Parsing
I have uploaded a MIB for our watchguard mail appliances but when accessing the attached MIB get the following error: Error parsing MIB:BORDERWARE-SMG-MIB.txt Exception while loading MIB:Could not parse the file D:/PROGRA~1/MANAGE~1/OPMANA~1/./mibs/BORDERWARE-SMG-MIB.txt. The error occured at the line no: 91 ,column: 5. The 'ASSIGNMENT' or 'DEFVAL' keyword may be missing. or In case of table entry, the ACCESS value may be other than 'not-accessible'. Incorrect values on Windows 2008
Hi Everyone, We recently migrated our file server over to Windows 2008. I've got SNMP installed and configured the same as I do on other servers. When I test the credentials they pass. However I noticed Op Manager is giving two incorrect readings about the device. 1. Op Manager reports the disk utilization at 100%. The server has 2 drives. One is 140 Gigs with 114 free, and the other is 2 Terabytes with 1.7 free. Where is the 100% coming from? 2. Oddly enough, when I add the monitor for Op Manager
OPmanager keeps on twittering
Hi, We have tested with the Twitter function of Opmanager 8720. We are finished, and we like to stop it. We have removed the notification profile from all monitored objects. We have deleted the notification profile. We have run a mysql command to remove the twitter login and pass from OPmanager. But stil our firewall repors OPmanager sending messages to Twitter: https://twitter.com/direct_messages.xml?since_id=0&?since_id=0& How can we stop OPmanager from contacting Twitter ? Thanks to Mike, Gabriel, Sunil and Muthu for getting all of our non Windows boxes to report correctly. I had been searching for a host resource file which works with all our non Windows servers (AIX, HP UX, Solaris and Linux). But none of them worked in correctly reporting CPU, Disk and Memory utilization on all platforms. There are a lot of repeat posts on the Opmanager forum with no solution posted after the issue has been resolved. The attached file worked for me, finally! Thanks!
Is there a Database Schema (including only the most important tables) available like there is for ServiceDesk Plus?

Is the second time I saved a new Business view and after two or three days, the opmanager renamed my map to UNNAMED and I lost my backgroud image. No I can open the business view on edit mode but I can´t rename the map and I can´t change the backgroud Image. How can I solve that? Thks
Number of connections to each database using MSSQL monitor dashboard?
Right now the dashboard gives only a total number of database connections to the server and it does not break down the number of connections to each database. My MSSQL server has 20 databases and I would like to monitor how many connections there are to each of them. Is this possible?

Clear syslog event
Hello We are using demo version of OpManager and trying to make clear event for syslog message. Our devices sometimes send messages about EIGRP events. Monitoring ESX and VM through Firewall and NAT
Hello to all, I recently update to sp7 - monitoring ESX Server feature is great and I had added all ESX server. I monitored these ESXs through gateway / NAT and therefore VM hosted on ESXs are not pingable (because of firewall and because of NAT). So Alarms are fired and ESX are displayed in red whereas there is no specific issue. Is there a way to disable these specific alarm ? How can I do that ? Thanking you in advance sebastien

SNMP Table Issue
I'm trying to add 3 monitors to monitor the load on an APC PDU these are 3 phase power units therefore there are 3 values i want to look at. if i look at OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.12.2.3.1 in the Power-net MIB i get a table of data for the three phases, if i dig down further into the table and use OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.12.2.3.1.1.2 i get a return of the following: rPDULoadStatusLoad.1:-->23 rPDULoadStatusLoad.2:-->19 rPDULoadStatusLoad.3:-->22 which is the load on each leg. Hi, I have these MIBs for my Sun 7210 Storage device, but I don't really know what to do with them. Do I upload them using the MIB Browser? Or do I copy them to the Opmanager\mibs directory? And once I do that, will Opman automatically recognize my device, or do I still have some configuring to do? I would like Opman to recognize the device when I add it, and also notify me of any traps that the device sends. I've attached the MIBs so you can include it into future releases..

Good day I can't insert the value of SNMP community. On our network employs about 300 network devices. SNMP community = alanet + *. Inserting the value "alanet + *" in the "Admin"> "Credential Settings"> "Credential Library". CPU not able to be monitored.
Hi All, I have got this tool into our organization recently amd i am new to use it. I have some clarification while adding a server and adding it to be monitored for CPU utilization. when i click on the add monitor and if i add disk,CPU and memory utilization i can see only disk and memory utilization but not able to see CPU being monitored. I know the question has been asked here but I didn't see much of a good answer. I am evaluating OpManager for a client and they would like BES Monitoring as well; when I discovered the server, it did not "add" BES as a service so I assume this is not "out of the box". Netflow plugin
I set up a router to export flows before I added the snmp community string to the config. So the router name is showing as the IP address and the interface names are IfIndex1 and IfIndex5 while viewing in the Netflow plugin. I added the snmp string to the router config, and discovered the router in OpManager. The interface and router names appear fine in OpManager, but they still show up as IP address, IfIndex1, IfIndex5 in the Netflow plugin. I want the descriptive names in both OpManager

CPU utilization alarms on multi-core processors
Since we upgraded to the most recent version of OpManager (8.7, I believe), CPU utilization alarms are sent for each processor core, so I'm getting 8 alarms for a server with two quad-core processors. The previous version just sent an alarm based on the aggregate utilization for all CPUs on the server. Is this configurable in the new version to revert back to the previous way of sending one alert?
Business View Restrictions
When I create a read-only user and restrict them to a specific business view (which we use to allow our hosting customers to see the status of their devices), I can still see links at the top right of the page such as: About (shows our company name and license details -- I don't want a customer knowing these) Register (allows them to upload a new registration file -- I do NOT want this to happen!) So, how can I stop those links from showing up when it is a "restricted" user?
