Hello OpManager support team, How can I monitor the device under 1 minute interval? I tried the agent but it was not the real-time agent like other monitoring tools' agents. I was expecting the real-time CPU or other monitoring parameter which OPM can monitor with CLI/WMI/SNMP. As I know so far, it monitors only the logs. (is this include the EventLog?) So, I'm trying the SNMP Traps and Syslog for real-time anomaly monitoring but it is quite hard to configure the each devices. Actually
Monitoring satellite links?
We use Nagios today for monitoring satellite links to ships. In Nagios we are able to adjust the time out to be very long. This is necessary as the response time can be very slow. Is it possible to adjust these values in OpManager to be able to monitor this type of links? Best Regards Thomas
Delay trigger on VM performance monitors?
Is there a way to put a delay trigger on the VM Performance monitors? I would like to be alerted if a CPU is pegged at 100% for 5 min + on a server, but I don't need to get an email every time a server blips over 90% for 2 sec. With 500 + server it just means I get a constant stream of alerts. I see a way to do it on the WMI monitors, but monitoring at this level isn't as accurate.
Question for Wake-on-LAN
Does OpManager support the Wake-on-LAN? It seems OpUtil supports it. How about OpManager. If any of them supports, is it works on Linux and Unix? Best Regards, Sangchul Jung
If SSL 2.0 is disabled on a server am i now unable to use URL monitoring?
Hi, We have just disabled SSL 2.0 on one of our servers which we were monitoring a https website. Since then OpManager is reporting that the website is down when it's up and running without any issues. Regardless for http, https, full server name and domain and ip address it has the same issue. I'm just looking for conformation that nothing can be done and i'll just need to monitor the world wide publishing service from now on or something can be done? Thanks D

HI We had a fall in a URL that was in down and after sometime the same returned to the UP state but the graphics appear with a status of down. What would be the reason and the solution?
Graphic Datastore
Hi In some VMs graphic Datastore not appear in History Reports. What would be the reason?
Notification profile disk space only.
Anyone got a good working mail-notification-profile on disk space use ONLY. eg. like over 90%. Problem is, you have to use(afaik) 'violate any threshold value' so you get an mail for ANY violation. We had to start filtering at our mail system, dropping all but those concerning disk space. Then we process incoming mail in our separate-eventsystem to create disk-event-workorder. Can easily put unnecessary load on our systems.
Monitoring HP V1910
I am attempting to configure a few common monitors on some HP V1910-48G and HP V1910-24G switches. I have been able to find the monitors for CPU Usage, Memory Usage, and Temperature which are: HP v1910 CPU usage .1.3.6.1.4.1.25506.2.6.1.1.1.1.6.8 HP v1910 Mem usage .1.3.6.1.4.1.25506.2.6.1.1.1.1.8.8 HP v1910 Temp .1.3.6.1.4.1.25506.2.6.1.1.1.1.12.8 I am having trouble finding OIDs for a few others such as Jabber, Number of Fragments, Total No. of Collisions, etc..and also the MIB needed to monitor
How can I start the OpManager on Linux?
Hi, I'm trying to start the OpManager on Linux. After sh ./StartOpMangaerServer.sh, there was a hang after "Created table PROTOCOLDETIALS" and it does not works. After that, I have to go for Ctrl+C and tried the startOpmangaerserver.sh but now it hangs at inside add check. I'm using the CentOS 6.4 64 bit. Best Regards. SC Jung

Can't start ManageEngine OpUtils service
Hi, I have recently updated from OpUtils 6 to OpUtils 7 following the steps you recommended via email. Done great! Today, because of an automatic update (I think), the OpUtils stops working unexpectedly. I tried to restart de service several times e nothing. Can't take backup before upgrading Service pack.

OpManager 10 backup? How?
We upgrade OpManager form 9410 to 10000 and see that backup procedure was changed. If earlier was universal BackupDB.sh which made full OpManager's backup. Now there are some scripts and subdirectory /fileBackUp where is script BackupDB.sh. Phone Call for notification
Is anyone using any type f service or cloud based product to send a notification to a phone? I'm currently using zapier.com and twilio.com to call me and read me the email notification. Which works well but zapier has a 15 minute delay (5 min for paid version at $50 a month). i'm looking for a better solution. Would like a phone call right away not wait 5 to 15 min to be notified. Add interface to switch problem
Hi, since v11.100 we cannot add interfaces to a switch anymore. When you discover, select one interface, click safe, you get a popup the interface is going to be added. But looking at the interface list, it isn't added. We now have two seperate 11.100 installations which has exact the same problem. We need to add interfaces, is there a fix?

License Issue
We moved Opmanager installation on other server with a full backup restore, after that we have the license expiring message. Also we tried to renew the registration trough the xm licence file, but without any success. Could you help us to solve this issue, we have a valid AMS but we can't access the support portal (support.opmanager.com) with the provided credential. Thanks in advance.

cisco cat4849e buffer hits misread
Hi, There is a issue with the default medium and big buffer hits for cisco cat4948e. For instance a) OID: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.34.0 is assigned to the default monitor "Big Buffer Hits". Mib browser GET gives the real value while the monitor test responses with value "0". b) OID:: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.26.0 - "Medium Buffer Hits" monitor also gives 0 where #show buffers on the switch and mib browser both give n-value. Problem with monitoring a device
Hi, I'm needing help how to trobleshooting the monitoring system relation to devices. Any devices on my company has been monitoring. However, others hasn't. The devices that hasn't been monitoring, the SNMP service is running. However, the monitor didn't monitoring the servers. Alarm not clear after hitting rearm value
Hi, I received an alarm for Memory utilisation. I have rebooted the server, and the memory utilisation is reduced. It is also shown in the device snapshot screen - the Memory Utilization meter. But the alarm is not cleared, although it has reach the rearm value. May I know why? Thanks.
OpManager Instability
Hello! In my enterprise core, the OpManager has been suffering a instability when I try to connect a specific server monitored by its. I've logged in server itself. The connect is okay, but I don't know what test I can do to know and to solve this problem. - The log in system is okay, - the monitoring system is okay also, - only the web interface has suffering a little delay to stablish the page. AD group and business views
Hello. Can a business view be assigned to an AD group? A business view can be assigned to an AD user, but the problem is that the "Authorize AD Group Users" menu doesn't have this option. It's very inconvenient to add each user to the system and assign a business view to them, and also we don't want so that everyone could see all the servers and other monitored systems Build: 11100 Thank you.

HP ML350 G6 Hardware Monitoring
Hi, We have just installed OpManager to monitor our servers on our remote sites. We can see in the HP Home Page on each server that the HP Management Agents are installed and show all the information about the hardware such as RAID controllers, Physical Disks, Fans, Power Supplies etc. The SNMP community strings in the HP tools are set from the SNMP service on the server with the OpManager server as the Trap destination. However we can only see the Power supply, temp and Fans in the OpManager

OpManager doesn't start after installation
Hi all, Just tried to install the demo version of OpManager. Installation seems to be succesfull, no errors or anything else. But OpManager fails to start. I tried installing in through the One Click option and the Advanced option. Both with no luck. I'm installing it on a Windows 2008 R2 Server, with SQLExpress. Spercific WMI counters not working
Hi all, I am having issues with the Disk read/write bytes and disk queue length WMI counters. Add more devices to Ping
Hi, Good Evening. I would like to perform ping test from a device to many other ip based device. Currently i could see ping test happens with only the devices which are added in the OpManager. But, as like URL Monitors under Admin page, i want to know whether OpManager has an option to add IP address to have a continues ping test and alert if it is not responding. Thanks in advance. Custom reports
Hello, Is it possible to create totally customized reports with Opmanager? I would like to have a daily report that contains certain traffic graphs from different (types) of devices as well as cpu usage and some custom graphs. It would be nice to be able to just select some graphs to display and type some header above it to explain the graph below.

Netapp stats
Hi, The volume stats (volume size, available space...) that Opmanager pulls in for my netapp fas 3020c are completely wrong, completely different values than what the netapp device provides through the ssh command line. Can someone please advice. Perhaps there is a better compatible MIB that someone knows of. Thanks
