OpManager and Servicedesk same machine
Hi Everyone, A long time ago I used to run OpManager and ServiceDesk Plus on the same virtual machine. There was something I had to change in the conf file though to get it to work. Otherwise what happens is OpManager keeps logging me out. I did a little searching but most of the posts I found are very old. Can this still be done with the newest versions of OpManager and ServiceDesk Plus? On an unrelated note, is there a way to change the email associated with this forum ID? I don't have the address
Dell PowerConnect 62XX MIB Problem
I am trying to compile Dell PowerConnect 62XX MIBs for upload in OpManager. I have used two MIB compilers and received the following error when I attempt to browse the MIB: Error parsing MIB:FASTPATH-SWITCHING-MIB.smidb Exception while loading MIB:Not a valid MIB file : C:/MANAGE~1/OPMANA~1/./mibs/FASTPATH-SWITCHING-MIB.smidb I will attach the MIB files that I downloaded from Dell for my current firmware version (3.3.5.5). Alarms Not Clearing
I added my Cisco routers to the system and then setup the email notifications. To test the notification process, I modified the threshold on one of the monitors so that it would send me my test email. This process did work, but when I cleared the alarm and then turned off the threshold option, the system still states that a monitor is in error even though the router shows no alarms (Clear). Hi I'm trying to change the Utilization threshold for multiple interfaces on a switch and I'm having trouble doing it. I have been to Admin - Device Templates and select the correct template but there is no way to edit the threshold that I want. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
Performance Monitor
I have created a performance monitor for a QNAP device, when I attempt to click the monitor to view 'Free Disk space' for example it is not a clickable link. If I edit the monitor and click the test button it works and shows the the relevant information.

Hi there, As the subject says. For example, a server has several network connected to it (different subnet of course), is there an easy way to somehow setup an email alert if the interface is down? I know that I can always "add a device" using each of the interface IP address but that would give me 3 duplicates of the same server. Thank you in advance.
Cluster Shared Volume Disk Space Monitoring?
Hi, I am running OpManager 9.0. Is it possible to monitor the disk space for a Hyper-V failover cluster CSV disk (cluster Shared Volume)? If so can anyone provide further information? I already have a powershell script that will list the free space, used space and percent free but I want to be alerted in OpManager when the threshold falls below 100GB (attention), 75GB (trouble), 50GB (critical). HyperV guest discovery failed since 11.1 update
Hi, I recently updated to OpManager version. Since the update, the guest VMs on our HyperV servers are not showing in OpManager. I have tried re-discovering and deleting and re-adding the hosts but they still do not appear. Our VMware hosts are all still displaying fine. Has anybody else experienced this issue? Does anybody have a fix for it?

opmanager Plug-in IPAM, server migration
I'm moving opmanager and the oputils plug-in to a new server. I've got opmanager running on my new server, but the oputils plug-in is giving me some problems. Current Installation: OS= 32Bit Win2k3 New Installation: OS= 64Bit Win2k8r2 On my production 32bit machine, oputils uses the Firebird database. Hi, I am using the evaluation of OpManager and NCM. When I try to backup the config from a device, It says 'Backup failed - failure response'. The error details say 'Device response not available.'. Create an notification when a switch discards packets
I think my question is simple so I'll keep it sort. We monitor our core switch with OpManager. This works great. If i go to an interface I'll see the load and bytes transferred etc. I see the errors and discarded packets as well. When a switch discards packets, I would like to receive an e-mail. However, I cannot find the right notification profile for this particular error. I've tried to setup a threshold which keep an eye on the discarded packets but I am unable to find the right monitor... What

When I click on Test Actions button in the Configuration Profiles screen for my email alerts it comes up with this error. Exception occured while executing Send Email action. Hi, How do I configure the login details of a device in order to monitor event log? Because when I click on "Event log rules", the message "Windows event log monitoring could not be enabled for this device. To enable windows event log monitoring, you have to configure an administrator username and password for this device. I have obtained the dell storage mibs, but when I attempt to create a template I get an error reporting 'Device cannot be reached check the SNMP parameters'. This is despite them being correct. Monitoring Spanning Tree links
We have a set of Ethernet switches in a ring using STP, and I would like to monitor the interfaces so that I can detect failures of the links. The method that I am considering is to monitor the two interfaces that connect the ring on each switch (using .1.3.6.1.2.1.17.2.15.1.3) and alert if one of them goes to the disabled(1) state, as in normal operation they will either be forwarding(5) or blocking(2). My questions are: Is there a better way to achieve what I want to do? If this is the best way
email notification stops sending
hi support, We encounter an issue when a device trigger an alert and there is no email notifications sent. We tried to restart the server and notice when we restart it sends email alert but for only for a while then it stops sending again. I confirm that my configurations on email and notification profile is OK. I confirm that i can connect to the mail server (telnet port 25) even nslookup on the addresses is OK. Please advise. Folder Monitor File Count
I am doing a file count in a folder. The count works fine but there are normally no files in the directory. I am getting an "attention" alert that no files match the pattern. Is there a way to suppress this alert? I do not need any type of alert unless there are files in there. I have the threshold set to 1 and the rearm set to 0.
