How do I get more information from Email Alerts?
We are currently getting email alerts while we are monitoring for any application error. I am wondering if there is a way to get more information in the email? For example: the Source of the error, the event ID or a snippet of the event details for the error. Thanks in advance for any feedback.
MSSQL Job Status: Failed, "No Status or -", successful * HELP *
Hello, I need help yet again! :) I have another situation! We just ran into an issue where our server is showing that there is no issue but in actuality we have a critical job that failed. Here is what is going on: - We have a Critical job that fails at 10 pm. The status of that MSSQL monitor is Critical/RED. (This is perfect) NOTE: AppManager see the status as a "failed" - At 6am AppManager POLLS the MSSQL server and finds no SQL job information. The job status does NOT exist and is Blank

MS SQL job failure Error: How do I get the message associated with that failure
Hello people, In App Manager I would like when a SQL job fails the email alert sent has the actual reason the job failed. This is stored with in the execution message of the job. For example if a job fails due to disk space it would be nice to know that via my email alert. Please let me know thanks! Steve
query to find email action associated with monitors
I have to track down each email action and see where it is used in the monitors. I was hoping you could find this association through a sql query. Can any one help me write such a query to run under support->db status tool to get a list of monitors and the email actions that are associated with their alarms?

Health Status of MS SQL Monitor - All jobs setting group to critical ??
Hi, I need some help. I have MS SQL Monitors that I want to monitor certain MSSQL Jobs and need only those important SQL Jobs to affect the Health Status of group. As of now all if any of the jobs fail the health status becomes critical. I do NOT want this to occur. I need only specific jobs to affect the health status. I have tried setting the dependent attributes, using the steps below but it doesn't seem to work? 1. Please go to the MSSQL monitor. 2. Click on the configure alarms link below

Auto Generated Alert Emails Attachment Option
Hi team, Apologies in advance if this has been answered already as I did do a search first and found nothing. Currently at work we are using Application Manager 10 to monitor a bunch of server side processes via custom script monitors. I currently have appManager 6 installed and monitoring tomcat instances. I have installed appManger 7 on a new machine but unable to collect tomcat data getting the "Error while collecting data from Tomcat Server" error. Refresh attribute value in alarm screen
Hi, We have observed that the alarm screen shows the attribute for each alarm that appears , with their value at the time of the alarm, BUT the value is not updated until changes the severity level. Monitoring Vmware Server Hardware? Hard Drives
Hi, I have setup a monitor group for my VMware 3 host cluster in order to monitor the host servers for hardware errors. These are HP servers. I can see that monitoring appears to be working; but it does not appear to display the Disk Health for my servers. It only shows Power, Fan, Temp, Processors and Memory. It shows the Datastores and Disk I/O for VMware but not the underlying health of the hard drives. Is there a way to view the health of the individual disk drives?

Hello, I'm currently running a trial of AppManager 11. Everything seems good apart from 2 specific things I'm trying to monitor. I have a Hyper-V failover cluster and I need alerts when the Cluster Shared Volume runs low on space, I can't see a way of doing this. The port on which Applications Manager PGSQL database runs change. Is it normal? We have an external application to query the Applications Manager for that can not be done directly with the tools provided, and they failed because the PGSQL port changed with the last computer restart. Thanks

Hi, We would like to make a report vía SQL (PostgreSQL database). Our report is a mix of the SLA report and the "Availability and Health History Report for All Monitor Group". We have found the SLA tables, and the Outages tables, but we don't find the tables where the "warning/critical Duration, Count, From and To" info from the report "Availability and Health History Report for All Monitor Group" are stored. Creating Templates for Multiple Servers
Hello, Can someone please tell me if it is possible to create Templates with Multiple Monitors such as IIS, Windows Performance Counters, Windows Servers, etc and Apply them to Multiple Servers. We have multiple front end servers that essentially serves the same purpose and it is really difficult to maintain same set of thresholds on all those servers if it is done manually. hello, I have this problem with OpManager and configure the plug-in ApManeger. I have to monitor my vmware cluster. all hosts are detected properly but the VM powerd off continnuano to report errors. I have selected the VM from "Monitors> Virtual Machine - Bulk Config View" and I selected "unmanaged and reset status" and the alarm disappears, but after a few minutes (next to pool) machines are re-recorded and put on alert. meadow in the command "unmanaged" seems not to work. tips? Ability to select SQL Jobs vs. All
We would like the ability when adding a SQL Monitor in AppManager to be able to select which SQL Jobs are monitored for Health/Availability vs. the default settings of the monitor which pulls in all SQL jobs. This would allow you to only monitor and alarm on business critical jobs versus alarming for jobs that have zero business impact or are only ran infrequently. Thoughts? Thanks, Scott
