The purpose of upgrading ADAudit Plus using PostgreSQL is to improve security, performance, and compliance. The upgrade brings in new features, fixes known issues, and makes the application more stable. It also helps the tool work better with updated IT systems, improves auditing, and reduces security risks. In addition, it enhances database speed, makes reports faster, and ensures a smooth user experience while meeting compliance requirements.
Access to the server where ManageEngine ADAudit Plus is installed.
A user account with full control permissions over the ADAudit Plus installation directory is required to perform the upgrade.
Navigate to the ADAudit Plus installation path and zip the entire folder <Installation_Directory>\ManageEngine\ADAudit Plus.
Open Command Prompt, navigate to <Installation_Directory>\ManageEngine\ADAudit Plus\bin, and execute the command backupDB.bat.
For build 7260, click here to download the required certificate.
For build 7270 or later, click here to download the appropriate certificate.
Click Browse to locate and import the downloaded certificate file.
After importing the certificate, click Browse again to select the relevant PPM file.
Click Install to proceed with the upgrade.
Ensure that a snapshot of the ADAudit Plus server is taken and available prior to initiating the upgrade process.
If the upgrade fails due to unexpected errors, corrupted files, or compatibility issues, the snapshot allows you to roll back the system to its exact state before the upgrade. This minimizes downtime and ensures business continuity.
