How to update workflow credentials in EventLog Analyzer

How to update workflow credentials in EventLog Analyzer

Objective

This document explains the process for updating credentials used in previously configured workflows within EventLog Analyzer. When workflow credentials become invalid—due to password changes, account updates, or security policy requirements—administrators can manually update them to restore normal operation. This ensures the continuity of automated tasks and maintains the reliability of alert-based responses within the system.

Prerequisites

  • You need administrative access to Eventlog Analyzer.
  • Ensure the workflow credentials have the required permissions.

Steps to follow

Step 1: Log in to Eventlog Analyzer as an administrator.
Step 2: Navigate to Alerts and click the Settings icon > Workflow.

Step 3: Click the Workflow Credentials link in the Manage Workflow page.
Step 4: Select the appropriate credential type that you are looking to update.
Step 5: Enter the usernamepassword, and other relevant details based on the Credential Type.
Step 6: Click Add to store and use these credentials to execute workflows.

Tips

  • Invalid credentials or API tokens can cause workflow failures and failed logon attempts.

  • Always update credentials after password or token changes.

  • Monitor the workflow status to catch issues early.

  • Ensure the account used has the required permissions; this can be verified by testing the workflows.
