How to Monitor ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus (SDP) On-Prem Front-End Performance Under ManageEngine Applications Manager
- In Applications Manager, go to New Monitor > Real User Monitor > Provide the URL of your ServiceDesk Plus instance and complete the monitor configuration.
- Go to the RUM Monitor Details page > Click the Copy Script tab > Copy the entire RUM snippet.
- Log in to your ServiceDesk Plus instance using an Administrator account.
- Navigate to: Settings › Developer Space › Page Scripts (The Page Scripts section allows you to inject custom JavaScript into SDP's application pages for specific users or all users).
- Configure a new Page Script rule as follows:
- Select Applies to all users — this ensures the RUM script is injected for every user session and all monitoring data is collected.
- Set to trigger event on "All" pages.
- In the Actions section of the rule, select Execute Script > Write Custom Script.
- Paste the RUM JavaScript snippet you copied from Applications Manager into the script text area.
Note: Remove the wrapper <script> and </script> tags in the snippet— SDP handles the script injection automatically. - Save the rule
RUM script will be injected into every page that end users access. User activity will begin appearing in the Real User Monitor dashboard in Applications Manager. If the RUM monitor does not show data after completing the above steps, refer to the general RUM troubleshooting guide.
