How to integrate ADManager Plus with Zoho Desk

Overview

Zoho Desk is a one-stop ticketing software for all types of business, starting from start-ups to large enterprises. It helps manage and provide for customer requests efficiently. Enterprises can leverage multiple benefits when Zoho Desk is integrated with ADManager Plus, you can enable, modify and unlock Zoho Desk user accounts, automate workflows and trigger the execution of a sequence of tasks after a particular event in Zoho Desk and delete those user accounts if required to save time for admins.

Steps to integrate ADManager Plus with Zoho Desk

  1. Log in to ADManager Plus.
  2. Navigate to the Automation tab and click Application Integrations.
  1. Under Enterprise applications, click the Zoho Desk tile which is a pre-integrated application.
  1. Toggle the Enable Zoho Desk configuration button on to use the Zoho Desk integration.
  2. Basic details under the Zoho Desk Endpoint configuration tab and other subsequent fields are pre-filled.
  3. Copy and save the Callback URL in the clipboard  as you will need it while configuring the OAuth app.
  4. You only have to fill in the Client ID and Client Secret fields once the OAuth app is configured in the Zoho Desk. The steps to configure the OAuth app can be found here. Copy and paste the Client ID and Client Secret from the OAuth app and then click Configure.

 

Note: The pre-populated configuration values provided in the Auth URL, Access Token URL, Scope etc. retrieves all user information using the Repeat calling this endpoint option, where a maximum of 25 task details per API call are fetched till the value in the endpoint is "data". More, we can also get the user information from the ticket details in Zoho Desk. For more details about this refer to this API documentation. 

  1. Click Test and Save.

  1. On successful configuration, the structure of the response data will be displayed. Now, click Proceed

 

  1. Finally, map the LDAP attributes with the appropriate Zoho Desk attributes in the Attribute Mapping section.

Steps to obtain Zoho Desk Client ID and Client Secret: 

To get the client ID , redirect UR and secret, follow the steps below:

  1. To begin, visit the Zoho API console page.

  1. Click GET STARTED and choose Server-based application.

  1. In the subsequent window that pops up, fill in all the details such as Client name, Homepage URL. In the Authorized Redirect URIs field paste the Callback URL you copied from ADManager Plus. Refer to the step no: 6 given here for the Callback URL.

  1. Now click Create to find the Client ID and Client Secret, so that you can add those under Authorization details in ADManager Plus.
