To configure and enable user session recording in ADAudit Plus, allowing you to monitor, record, and securely archive RDP and console sessions on selected Windows servers for enhanced auditing, accountability, and compliance purposes.
You must have an account with administrative privileges in ADAudit Plus.
The ADAudit Plus agent must be installed on all target computers where sessions will be recorded.
Target computers must run Windows Server 2008 or later.
Sufficient disk space should be available on the ADAudit Plus server for storing video recordings.
The ffmpeg utility must be downloaded and configured in the ADAudit Plus installation directory to enable session video capture.
Go to <extracted_file_path>\ffmpeg-N-104704-ge22dff43e7-win64-gpl\bin\ffmpeg, copy ffmpeg.exe, and paste it into the ADAudit Plus bin folder (<product_installation_path>\bin\).
Log in to the ADAudit Plus web console using an account with administrative privileges.
Navigate to the Configuration tab > Configured Server(s) > User Session Recording.
In the domain dropdown, select the domain containing the computers you want to configure.
Click on Add Servers.
In the pop-up window, search for and select the computers you want to enable recording on.
Click ok to include the selected computers.
Navigate to the reports tab, select user session recording reports, and confirm that a recording is created.
Periodically monitor disk space usage to ensure sufficient capacity for storing session videos.
Adjust retention settings to comply with your organization’s audit policies and regulatory requirements.
Use filters in the user session recording reports to locate specific sessions quickly.
