Prerequisites
You must have administrator access to the ADAudit Plus web console.
The server name of the workgroup server(s) you wish to add.
The username and password of a local administrator account on the workgroup server.
Network connectivity between the ADAudit Plus server and the workgroup server.
Steps to follow
Open the ADAudit Plus web console.
Click the Server Audit tab from the top menu.
Under Configured Server(s) in the left-hand menu, choose Workgroup Servers.
Select + Add Server in the top-right corner.
In the Server Name field, type the name of the workgroup server. Use a comma to separate multiple values.
Provide a local admin User name and Password for the workgroup server.
Set the Event Fetch Interval.
Choose the Role for the server (e.g., Added as File Server, Added as Member Server).
Note: If "File Server" is selected as the role, you must also select the shares to be monitored.
Check the box for Configure audit policy.
Click Save.
Validation and confirmation
After saving, the newly added server will appear in the list on the Workgroup Servers page.
The Status column should update to show a successful connection, and the Timestamp of Last Event should reflect recent activity.
Tips
Ensure the local admin credentials provided have the necessary permissions to read the security event logs on the workgroup server.
Verify that firewall rules on both the ADAudit Plus server and the workgroup server allow for the required communication.
