Server HDD full and NF not able to restart
I am running Win2k, 2.8ghz with 2gig of ramm. The 60g hard drive I am using filled up with the setting to one day. I cannot get the software to restart. Is there a way to keep the hard drive from filling up? Should I set it to 6 hours? Is one day too much information for a 60g drive? How can I get the NF software to start running again so I can change this value? Thank you in advance for the help. Contracts on call
It would be usefull to link a contract to a call (when creating the call). If the contracts information are displayed on the call, this makes it easier to find back the contract ID or the phone ID when we have to work on it. Regards, CEL

Install to a SAN?
I have a fiber raid array that is on the network. Is it possible for me to map a drive to that array and install the NFA to that mapped drive, and still have it work? I notice in previous posts that you cannot point the data storage from the mysql install to a separate drive, you must install the entire program on that drive. Thanks!

Monitoring an APC UPS
I set up my APC SmartUPS 5000. I gave it an IP address and set the SNMP information. I was able to discover it and it was found as a desktop, so I changed the device information. It has the blue star next to it however all of the status info says N/A. What should I do?

hi i monitoring disk space and i have 2 alarms and 2 notification profile i its the same disk but one is checking in gb and the second is mb i want to know if i could that in the alarm with the gb it will send me amail and in the mb it will run a program its the same disk 60 gb that when it get to 5 gb i want to send me amail and in 500 mb it will run a program thanks guy
SSH v2 support
I thought you had a patch somewhere to enable ssh v2 support under OpManager. I'm in the process of redoing the config and moving to a different monitor server, and can't find any reference to it anymore. Right now I get "Cannot add Monitor. Currently the SSH version 2.0 is not supported." when I try to add a CLI monitor.
Request Level field
Hello, All. It seems that the "Level" field is not visible/enabled in the New Request form, unless you are the administrator (or have admin rights). Can someone, please, confirm this (or tell what am I doing wrong)? TIA. Frank

Don't know if anybody else uses this at their company but we use budget codes and for instance big department boss man wants big computer, asks "have we got any more money left in my budget" Click of a button and so the signing authority can choose the budget code. Watchguard OID/MIB returns correct value only in MIB Browser
I loaded my Watchguard MIB into MIB Browser and queried my firewall and received the correct "tunnel Peer address" which is the correct IP address of the client (peer) making a VPN connection to the firewall. The OID queried is: .1.3.6.1.4.1.4355.6.5.1.2.1.3 which says it is read only and is "The remote IP address of the current tunnel" The syntax is IpAddress. Cannot monitor server/Oracle DB where Application is install
Hi, we are currently evaluating Application Manager and we have 1 problem: On the server(Win2003, no firewall) with Oracle(9.2.06) where Application Manager is installed and used, we cannot setup an OS and Oracle Monitor for that server. Reason: OS Authentication(Administrator) fails and Oracle login(system) fails. We checked the accounts and passwords many times - they cannot be the problem. What's the problem??? Business rules do not work with emailed requests
The majority of our users email their requests to our "helpdesk". We were hoping that we could use queues to help organize our tier I support staff. The problem is, the business rules only seem to work on request submitted via webform, not email. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Regards, Ryan Harmer

Accessing Tomcat server in DMZ
I'm having difficulty getting App. Manager to monitor some of our Tomcat servers that reside in the DMZ. The App. Manager server is inside the DMZ, and I'm configuring it to monitor a series of servers all located in the DMZ with manager running on port 7001. I can connect to the Tomcat manager using the same address/port from my own machine, but the App. Manager server fails. Can not trigg on SNMP trap despite listener configuration
I configured trap listener with a Enterprise specific trap. (see trapListenerCfg.jpg attachment) When I send this trap to the the ApplicationsManager, I can see it in the "Unsolicited Traps" window. I never see it in the "Configured Traps". The action associated to this trap is not executed. However I thought I properly configured the SNMP Trap Listener details. (see unsolicitedTrap.jpg attachment) How does one do to have ApplicationsManager capture traps as configured in the TRAP Listener window?
Cannot add URL monitor
Hi there, When i try to add a URL monitor, not just the standard www.xx.yy, but with trailing directives like http://www.xx.yy/directive1/file_underscore_test1.aspx it gives me an error: XX is down, Reason : Host Unavailable I guess it has something to do with the underscores in the URL monitor or is the URL monitor not capable of monitoring aspx files? Schedule being ignored?
I have created some reports, but they only appear to run at the creation time rather than the scheduled time. So if I create a report at 11:36, I cant get it sent at 09:30 .. it always sends at 11:36 unless I remake the report at 09:30 and delete the original one. Is there a way of editing the reports/alerts once they have been made? Neither is a hardship though. Thanks

Due Date change
When I change some data (description, category) from a request that is closed or overdue, automatically the application changes Due Time. This changes aren't related with SLA conditions. custom SNMP counters stop working...

Assigning assets
We currently assign computers to a user name. The adavantage is you can find the user quicker than looking for just a tag number. The disadvantage is when users move around or leave. Is anybody tracking by Department or by asset tag number? Is it easier? Thanks, Tom.
How to change the IP address into dns name?
In the SourceIN/Out (DestinationIN/OUT, Conversation) top report, after we click the [Resolve DNS], the Source ip or/and destination ip are still display as "IP address", not the dns name. Why NFA cannot reslove the dns name? I means how to change the ip address into dns name? for example: for 71.5.7.191 , its dns name will be www.sina.com
