Our cert for the server PMP has recently expired but when I view the cert it is issued by itself instead of our CA server. So how to I renew the cert using PMP? Thanks.
Map not update
Hi Support Team My Customer have problem about OpManager V.8 (Build 8723) . I install in Widows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition Service Pack 2 . My Problem is sometime the symbol in map not update status. I try to poll but it still the same. If i unmanage and manage it the symbol will update . Please help me to solve the problem. Auto login problems and layout question
When using auto login and setting up resources, I am having problem using it with ACT Premium for Web. The system uses .aspx files. Hello, Is it possible to have auto login for websites setup in the personal password section without having it setup as a resource? If this cannot be done, does that mean that every website a user wants to auto login with their credentials needs to be setup as a resource by our admin? Thanks, Karim

When I am trying to load the mib enclosed, I receive the following error message : Error parsing MIB:NOKIA-IPSO-SYSTEM-MIB.txt Exception while loading MIB:Could not parse the file C:/PROGRA~1/ADVENT~1/ME/OPMANA~1/./mibs/NOKIA-IPSO-SYSTEM-MIB.txt. I recently added a new collector and I routed some routers to go to the new collector, and it shows up in there and works great. But there is still the old entry on the collector. How can I delete the old device on the other collector that I will no longer be using?

Replying to a Conversation
Recently, we have been receiving E-mails but when I try to reply to them, only the sender is included in the To Field and all other people who had been included on the mail are stripped. This is making it harder for us to keep everybody in the loop when updating tickets. Before the 8.0 update, we were able to hit reply and everybody who had been on the original mail would be included (like Reply All). Could this please be fixed as it is causing us problems as we have to hunt down the original E-mail
Is VMWare ESX server status linked to VM?
Hi, I have several ESX servers configured in OpManager each one running several VM's. On the ESX server there is no alarms, all the monitors are clear but the status of the server is trouble. It seems that the status of the ESX server changes depending on the status of the VM's that are running on it, is this correct? If it is, can it be configured somewhere? I don't want the status of my ESX server to change when there are alarms on the VM's. Each of the VM's usually have their own snapshot
Java.exe pegging the CPU
This manifest itself as a 500 error with a Java Heap size error. I followed instructions to change the configuration of the Heap Size and raised it from 128/256 (Start/Max) to 256/768. The Heap Size error went away and now we can just not close a log. It spins its wheels and eventually stops loading and stays on the log with no closure. During this, Java.exe on the server is pegging the processor to 95 to 100%. I have restarted the server as well as the service with no affect. Thanks

Map View Missing Options
Recently we went to visit a company that was already using "OpManager" to see how they used it. We were interested to find that they appeared to have have additional options available to them when viewing a Business View. When they selected the Business View they had two additional menus; "Currently Showing" and "Set THis View as Default". The "Currently Showing" menu allowed them to view the map as a "Map View", "List" or "Traffic Map" (See below) When we look at our Business Views we dont get

Hello all I have installed Appmanager 9 and build number is 9500. I added a http url as service in appmanger9 for testing. But it was showing as down as it was unreachable. Then I deleted the http url as service entirely from Monitors. But On the Home page under Summary Dashboard > Web server/services the 'availability' and 'health' icons are still showing red, on clicking the Root Cause Analysis message it gives 'http Url' is down. and on clicking the message it takes to nowhere coz since the
Process Count
Hi We have a server that runs multiple instances of a process, i want to know when more than 15 instances are running. I've set this up but my problem is that an alarm is generated when the process is not running, in our case it is normal for the process to sometimes not run, i only want to know when more than 15 are running. Is this possible?
How to know the memory type and frequency of client PC?
I want to know the RAM/ memory type (i.e DDR1/ DDR2 etc) and its frequency (533MHz/ 667MHz etc) on the client PC on which Desktop Central client is installed.. Please advise on how to view the RAM type as well as RAM frequency of the memory fitted in client PC such that the details are visible in the central console.

wrong Task link in mail notification
Hello, i'am using a mail notification to warn technicien each time a task is assigned to them. But the link provided in the mail is not good. I mean the text of for the link is good, but the link itself is not correct (i get both IP and the alias of the server). See exemple below : http://10.24.17.99:8081/tasks/CUDTask.jsp?TASKID=17&MODE=Edit I tried to change the alias, but no way. I guess i made a mistake somewhere, but i can't figure out where.. Update problem
Hi, Performing update 8810 on a 8722 results in a crash on the installation. After reboot server everything is back to "normal" but still 8722. Trying again results in a identical problem. I get this message in the event viewer mysqld-nt: Incorrect key file for table '.\opmanagerdb\objectstolink.MYI'; try to repair it Anyone suggestions to solve this matter? Thnx

Changing database from Mysql to Sql2005
I have just updated successfully from 7509 to 7514 to 7600 to 7602. All updates ran without a problem and works perfectly on MYSQL. Took a full backup of Mysql database, stopped the SD service, changed the database to SQL2005 database server, then let it create the SQL database called "servicedesk". Started SD so that it creates all the tables in the servicedesk database, then stopped SD. Ran the restoredata script file selected the 7602 full backup and restored it to the new SQL2005 database "servicedesk".
Error with request link
Hi, I have a business rule set up that emails technicians when an incident is requested that has emergency priority. The RequestLink in the rule doesn't work. When you click it from an email I get this: http://icthelpdesk:8080/http:/icthelpdesk:8080/WorkOrder.do?woMode=viewWO&woID=3952 as you can see the first part is replicated which is why its not working. Possibility to check a custimized event.log
I want to include a alert-rule for a custmized event.log (a program writes the error/warings in a separate event.log/LogTyp, not in the commen application.log). How can I includ such an custom LogType? When I create a Alert-Profile with choosing the LogTyp from the dro-down list, I only get the common options (Application, Security, System etc.) and not the specific logtyps from the Host-group. I noticed some useful sql code in a number of searches I have done, but would suggest that it would be helpful to have all sql and custom reports collected into a separate forum, with meta tags to list dbase and version compatibility, relations to link variants, versioning, created by etc, perhaps even a elance/mechanical turk like bounty system for developing reports.
Groups not updating
I'm having a bit of a problem; I wanted to deploy Office 2010 to a set of computers defined in a AD Security Group. Problem is, when I apply a configuration and assign it to that group, it just uses the members originally in the group. That is; if I add computers to that group, it won't reflect in DC; and consequently nothing happens. Same goes for custom groups. This can't be by design? If it is, it's a huge flaw. I want to be able to add computers to predefined groups, and they'll get the software

Hi, Sometimes the the alarm mail contains a link back to appmanger, but this link is incomplete. It only contain the machine-name missing the domain part. Example: http://xxx.yyy.zz:9090/<some more> Then the yyy.zz part is missing, so where should this part be fetched from?
New Request - Description Field
Is it possible to force the request fields, such as the description to be text and not html? The problem we are having is the formatting that is imposed on tickets that get created when html is pasted into the description field.

Hello, How can I customize sms message for SNMP traps ? At the moment there is extra details: skd-hq-rb1 (Server) – Critical generated at May 16.2011 05:52:03 PM .1.3.6.1.4.1.1000.1.2: <trap info> OID and some words can be skipped. Can you please add customization in Admin ? Also, how can I choose sms length ? At the moment it's 125 chars, but it can be 160 chars. Thanks

Is it possible to set thresholds/alerts on "CPU Ready"? Data is being captured and is reported for each virtual machine, however i cant find where to setup an alert. Regards Jared
