Understanding traffic volume analysis with VPN tunnel
If I monitor the complete traffic of a Cisco ASA Firewall outside Interface, I get traffic volumes for my servers inside IPs and also for the esp traffic between the outside tunnel interfaces between sites. The esp traffic volume is similar to the inside traffic pakets. So,... is the esp traffic the hole traffic including the encapsulated inside IP pakets or is it only the addional encryption overhead? IPSLA not working
hello, We have the IPSLA module installed on Netflow 9.1 Professional. The module seems to be very buggy. We are trying to query 4 Cisco 2811 routers only one works..I have previously contacted support which they have called to provide support but after an hour of troubleshooting I was told the problem is with the routers. I have verified the configuration and even changed one of the routers hardware and the problem is still the same. If from the router command line I run sh ip sla monitor statistics

Changed Password Policy on SBS Server but ADSelfService still shows old Policy
I changed the domain policy to allow the user password to be changed in 0 days rather than 2 days but ADSelfService still shows minimum age of 2 days. Why is it not updating after stopping and starting the service? I also did a gpupdate /force after making the policy change in Group Policy manager and then stopped and started the service for ADSelfService.
SDP Asset Management - Cisco Equipment Configuration Management
Does SDP provide such feature that I can use network scan to discover all the cisco router/switch via SNMP and also retrive the IOS version, configuration files into the asset record? And also provide the configuration comparison feature? If not, is it possible to integrate the DeviceExpert with SDP? Thanks.
Requesters via external database.
Hi All, Is there anyway to have SD+ or SD+MSP query an external database to get a list of requesters without importing them to log tickets. We are trying to prevent having to import and maintain requesters in SD+ from our accounting and production systems which are integrated. Thanks Tim.
Disassociate technician groups from sites
Unless I'm missing something, could I request that technician groups be decoupled from sites? We have several technician groups which with very few exceptions consist of consistant groups of technicians across all sites. If groups of technicians & their associated email notification settings could be set up as a self contained entity, these groups could then be linked to a site rather than having to recreate them for each & every site (which is a real pain if the group changes). Import Users from AD OU
Hello We're trying to have all of our password resources be assigned permissions based on the AD group that the users are in. We created an OU for PMP, and would like to have all of our groups underneath the OU. When I try to import the groups from the OU using the Import from AD feature, I cannot figure out which naming convention it requires. Anyone have an article or thread that might guide me in getting this to work? TIA Mike

Hello for the past several months I have not been able to get Mail Fetching to work. I've tried our hosted email solution by creating a general helpdesk account and I've also created a gmail account and neither work. Also, I've had to re-install ServiceDesk and now LDAP Authentication won't work.

Submit button for a new request quite often doesn't work
I'm using Firefox 5.0.1 on MAC OSX 10.7. I quite often attempt to submit a request in the service desk and when clicking the submit button nothing happens. The reset and the cancel button work and I can type in the various fields as well as make selections in the drop down boxes but the darn submit button doesn't do anything and there is no error message indicating the problem. Has anyone experienced this? I was also getting this with FireFox 4.0 and MAC OSX 10.6. Is there a fix for this?

Ease of changes to default values
We were trying to assign a technician to a group the other day & for some reason in the particular area we were in, instead of getting the complete list of technicians, we were being presented with the default list of technicians. What became apparent after a lot of searching through the admin icons & help files is that there appears to be no easy way to change default groups / technicians / behaviours. Could this be implemented as an extra little group of icons in the admin area?

Changed Domain Controller...now cant login
So this morning our domain controller was changed to a different server. The old domain controller also had our AD users/computers on it and that has been moved to the new one also. So, now we can not login because it's a different server thus the old no longer has the AD users. Is there anyway to change that without having to move back to our old domain controller?
Business view + spanning tree
Hello, Could you please tell me if there is any possible way how can I show link between two switches by different colour when one switch has got on a port setup spanning tree (for example blocked status) ? Because there is only in "Business view" link status such as Shutdown, Down, Others and unManage. At this time I can only show monitor on a switch by using .1.3.6.1.2.1.17.2.15.1.3 oID. Where I see on a port state 2 which is blocked status. So question is How can I see that in the business view.
Unresponsive Server Notification
Greetings, I have a server that becomes unresponsive, however, still responds to pings. Most of the monitored items become unresponsive although process monitors still show green. I don't receive any notification of any failures or that the server is down or that performance monitors are not receiving information from the server. Does anyone have a way to be notified in this situation? I don't like being notified by users!! Thanks! Chris

SNMPTRAP not raised as alarms at OpManger due to exceptions
Hello My service sends an SNMP TRAP to OpManager but the alarm is never raised. We can see the TRAP in the MIBparser tool but not in the OpManager GUI (not in alarms). Looking at the logs i saw that the nosuchinstance exceptions were raised due to the lack of 3 parameter in the trap. Is it possible for OpManager to raise an alarm even if there are some exceptions?? Login failure - locked account
When logging into the Password Manager Pro web interface, if a user enters their login credentials incorrectly just once it will lock their Active Directory account. We have very strict password policies and lockout thresholds on our domain, however it takes more than 1 failure to lock accounts in our environment. Quick Create Ticket Issue Group Setting
Is there a way to modify the Quick create ticket settings to also include the ability to select the Group, and possibly even have it auto select the group based on the user that is logged in, as it does now with the Site.
Service Catalog - visible to requesters?
I have a requester log in created using Self service portal. When logged in I cannot see the Service Catalog. We don't currently use the Service Catalog, I'm looking at implementing it but this doesn't make sense to me if our requesters cannot see it. Please let me know if I am doing something wrong??
