OpManager, can it monitor processes?
Is it possible for OpManager to monitor for the occurrence of certain “Processes"? As an example we have a server where there should always be 6 processes running named "CareProvider.Messenger.exe *32". If there are less than 6, then it should alert. For example: Can OpManager also monitor Scheduled Tasks?

Account & Sub Account
Greetings: I am trying to use sub accounts. I have been able to create one account Test-Account1 with 2 sub accounts Sub-Test and Sub-Test2. Then I'm able to assign the contact Test Contact to the sub account Sub-Test Then "Test Contact" creates a request. I would expect the associated account to be Sub-Test but it becomes Test-Account1 instead and I cannot change it... I click on the search contact icon... I click on Test-Contact...the account remains the main account and does not switch to Sub-Test!!???

Monitor Backup of ADSelfService Plus Database
Is it possible to monitor the success of the automatic DB backup inside ADSSP ? Since our default backup tool does not have integration with MySQL we have to rely on the backup that ADSSP creates and then backup the .zip file. We would like to be sure that the backup (.zip) that was created is correct / consistent.

From 8xxx version, I'm using mail spam filter with rule: sender - not consist - @my_domain_name.com,@my_friends_domainname.com But Today, it's stop working. SDP 9014 I've got error in log: Mail Filter condition matched. Hence not creating a new request. How can I fix this error?

Remote Control Issues
Hi All, Please help as I'm starting to get really annoyed with the Remote Control facility in Desktop Central. On connecting to machines, sometimes my mouse or keyboard will not work, so even though I can see the remote screen I can't select or type anything to it. Even pressing the CTRL+ALT+DEL button will at times not work. I've tried using Chrome and IE, both the ActiveX or java plugin options, but to no avail. Am I doing something wrong and has anyone else experienced similar issues? thanks
Terminal Server performance ideas?
I tried installing this on a few terminal servers (Windows 2003) and it caused major slowdowns. Has anyone else used DesktopCentral on TS? What about terminal servers with Windows Server 2008? Is that better?

Associating users to workstation assets
Hello there, We are synchronizing our users with Active Directory, and also using domain asset scanning to import our workstations. I have scripted a solution to store a user's primary PC hostname in the user's AD object, by way of extendedAttribute1. Is there some way..be it natively through the admin interface or on the back end via SQL query to utilize this information to associate a user to a workstation without having to manually do so? It seems like if we have the information all in one
Delete "invisible" technician...?
Hi - I just deleted a technican account, but it's still listed in the dropdown on the Request Template and I can't now create a new account with the same login name. Is there a way to manually flush the technican account from the database? Thanks, Nick
MDM Execution status - Failed
Hi I am trying to set up Desktop Central v9, MDM I have created and published a simple windows phone 8.1 policy, and associated it to the windows phone corporate group. It does not apply to my test windows 8.1 phone, and the execution status says failed, and the comment says 404 : Name I cannot see what that error is and how to fix it. Can anyone help? Thanks
Java deployment - "Error occurred while downloading the required files."
I have deployed Java 7 Update 65 (32-bit) to 239 machines in our organization. There are 150 successful and only 5 failed which doesn't concern me to much at this point. There are 32 machines that are in retry status and the majority of these machines show message " Error Occurred while downloading the required files." I have seen this message on a few other deployments as well and I am not sure if the problem is from the Desktop Central Server or the Distribution Server. Has anyone run into this
Inventory summary not up to date
Hi, I have noticed an issue over the last few days that the inventory summary will not update. I click generate summary, and it says it is successful. Unfortunately, after refreshing the error is still there. Computers still have old software in their inventory. It appears to update newly added software.
Workstation Multiple IP's on different networks
We have workstation's that have some virtual NIC's, on different networks. SDP is pulling all of the interfaces and IP's correctly, but it is binding to the wrong one as the default. This seems to cause the agent not to report back correctly or allow to remote to the workstation. Is there a way to select what the proper IP is, or a better way for the agent to determine that? -Nick-

Custom Static User Group not shown in list of available target groups?
Hello, We have DC8 and I've created a Custom Static Group of users successfully and it shows in the list of Custom Groups in the Admin area where I created it, but when I am modifying my configuration and attempting to target this group and select domain\custom group\browse, my Custom Static User Group does NOT show in the list for me to select. I have done this successfully at least once, but have tried several other times and have not been able to get my Custom Group to show in the available list
Technician only one than can Edit change
We have a big problem as we are trying to upgrade to Version of Servicedesk plus. We have technicians that are assigned changes but occasionally technicians leave, and we need to reassign the technician who will work on the change. Currently not even the sysadmin can edit a change? How can we change the technician of an already assign change.
ServiceDesk Plus - Check Agent
Hi, I have to change my server name, how can I make sure that my workstation is pointing to the new server name? I have deployed a few machines with the new .msi with new settings, servername, port, protocol (through SCCM) and all went ok. I'm running service desk version 9 Since Response time is a key to measure our staff KPI, what is the proper wokflow for the system to capture Responded Date? Looking at the current system, Responded Date will be fill up if the technician response through the system. However, if the technician Resolved the case the Responded Date will not be capture. Can anyone advise how to properly handle this?

Unable to connect to rest api from powershell

Active Directory Import OU
We have moved our user accounts into a custom OU structure from the AD root as this is recommended for larger organisations to make group policy management easier. However, the AD Import seems to suggest it will only import users from within the Built-in Users folder? Can the AD Import function import users from a different OU structure please?
Service Desk goes off
Please need help, 3 days ago when I tried logging into service desk, I noticed that the drop down for which you select the domain your userID belongs to was missing, tried clearing cookies, and restarting by it didn't fix it. Yesterday, the application came back to normal without doing anything. Edit existing ticket problems in Browsers
Recently I'm having difficulties after editing a ticket. I would update the ticket with all the required fields and then click submit, but then it would take me back and ask to supply a rep code again. I have seen that when you edit the resolution - it removed the current selected rep, and then when select the rep again after updating the resolution and click submit, the browsers (IE and Chrome) would come up with a popup message: "Problem" you can click okay, and then it's updated. Search Issue in build 9016
We recently updated from build 8212 through the upgrade path to 9016. Our technicians add a reference to a book id and what page of book each request refers to: for ex. "8219/250" for book # 8219, page # 250. They used to be able to search for this example by typing "8219/250" (without quotes) into the search field. This no longer brings up any search results. I’ve setup the mail server part successfully and both SDP and OP are able to communicate to the server. My problem lies into the Add-On/Products settings.
