host not alive in the network
I have been trying to set the SNMP trap receiver but no luck so far. I have configured port 162 for listening the traps but is getting nothing. I have done SNMP ping to 192.168.10.20 which is the server sending the traps and in the status it says hos not alive in the network. The same is for the host that is listening. I also tried to change the port from 161 to whateverbut in the SNMP scan I got system not alive.
Config File for Extreme
Are there plans to setup the Config File Manager to work with other vendors besides Cisco. In particular I would like to also see Extreme switches. Thanks, Earl
Error in 5031 adding switch
Hello I try to add our core switch Cisco 3750 to OpUtils without success. I go to Switch Port Mapper - Switches - Add Switch. Then i enter the IP address and SNMP community and click Add Switch. After 3 hours the status is still In Progress. I deleted the switch and added it again but still the same, it doesn't add. I added a bunch of other Cisco 2950 and 2960 without any problem. When i go to Diagnostic Tools - SNMP Ping i can ping the 3750 without problems, so SNMP should be correctly configured
SwitchPortMapper / Export issue
I Just download OpUtils 5. There are "Failed Switches" that I would like to export in Excel. But after I click "Export As" icon. Size of Excel, CSV, even PDF is 0 and it contain no information. Do you have any suggestion? For more information my Build Number is 5040 Thank you
Multiple Subnets and DNS Servers
Using OpUtils Prof. Very nice. We have multiple VLANS and multiple Subnets with multiple domains. Is there a way to say, for instance Subnet 192.168.9.0 uses 192.168.9.100 for DNS while Subnet 192.168.20.0 uses 192.168.20.20 for DNS Thank you.
Problems with Switch Port Mapper
I need to add another router but I am unable to do it, I want to use swtich port mapper tool that is based on the result from the router. I have a swtich where all the ARP table is on a specific router, so i need to add this router but I am unable to do it, I know my router has SNMP Up and running, if a use another software to retrieve arp table from my router using SNMP v2 I am able to do it

Generating Rogue Detection Reports
Can we do something different with the way that Rogue Detection generates reports. Pretty much every current format is worthless. The PDF version has very large fonts and is only able to fit 2 or so entries per page - Columns need to be widened for descriptions. None of the export formats CSV, etc contain any of the port information. Please look at and address. Thanks in advance.

G'day people, I chanced upon this forum (thru' web search) when I was looking for a tool to monitor what I'll describe immediately following: I would like to monitor for a change in IP and get an email alert. Specifically, I have a server running on a dynamic public IP; I'm aware of dynamic DNS services (which I'm using). My interest is that when the public IP changes, I would like to receive an email notification. Wud appreciate any kind advice as to which tool is most suited for my purpose. Thanks
Time Showing in Graphs
Dear Sir, I have installed Manage Engine OpUtils 5 on my pc. Everything is ok but the graphs showing in bandwidth is show time 2 hours ahead of actual time in my country. SNMPv3 for OpUtils
When will SNMPv3 be available for OpUtils. We have just finished taking out SNMP v1&v2 comm strings in all routers and switches. With this happening, Switch Port Mapper, Config File Manager (Tools I use the most) will not work any longer. Thanks Gene Geng
upload config from config file manager
I am attempting to upload a config using the "upload config file" option in the upper right corner of the Config File Manager main page. I saved the config from the device, using the oputils .config file type. I opened it in wordpad, edited 2 lines, and saved it back to my desktop. I attempted to upload it using the "upload to single device" tab. it appears to do nothing when I click on the upload tab. I also attempted it from the "upload to multiple devices" tab but only sending it to one device.
Config File Schedule Hourly
It would be extremely beneficial to have the schedule for Config File backups allow hourly backups. Also, how many backup configurations are kept before they are overwritten, if at all. Thanks, Earl

Creating customised reports
Hi From the Reports tab, I can create the standard reports (Volumes with least free space, servers disk usage report etc), but what I'd like to be able to do is define my own reports. For example rather than producing a report showing volumes with the least free space (which currently gives it in MB), I'd like to create a report showing volumes with the least percentage free space, as this is of far more value to me than in MB. SSH and HTTPS for tools

OpManager 8 startup issues due to McAfee Virus scan
Hi All, If you are have OpManager 8 with McAfee running on the same server, then you will face some issues with starting OpManager, because McAfee doesn't allow MySQL to start. A simple way to fix would be to disable McAfee during startup and once OpManager starts, you can enable McAfee and exclude the OpManager folder from scanning. Can an Alarm Message be Customized
I'd like to customize the Alarm messages to include additional information for the technicians. I see variables such as $MONITOR and $UNITS but I can't find a listing of these variables in the documentation. Can any text be entered into the Alarm Message text box? Loading new MIBS
Hi All, We have a IBM3310 Tape Library which we would like to monitor through OpManager. I opened up a support call with IBM for the MIBS and they could only provide the MIBS in a documented pdf. Eventlog Status Clear Notification
Hello, in the eventlog rules there is a rule that called "Created printer". I use this rule to get the information that a printer was installed on this device. I get an alarm that the severity of this device is "Attention" and also i get a email notification. Now I must clear the alarm that the status of this device will go back to normal, but we don't want do that, because the installation of a printer are no error. So I changed the severity from Attention to Clear. After this change I get no email
How disable certain alarms in OP Manager 8
