Hello, I am monitoring a few devices running Gentoo Linux. OpManager is running on Centos5.3. OpManager is sending snmp queries to some of my devices every other second constantly. It looks like it is from the hostresouces mib hrSWRunTable. Any ideas on why this is constantly running in a loop? I am not monitoring any processes on my servers. Change MySQL DataBase to SQL 2005

Exchange 2007
I've added a couple servers that run Exchange 2007, but OpManager doesn't apply any Exchange monitoring templates for that server (Like AD or SQL). Am I missing a step? Thanks Shaun
Ongoing "Interface with this IP already exists" issue
Running opmanager build 8007 on RHEL 5x As a database developer, I cant imagine any other reason for these repeated database corruption issues when deleting/adding devices, other than an improperly designed database. Anyway, cant add a new device which was supposed to have been removed previously. Have also run the RemoveDB script and restarted and rebooted. No effect. SNMP Version for BulkData custom monitors
Hi, I have an Enterprise MIB that I need to setup for custom polling of CPU utlisation snapshots (5sec and 30sec) The trouble seems to be that when entering in the OID (which is a V2c MIB) OpManager only polls with version1 Is there way to dictate which version is used (via a config file maybe) ?? Hello , i have installed opmanager 7 (7205) with licence 1000 devices. a dayback it got crashed , now i m trying to restore it. i have backup of it. now, my question is In my last instalation i was saving opmanger database on my external disc and as per opmanager i have modified my batch file startMySQL.bat under \OpManager\bin folder and make the changes as below. Top Ten Report Question
8007 on Windows 2003 server - In my dashboard I have a top 10 CPU utilization widget and a top 10 memory usage widget. For some reason in looking at that dashboard today I noticed that the top 10 data is no longer displayed. However, as long as the specified period for the widget is anything but today, 24 hour, or 12 hour it will display graphical data. My questions is why is data suddenly not available for those periods? I assume this data is developed through the reporting tool as it exhibits

Hi, I'm curious if there is a way to add your own background to a business view. How to create an own Report for Disk Size
Hi Folks, I am using the OpManager and now I want to try to find out how much Disk Space on the Servers is used. There is already an prepared Monitor for that but this one did not show the correct size (because 4,95 GB are 4.0 GB for the OpManager) and I need that for billing purposes and 1 GB make a difference ! Map display not listing servers / Missing devices
I have just done a complete fresh install of OpManager 8 with a new SQL2005 database both running on Server 2003. After adding a new device (either by auto discovery or manually adding) it does not display on the Map tab, but does on the list view. When clicking on said device from the list view I then get the error: Unable to find the object: <server.domain>

Good Day I`m getting problems with some of the wmi monitors with opmanager 8 I have added a device, we using SNMP. But we need to monitor the Processor Queue Length, the pages per second and disk queue length. I have added those monitors but if I do a test it fails with no respond. Attention alert will not clear
I just upgraded to OpManager8 from OpManager6 and everything seems to be good except an attention alert on two of the servers. It said that it missed one poll but it they are configured to trigger a critical alert after one missed poll. It has been 24 hrs and the two servers have till not cleared the Attention alert. I have looked but I can't find a way to clear these alerts. Don't know if I can't find it in this new version of if there is an issue with these two hosts. They where fine after the

Time Stamps of Alarms
From a device snapshot page, the Show Alarms action gives a list of the devices alarms sorted by date. However the date / time for many alarms is not correct. What is shown is when the alarm was CLEARED, not when it actually occurred. Many alarms such as 'interface down' are cleared manually after reviewing, and the database should retain the original fault time. Why does it record the time it was cleared? Norbert
Problem Adding 64Bit Linux
Problem Adding 64bit Linux - RHEL4.7. I've done it in auto discovery and manually add it via the Add Device but all are successful with no error however the new addedd devices cannot be seen on the server list nor desktop list. Please help. were currently evaluating OPManager. I have a App Manager and had no problem with this 64 bit server. I can see thier CPU, Memory, Disk, etc... but not in OPManager. I using the latest OPManager. Arnold
Unable to add snmp strings
Got an unusual problem, Trying to add community strings to a Cisco 6506 IOS based switch in Opmanger, and keep getting an error saying that the snmp strings failed (these are common to a whole bunch of switches), no errors for failed snmp on the actual switch logs. So on another server I installed the "free" version of Opmanager and using cut and paste added the community strings no trouble at all !!. So what is wrong with our fully registered version then ? bug fixes versus news features in Opmanager
Hi Opmanager team, I'd like to complement you on the value and features you've got in your product. Unfortunately, I seem to spend a lot of time babysitting it due to buggy behaviors. For example, right now I've got 2 cases open due to problems that I think were created due to weak or missing field validation. And there are many other issues I've just worked around on my own. (running 8007 on RedHat) I would recommend your developers slow down on the new features and spend more time on bug fixes.

So exactly how much of a "users forum" are actually about users when topics and postings are all filtered by the company? One of the primary benefits of open and collaborative environments is access to near real-time support and community driven collaboration. This benefit is simply lost when a user can post an urgent issue on a forum, and 3 days later it still doesn't appear on the forums. Very disappointing.

I try to monitor an AIX 5 with SNMP, I have uploaded the mib for AIX, and I can test it with the MIB browser. Hello, I migrated to OPManager 8 latest build 8006 After few days, distrubution avalability stopped to work, I can display last 24 hours, today and yesterday but others are not working e.g. last 7 days shows some data but not the 2 last days.
