SNMP Not working for Cisco Switch and ASA
I'm running OpManager Build Number 7100. I can get SNMP info from two Windows servers without a problem. But I have two Cisco switches and an ASA that I can only ping and not get any SNMP info from. They are configured correctly and I have the same model switches being monitored correctly at other client sites. Any ideas? Thanks,
Wrong disk information
Hi forum. I'm having problems with OpMan showing wrong disk information. On a backup server I have serval stacked disk arrays (HP MSA) and OpManager can't find out how to find the total size. (See attached pics.) Can anyone help me on this? Regards Kaspar Brygger
Cisco Switch monitors
Hi, We have a couple of Cisco Catalyst 3750 & 2960 that we monitor with OpManager 8. We have successfully added them and they seem to be recognized by OpManager, however not all the monitors seem to be working. Are these monitors not supported? (same thing happens with the C3750). Regards, Mathias!
Can't delete alarm
Hi everybody. I'm having trouble and get an error when trying to clear or delete an alarm. It's only if a "Service" has been reporting problems and not in other categories. If I restart the server the alarms can be cleared/deleted but I don't want to restart every time I wan't to clear/delete a "Service" alarm. Anyone? Regards Kaspar Brygger
Interfaces not recognized in OpManager
Dear All, Recently I have upgraded and updated my OpManager version 7 (build number 7200) to version 8 (Service Pack 0 2 4). In the last weeks OpManager have faced problems reseting by himself (this problem already happened before) but in the last week the problem was major and was necessary to repair DB. After that problem in the last week, the interfaces of the equipments are not beeing recognized, the credential are not able to change (with the user admin) and several times when jump to a equipment

Can't delete switch interface
When I try to remove a switch interface from monitoring, I get an error stating 'Unable to delete the interface'. This happens on multiple switches (HP switches mainly). I can rediscover interfaces and the entire switch just fine, it just won't let me delete interfaces.
DFS Monitoring
Can I monitor a DFS share if I don't know the IP Address? \\Share.name\Level1\Level2 We've been allocated some space on a SAN with Quotas and I'd like to monitor it to make sure we don't exceed our allocated usage.

Is it possible to remove all from devices on maps?
I have a custom map showing 16 routers. Quite a few of these routers are located in the same cities, and the device names end up being layered on top of each other and unreadable. Is it possible to remove the device names from devices on maps and just keep the onmouseover popup? This would make the maps far cleaner and easier to intepret.

Multiple Dependencies
Hi! I've added some dependencies to my managed devices. It would be very nice if I could set more than only one dependency. For example I could give one server (with two ports) three settings. One for each port (connected switches) and another one for the connected UPS. So the device wouldn't come up with an error if any of the ohter ones, which are set in dependencies, raise an error. Monitor via a batch script?
I have a device that cannot be monitored via SNMP, however, there are a few things I can get via various windows batch files that would be useful to monitor. Is it possible to add a batch file as a monitor? For example, one of the batch files would return a single integer as a representation of available capacity, and we would like to be able to trend that data.
WMI Monitor Issues
When trying to monitor CPU, Memory, and Disk Utilization using WMI It fails to get results. When performing the test I noticed that it looks like there is a bad path when trying to run the scripts. Opmanager is looking in the directory "/conf/applications/scripts" when the directory is named "/conf/application/scripts". I have attached screenshots for reference. Generating Alerts
We have a lot of Opmanager alerts for certain servers, routers, switches, networks, etc that send out an email to an alert distribution group when one device/system goes down. What we would like to do is to create a kind of master alert that would watch say 3 different devices and then send out an email to an escalation distribution group if only if all 3 go down . I'm not sure if this is clear, but let me know if you have any questions. I'm looking to see if this is possible?
Microwave Radios and OpManager
Hi. Has anybody successfully setup some microwave radios in OpManager? When I setup as a desktop or server, I am able to snmp get the traffic interfaces, but beyond that, all I can see is the icmp ping. I want to get at the RSL and TX power, among other, performance monitors inherent to microwave. When I attempt to use the relevant microwave mib through device template, the options are all non relevant to microwave radios
Disk information
Does anyone know you you can pull in exact disk information for a server. I wold like to run a report for all of our server to include disk information. For example if we have a server with 2 drives C:=30GB and D:=450GB I wold like to see this information in the report. Any ideas?

hi all... i seem to get this error on all domain controllers.. anyone else having the same problems ?? all domain controllers seems to be ok with no other problems apart from this --> ( OS Processor Queue Length ) increasing the threshold seems to be the easiest solution..but.. will there be implications if threshold is increased..?? thank you in advance..FRESKO

server freezes but still respons on ping
hi, one of our most critical servers sometimes hangs up, when this happen people cant use our bussinessystem etc etc (the server is a sql server). the problem is that it still replies to ping, and no event logs are created until the server has been restartded. so we have a server that "tricks" opmanager that it is running based on ping answers, and we dont have any log events for triggering an alarm - what can be done in this situation if we want some kind of surveillance?

Running OpManager and OpUtils on same server

Remove text from device icon
Hi there, When I put the device icon into the map I get the icon plus the name of the device. I want to know if it is possible to remove the text (ip or name) of the device. and if it is possible how can I remove it. so I can get only the device icon.
OpUtil 5 install issues
Hello, Ive installed OpUtils5 on a linux box and am having issues trying to connect to the webserver instance. I accepted the default install port (7080), yet when I browse to http://ipaddress:7080 i get nada. (I did run the start script in OpUtils bin directory) A process table doesn't show anything that looks related to OpUtil. Not sure where to head from here. Suggestions?
MRTG like view of the traffic graphs
Hi, It would be useful to have a view of the traffic graphs like in MRTG where all the graphs are shown on one page, two columns (customizable) because then its very easy to correlate the peaks on different servers with for example the peak on the Internet port.
SNMP Trap Processor using a MIB
Dear people, Im tryen to add a SNMP Trap Processor using a MIB from HP. I would like to add the following mib: cpqcr.mib from the upd830Bmib.zip (HP MIBS) file. But when i add it i get the following error: IMPORTS failed: Could not open file C:/PROGRA~1/ADVENT~1/ME/OPMANA~1/./mibs/CPQHOST-MIB I copied all the mib to the mib folder. Anybody?

Real-Time Dashboard Widgets do not indicate when a threshold is breached
Hello, Real-time dashboard widgests should be customized to enable flashing RED or another color when a threshold is reached or breached. This way one would not need to remember the various therasholds for each monitor. Cheers, LeRoy
