Would like to have the data for all the browsers history collected with each machine. I have a powershell script that uses the browserhistoryview.exe that is available on the internet that i collected and wrote but would love to have this associated with each asset.
Deploy software to a custom group of computers
What is the best way to accomplish the following task in Desktop Central? I want to find all of the systems on our network that still have Internet Explorer 9 installed and update them to Internet Explorer 11. I know how to deploy software, but I don't know how to create a group of computers that contain a particular version of software and then deploy a new software package to that group. Hello, I don´t know, if there is a way to suppress such warnings or better question, if there are patches already installed, why try the Desktop Central to install such Patches? No missing OS patches?
I'm using the free/trial version of Desktop Central & yesterday when I ran a scan it reported back that none of the 8 machines I scanned needed any OS patches. Up until then, it had been working perfectly. I know for a fact this is wrong but just to test it, I added another machine that I know needs at least 100 patches, installed the agent but Desktop Central is showing me that it requires none. Install MSI with Transform Files
Greetings all, I'm trying to install FoxIT PhantomPDF with a transform file. I can run all the commands from a command prompt and get the application to install without issue and install using windows group policy. However, I cannot get Desktop Central to install it. I have both the msi and mst uploading in the software package and the configuration is set for a computer configuration. Even on a brand new install of windows it just fails with error 1603. Any ideas on why?

Backup Successful but cannot start server error - after migrating Desktop Central to MS SQL
When I ran the process according to instructions provided back up started once I ran the changedbserver.bat. I then got an error unable to create in master. My DB Admin made a change and I clicked ok. then popped up a box saying backup successful, but you will be unable to start server.

How to move all the managed computers to a new desktopcentral server
Hello, we recently decided to set up a clean desktopcentral server since the old one was running on a server 2008 essensials. We decided to not go for a "clone" but a clean setup - but the next problem is to find out what the best way to deploy the new agents will be, or could we use the allready installed agents and deploy a script on the old desktopcentral server, or do we have to manualy install all the agents?

Hi, We are trying to patch our machines on the network through Patch Management and have setup a deploy patches after hours with automatic reboots. Our issue is what happens to laptops that are taken home overnight and reconnected to the network in the mornings. Will they start to deploy the patches on the laptop and reboot or will they just not get the patches. TIA Damien

I'm in an environment where a legacy program that required local admin rights has gone away and I'm looking for the best way to remove local admin rights my users have to their pc's. Hi everyone, I'm actually testing Desktop Central with a Remote Branch and I got a question : When you deploy an application to a remote branch, the package is (I guess?) downloaded only one time by the distribution server before being deployed onto specified computers. Automatic approval of specific patches
Hi, I've created an automatic deployment configuration for Flash, JAVA and browsers, so that the clients are scanned on a daily base and updated immediately with new critical updates.However, as far as I know, the automatic deployment doesn't do anything for as long as these patches are not manually approved. Am I wrong or is there a way to circumvent this? I don't not want to auto approve ALL the patches automatically.

In dealing with RMM software, I notice they all have A/V lights on the virtual dashboard. I need the same from Desktop Central and I presume I have to write a query report that tells me which machines have no software of a category I named "anti-x". Is there an existing way to do this? We frequently need to locate a machine in DC knowing only who the primary user is. It would be nice to be able to tag machines with multiple, searchable tags - such as #John #Accounting #Basement.
