Exchange 2010 Mailbox Creation - Legacy Mailbox
I'm currently evaluating ADManager Plus. We already use ADAudit Plus and like that product. I've created a custom template to create a user. It seems to work ok with 1 exception. When the Exchange mailbox is created in our Exchange 2010 environment, the mailbox shows up as a legacy mailbox rather than an Exchange 2010 mailbox. The template has the server setting to automatic and the mailbox database automatic. Does anyone know why this occurs? Thank you Ted
Not able to add multiple managers after creating distribution group using ADManager
Hello, I created bulk distribution lists using the following attributes: name sAMAccountName groupType mail targetAddress proxyAddresses msExchAdminGroup mailNickName displayName managedBy However, when we added more managers in exchange, we received the following message: "To save changes on object "", the object must be upgraded to the current Exchange version. After the upgrade, this object cannot be managed by an earlier version of the exchange management Tools. Do you want to continue
Establish STMP Email address
Hi, We are using AD Manager 6.3.0. We are trying to use AD Manager to replace Active directory users and computers for our help desk. Is there a way to establish an new SMTP address in AD Manager similar to the exchange task wizard in Active directory users and computers ? Please see screenshots below:
Error Code 80070005 : Error In Setting Attributes, Access is denied
I am trying to create a single mail enabled contact. I have given the user right in Exchange and right in Active Directory, but I keep getting the access denied error above. It also has this error: Note: Error in creating mail enabled contact, The term 'Enable-MailContact' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again. Click here to troubleshoot.
Create Shared Mailbox Template
Why isn't there a Template for the Create Single Shared Mailbox template like the other Single create pathways in AD Manager? This should be tied to templates so you can create custom naming formats for the fields. The built one pulls from the Display field and doesn't remove any spaces when it attempts to auto populate the smtp address or mail alias.
Exchange mail alias is different domain name to AD domain
Our users email addresses have a different domain than the AD domain... can I configure ADManager Plus to allow this without having to pay for an extra domain? e.g. main domain for AD management is acme.net - email addresses are user@acme.co.uk
Mailbox Full Access Permission
Is there a way to grant an account full access permission to an existing 2010 exchange mailbox in AD Manager? The current feature I see looks like its only for exchange 2003 and doesn't seem to work on exchange 2010.
Automating Selection of Exchange Data Store
I like the requestor being able to request an account with email access; however I am getting push back from our exchange admin since the requestor would have to select the Mail Server and Mail Store. Right now our servers and stores are based off of last name. For example Server 1 contains last names of A through I and the Store is broken down into smaller increments. Is there away to automate the Mail Server/Store based on last name? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks, Ryan Dearman
ADManager does not trigger address policy
Hi, when a user is modified with native Exchange tools, Exchange updates his e-mail addresses according to address policy. For example, when policy says that e-mail address is firstname.lastname@company.com, and the user is renamed from Peter Oldname to Peter Newname, Exchange adds a new SMTP address peter.newname@company.com and makes the old address peter.oldname@company.com a secondary one. This process is not triggered when we modify a user with ADManager. Though the option "Automatically update
