The creation of an approval process is vital to the functioning and efficiency of an organization.

To create this process, you must take a close look at your current approval workflow and record all the steps that an approval must pass through.

With ServiceDesk Plus, we can now restrict whether approval can be sent to anyone or only system users or service request approvers can approve a request, allowing users to approve their own requests and so on.

In most scenarios, when a request is submitted for approval to the concern authority, the helpdesk team may not be held responsible for the delay in approval process. In order to minimize the SLA violation by the helpdesk team, you can stop the timer for requests with status as 'pending approval' or any status that has timer stopped.

A reminder to take action approval can be also be sent to the approver if the action is not taken for N number of days with a customizable email template.

If required, this reminder notification can also be stopped after sending for specific number of times.

All these can be configured from Admin > General settings > Self-Service Portal settings.




The last thing any organization needs is for its work to stall. Idle workers and downtime are not good for business.
